1 Reis 8
1 Então congregou Salomão os anciãos de Israel, e todos os Cabeças das tribos, os príncipes dos pais, dentre os filhos de Israel, ao rei Salomão em Jerusalém; para fazerem subir a arca do concerto do Senhor da cidade de David, que é Sião.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH out of the city of David, which is Zion.
2 E todos os homens de Israel se congregaram na festa, ao rei Salomão, no mês de Ethanim, que é o sétimo mês.
And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
3 E vieram todos os anciãos de Israel: e os sacerdotes alçaram a arca.
And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
4 E trouxeram a arca do Senhor para cima, e o tabernáculo da congregação, juntamente com todos os vasos sagrados que havia no tabernáculo; assim os trouxeram para cima os sacerdotes e os levitas.
And they brought up the ark of YHWH, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
5 E o rei Salomão, e toda a congregação de Israel, que se congregara a ele, estava com ele diante da arca, sacrificando ovelhas e vacas, que se não podiam contar nem numerar pela multidão.
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
6 Assim trouxaram os sacerdotes a arca do concerto do Senhor ao seu lugar, ao oráculo da casa, ao lugar santíssimo, até debaixo das asas dos cherubins.
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YHWH unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.
7 Porque os cherubins estendiam ambas as asas sobre o lugar da arca: e cobriam os cherubins a arca e os seus varais por cima.
For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
8 E os varais sobresairam tanto, que as pontas dos varais se viam desde o santuário diante do oráculo, porém de fora se não viam: e ficaram ali até ao dia de hoje.
And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
9 Na arca nada havia, senão só as duas tábuas de pedra, que Moisés ali pusera junto a Horeb, quando o Senhor contratou com os filhos de Israel, saindo eles da terra do Egito.
There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when YHWH made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10 E sucedeu que, saindo os sacerdotes do santuário, uma nuvem encheu a casa do Senhor.
And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of YHWH,
11 E não podiam ter-se em pé os sacerdotes para ministrar, por causa da nuvem, porque a glória do Senhor enchera a casa do Senhor.
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of YHWH.
12 Então disse Salomão: O Senhor disse que habitaria nas trevas.
Then spake Solomon, YHWH said that he would dwell in thick darkness.
13 Certamente te edifiquei uma casa para morada, assento para a tua eterna habitação.
I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
14 Então virou o rei o seu rosto, e abençoou toda a congregação de Israel: e toda a congregação de Israel estava em pé
And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood; )
15 E disse: bendito seja o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que falou pela sua boca a David meu pai, e pela sua mão o cumpriu, dizendo:
And he said, Blessed be YHWH Elohim of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
16 Desde o dia em que eu tirei o meu povo Israel do Egito, não escolhi cidade alguma de todas as tribos de Israel, para edificar alguma casa para ali estabelecer o meu nome: porém escolhi a David, para que presidisse sobre o meu povo Israel.
Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
17 Também David, meu pai, propuzera em seu coração o edificar casa ao nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel.
And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of YHWH Elohim of Israel.
18 Porém o Senhor disse a David, meu pai: Porquanto propuzeste no teu coração o edificar casa ao meu nome bem fizeste em o propôr no teu coração.
And YHWH said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
19 Todavia tu não edificarás esta casa: porém teu filho, que sair de teus lombos, edificará esta casa ao meu nome.
Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
20 Assim confirmou o Senhor a sua palavra que tinha dito: porque me levantei em lugar de David, meu pai, e me assentei no trono de Israel, como tem dito o Senhor; e edifiquei uma casa ao nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel.
And YHWH hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as YHWH promised, and have built an house for the name of YHWH Elohim of Israel.
21 E constitui ali lugar para a arca em que está o concerto do Senhor, o qual fez com nossos pais, quando os tirou da terra do Egito.
And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of YHWH, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
22 E pôs-se Salomão diante do altar do Senhor, em frente de toda a congregação de Israel: e estendeu as suas mãos para os céus,
And Solomon stood before the altar of YHWH in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
23 E disse: Ó Senhor Deus de Israel, não há Deus como tu, em cima nos céus nem em baixo na terra: que guardas o concerto e a beneficência a teus servos que andam com todo o seu coração diante de ti.
And he said, YHWH Elohim of Israel, there is no Elohim like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
24 Que guardaste a teu servo David, meu pai, o que lhe disseras: porque com a tua boca o disseste, e com a tua mão o cumpriste, como neste dia se vê.
Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
25 Agora pois, ó Senhor Deus de Israel, guarda a teu servo David, meu pai, o que lhe falaste, dizendo: Não te faltará sucessor diante de mim, que se assente no trono de Israel: somente que teus filhos guardem o seu caminho, para andarem diante de mim como tu andaste diante de mim
Therefore now, YHWH Elohim of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
26 Agora também, ó Deus de Israel, cumpra-se a tua palavra que disseste a teu servo David, meu pai.
And now, O Elohim of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
27 Mas, na verdade, habitaria Deus na terra? eis que os céus, e até o céu dos céus, te não compreenderiam, quanto menos esta casa que eu tenho edificado.
But will Elohim indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
28 Volve-te pois para a oração de teu servo, e para a sua súplica, ó Senhor meu Deus, para ouvires o clamor e a oração que o teu servo hoje faz diante de ti.
Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O YHWH my Elohim, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
29 Para que os teus olhos noite e dia estejam abertos sobre esta casa, sobre este lugar, do qual disseste: O meu nome estará ali; para ouvires a oração que o teu servo fizer neste lugar.
That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
30 Ouve pois a súplica do teu servo, e do teu povo Israel, que orarem neste lugar; também ouve tu no lugar da tua habitação nos céus; ouve também, e perdôa.
And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
31 Quando alguém pecar contra o seu próximo, e puserem sobre ele juramento de maldição, para o ajuramentarem a si mesmo, e vier juramento de maldição diante do teu altar nesta casa,
If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:
32 Ouve tu então nos céus, e obra, e julga a teus servos, condenando ao injusto, fazendo recair o seu proceder sobre a sua cabeça, e justificando ao justo, rendendo-lhe segundo a sua justiça.
Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
33 Quando o teu povo Israel for ferido diante do inimigo, por ter pecado contra ti, e se converterem a ti, e confessarem o teu nome, e orarem e suplicarem a ti nesta casa,
When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
34 Ouve tu então nos céus, e perdôa o pecado do teu povo Israel, e torna-o a levar à terra que tens dado a seus pais.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
35 Quando os céus se cerrarem, e não houver chuva, por terem pecado contra ti, e orarem neste lugar, e confessarem o teu nome, e se converterem dos seus pecados, havendo-os tu afligido.
When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
36 Ouve tu então nos céus, e perdôa o pecado de teus servos e do teu povo Israel, ensinando-lhe o bom caminho em que andem, e dá chuva na tua terra que deste ao teu povo em herança.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
37 Quando houver fome na terra, quando houver peste, quando houver queima de searas, ferrugem, gafanhotos e pulgão, quando o seu inimigo o cercar na terra das suas portas, ou houver alguma praga ou doença.
If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
38 Toda a oração, toda a súplica, que qualquer homem de todo o teu povo Israel fizer, conhecendo cada um a chaga do seu coração, e estendendo as suas mãos para esta casa
What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
39 Ouve tu então nos céus, assento da tua habitação, e perdôa, e obra, e dá a cada um conforme a todos os seus caminhos, e segundo vires o seu coração, porque só tu conheces o coração de todos os filhos dos homens
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men; )
40 Para que te temam todos os dias que viverem na terra que deste a nossos pais.
That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
41 E também ouve ao estrangeiro, que não for do teu povo Israel, porém vier de terras remotas, por amor do teu nome
Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
42 (Porque ouvirão do teu grande nome, e da tua forte mão, e do teu braço estendido), e vier orar para esta casa,
(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm; ) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
43 Ouve tu nos céus, assento da tua habitação, e faze conforme a tudo o que o estrangeiro a ti clamar, a fim de que todos os povos da terra conheçam o teu nome, para te temerem como o teu povo Israel, e para saberem que o teu nome é invocado sobre esta casa que tenho edificado.
Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
44 Quando o teu povo sair à guerra contra o seu inimigo, pelo caminho por que os enviares, e orarem ao Senhor, para a banda desta cidade, que tu elegeste, e desta casa, que edifiquei ao teu nome,
If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto YHWH toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
45 Ouve então nos céus a sua oração e a sua súplica, e faze-lhes justiça.
Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
46 Quando pecarem contra ti (pois não há homem que não peque), e tu te indignares contra eles, e os entregares às mãos do inimigo, para que os que os cativarem os levem em cativeiro à terra do inimigo, quer longe ou perto esteja,
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not, ) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
47 E na terra aonde forem levados em cativeiro tornarem em si, e se converterem, e na terra do seu cativeiro te suplicarem, dizendo: pecamos, e perversamente obramos, e cometemos iniquidade;
Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
48 E se converterem a ti com todo o seu coração e com toda a sua alma, na terra de seus inimigos que os levaram em cativeiro, e orarem a ti para a banda da sua terra que deste a seus pais, para esta cidade que elegeste, e para esta casa que edifiquei ao teu nome;
And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
49 Ouve então nos céus, assento da tua habitação, a sua oração e a sua súplica, e faze-lhes justiça;
Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
50 E perdôa ao teu povo que houver pecado contra ti, e todas as suas prevaricações com que houverem prevaricado contra ti; e dá-lhes misericórdia perante aqueles que os tem cativos, para que deles tenham compaixão.
And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
51 Porque são o teu povo e a tua herança que tiraste da terra do Egito, do meio do forno de ferro.
For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
52 Para que teus olhos estejam abertos à súplica do teu servo e à súplica do teu povo Israel, a fim de os ouvirdes em tudo quanto clamarem a ti.
That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
53 Pois tu para tua herança os elegeste de todos os povos da terra, como tens dito pelo ministério de Moisés, teu servo, quando tiraste a nossos pais do Egito, Senhor Jehovah.
For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Sovereign YHWH.
54 Sucedeu pois que, acabando Salomão de fazer ao Senhor esta oração e esta súplica, estando de joelhos e com as mãos estendidas para os céus, se levantou de diante do altar do Senhor.
And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto YHWH, he arose from before the altar of YHWH, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
55 E pôs-se em pé, e abençoou a toda a congregação de Israel em alta voz, dizendo:
And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
56 Bendito seja o Senhor, que deu repouso ao seu povo Israel, segundo tudo o que disse: nem uma só palavra caiu de todas as suas boas palavras que falou pelo ministério de Moisés, seu servo.
Blessed be YHWH, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
57 O Senhor nosso Deus seja conosco, como foi com nossos pais; não nos desampare, e não nos deixe.
YHWH our Elohim be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
58 Inclinando a si o nosso coração, para andar em todos os seus caminhos, e para guardar os seus mandamentos, e os seus estatutos, e os seus juízos que ordenou a nossos pais.
That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
59 E que estas minhas palavras, com que supliquei perante o Senhor, estejam perto, diante do Senhor nosso Deus, de dia e de noite, para que execute o juízo do seu servo e o juízo do seu povo Israel, a cada qual no seu dia,
And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before YHWH, be nigh unto YHWH our Elohim day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
60 Para que todos os povos da terra saibam que o Senhor é Deus, e que não há outro.
That all the people of the earth may know that YHWH is Elohim, and that there is none else.
61 E seja o vosso coração inteiro para com o Senhor nosso Deus, para andardes nos seus estatutos, e guardardes os seus mandamentos como hoje.
Let your heart therefore be perfect with YHWH our Elohim, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
62 E o rei e todo o Israel com ele sacrificaram sacrifícios perante a face do Senhor.
And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before YHWH.
63 E ofereceu Salomão em sacrifício pacífico o que sacrificou ao Senhor, vinte e duas mil vacas e cento e vinte mil ovelhas: assim o rei e todos os filhos de Israel consagraram a casa do Senhor.
And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto YHWH, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of YHWH.
64 No mesmo dia santificou o rei o meio do átrio que estava diante da casa do Senhor; porquanto ali preparara os holocaustos e as ofertas com a gordura dos sacrifícios pacíficos: porque o altar de cobre que estava diante da face do Senhor era muito pequeno para nele caberem os holocaustos, e as ofertas, e a gordura dos sacrifícios pacíficos.
The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of YHWH: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before YHWH was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
65 No mesmo tempo celebrou Salomão a festa, e todo o Israel com ele, uma grande congregação, desde a entrada de Hamath até ao rio do Egito, perante a face do Senhor nosso Deus; por sete dias, e mais sete dias: quatorze dias.
And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before YHWH our Elohim, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
66 E no oitavo dia despediu o povo, e eles abençoaram o rei: então se foram às suas tendas, alegres e gozosos de coração, por causa de todo o bem que o Senhor fizera a David seu servo, e a Israel seu povo
On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that YHWH had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
