1 Reis 6
1 E sucedeu que no ano de quatrocentos e oitenta, depois de sairem os filhos de Israel do Egito, no ano quarto do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de ziv (este é o mês segundo), começou a edificar a casa do Senhor.
It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of YHWH.
2 E a casa que o rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de trinta côvados de altura.
The house which king Solomon built for YHWH, its length was one hundred three feet and four inches, and its breadth thirty-four feet and five inches, and its height fifty-one feet and eight inches.
3 E o pórtico diante do templo da casa era de vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez côvados de largura diante da casa.
The porch before the temple of the house, thirty-four feet and five inches was its length, according to the breadth of the house. Seventeen feet and three inches was its breadth before the house.
4 E fez à casa janelas de vista estreita.
For the house he made windows of fixed lattice work.
5 Edificou em redor da parede da casa câmaras, em redor das paredes da casa, tanto do templo como do oráculo: e assim lhe fez câmaras colaterais em redor.
Against the wall of the house he built stories all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side-rooms all around.
6 A câmara de baixo era de cinco côvados de largura, e a do meio de seis côvados de largura, e a terceira de sete côvados de largura; porque pela parte de fora da casa em redor fizera encostos, para não travarem das paredes da casa.
The lowest story was eight feet and seven inches broad, and the middle was ten feet and four inches broad, and the third was twelve feet and one inch broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.
7 E edificava-se a casa com pedras preparadas, como as traziam se edificava; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem nenhum outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa quando a edificavam.
The house, when it was in building, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8 A porta da câmara do meio estava à banda direita da casa, e por corações se subia à do meio, e da do meio à terceira.
And the door for the lowest side-rooms was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.
9 Assim pois edificou a casa, e a aperfeiçoou: e cobriu a casa com pranchões e taboados de cedro.
So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
10 Também edificou as câmaras a toda a casa de cinco côvados de altura, e as travou com a casa com madeira de cedro.
He built the stories against all the house, each eight feet and seven inches high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
11 Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
The word of YHWH came to Solomon, saying,
12 Quanto a esta casa que tu edificas, se andares nos meus estatutos, e fizeres os meus juízos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando neles, confirmarei para contigo a minha palavra, a qual falei a David, teu pai;
"Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
13 E habitarei no meio dos filhos de Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo de Israel.
I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel."
14 Assim edificou Salomão aquela casa, e a aperfeiçoou.
So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15 Também cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com tábuas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até ao teto tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro: e cobriu o soalho da casa com tábuas de faia.
He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.
16 Edificou mais vinte côvados de tábuas de cedro nos lados da casa, desde o soalho até às paredes: e por dentro lhas edificou para o oráculo, para o Santo dos santos,
He built thirty-four feet and five inches on the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the beams, and he built this within as an inner sanctuary, the most holy place.
17 Era pois a casa de quarenta côvados, a saber: o templo interior.
In front of the temple sanctuary was sixty-eight feet and eleven inches.
18 E o cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas: tudo era cedro, pedra nenhuma se via.
And the inside of the house was cedar, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
19 E por dentro da casa interior preparou o oráculo, para pôr ali a arca do concerto do Senhor.
He prepared an inner sanctuary in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of YHWH.
20 E o oráculo no interior era de vinte côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de vinte côvados de altura: e o cobriu de ouro puro: também cobriu de cedro o altar.
And before the sanctuary was thirty-four feet and five inches in length, and thirty-four feet and five inches in breadth, and thirty-four feet and five inches in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold. And he made the altar of cedar.
21 E cobriu Salomão a casa por dentro de ouro puro: e com cadeias de ouro pôs um véu diante do oráculo, e o cobriu com ouro.
So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold, and he drew chains of gold across, in front of the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
22 Assim toda a casa cobriu de ouro, até acabar toda a casa: também todo o altar que estava diante do oráculo cobriu de ouro.
The whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary he overlaid with gold.
23 E no oráculo fez dois cherubins de madeira olearia, cada um da altura de dez côvados.
In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each seventeen feet and three inches high.
24 E uma aza dum cherubim era de cinco côvados, e a outra aza do cherubim de outros cinco côvados; dez côvados havia desde a extremidade de uma das suas asas até à extremidade da outra das suas asas.
Eight feet and seven inches was the one wing of the cherub, and eight feet and seven inches the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were seventeen feet and three inches.
25 Assim era também de dez côvados o outro cherubim: ambos os cherubins eram de uma mesma medida e dum mesmo talhe.
The other cherub was seventeen feet and three inches: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
26 A altura dum cherubim de dez côvados, e assim a do outro cherubim.
The height of the one cherub was seventeen feet and three inches, and so was it of the other cherub.
27 E pôs a estes cherubins no meio da casa de dentro; e os cherubins estendiam as asas, de maneira que a aza dum tocava na parede, e a aza do outro cherubim tocava na outra parede: e as suas asas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
He set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
28 E cobriu de ouro os cherubins.
He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29 E todas as paredes da casa em redor lavrou de esculturas e entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, por dentro e por fora.
He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside.
30 Também cobriu de ouro o soalho da casa, por dentro e por fora.
The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.
31 E à entrada do oráculo fez portas de madeira olearia: o umbral de cima com as hombreiras faziam a quinta parte da parede.
For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32 Também as duas portas eram de madeira olearia; e lavrou nelas entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, os quais cobriu de ouro: também estendeu ouro sobre os cherubins e sobre as palmas.
So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the cherubim, and on the palm trees.
33 E assim fez à porta do templo hombreiras de madeira olearia, da quarta parte da parede.
So also he made for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall;
34 E eram as duas portas de madeira de faia; e as duas folhas de uma porta eram dobradiças, assim como eram também dobradiças as duas folhas entalhadas das outras portas.
and two doors of fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35 E as lavrou de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, e as cobriu de ouro acomodado ao lavor.
He carved cherubim and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
36 Também edificou o pátio interior de três ordens de pedras lavradas e de uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams.
37 No ano quarto se pôs o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mês de ziv.
In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of YHWH laid, in the month Ziv.
38 E no ano undécimo, no mês de Bul, que é o mês oitavo, se acabou esta casa com todos os seus aparelhos, e com tudo o que lhe convinha: e a edificou em sete anos.
In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its fashion. So was he seven years in building it.
