The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 E os filhos de Gomer: Asquenaz, e Riphat, e Togarma.
— And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
7 E os filhos de Javan: Elisa, e Tarsis, e Chittim, e Dodanim.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.
8 Os filhos de Cão: Cus, e Mitsraim, e Put e Canaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.
9 E os filhos de Cus eram Seba, e Havila, e Sabta, e Raema, e Sabtecha: e os filhos de Raema eram Seba e Dedan.
— And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
10 E Cus gerou a Nemrod, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.
And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
11 E Mitsraim gerou aos ludeos, e aos anameos, e aos lehabeos, e aos naphtuheos,
— And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
12 E aos pathruseos, e aos casluchros (dos quais procederam os philisteus), e aos caftoreus.
and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
13 E Canaan gerou a Sidon, seu primogênito, e a Het,
— And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
14 E aos jebuseus, e aos amorreus, e aos girgaseus,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 E aos heveus, e aos arkeos, e aos sineos,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

17 E foram os filhos de Sem: Elam, e Assur, e Arphaxad, e Lud, e Aram, e Uz, e Hul, e Gether, e Mesech.

18 E Arphaxad gerou a Selah: e Selah gerou a Eber.
— And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
19 E a Eber nasceram dois filhos: o nome dum foi Peleg, porquanto nos seus dias se repartiu a terra, e o nome de seu irmão era Joktan.
And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 E Joktan gerou a Almodad, e a Seleph, e a Hasarmaveth, e a Jarah,
And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 E a Hadoram, e a Husal, e a Dikla,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 E a Ebad, e a Abimael, e a Seba,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 E a Ophir, e a Havila, e a Jobab: todos estes foram filhos de Joktan.
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.
24 Sem, Arphaxad, Selah,
Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,

26 Serug, Nahor, Thare,

27 Abrão, que é Abraão.

28 Os filhos de Abraão foram Isaac e Ishmael.
The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

31 Jetur, e Naphis e Kedma: estes foram os filhos de Ishmael.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.
32 Quanto aos filhos de Ketura, concubina de Abraão, esta pariu a Zimran, e a Joksan, e a Medan, e a Midian, e a Jisbak, e a Suah: e os filhos de Joksan foram Seba e Dedan.
— And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
33 E os filhos de Midian: Epha, e Epher, e Hanoch, e Abidah, e Eldah: todos estes foram filhos de Ketura.
And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
34 Abraão pois gerou a Isaac: e foram os filhos de Isaac Esaú e Israel.
And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
35 Os filhos de Esaú: Eliphaz, Reuel, e Jehus, e Jalam, e Corah.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
36 Os filhos de Eliphaz: Teman, e Omar, e Zephi, e Gaetam, e Quenaz, e Timna, e Amalek.
— The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Os filhos de Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Samma, e Missa.

And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 E os filhos de Lothan: Hori e Homam; e a irmã de Lothan foi Timna.
— And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
40 Os filhos de Sobal eram Alian, e Manahath, e Ebel, Sephi e Onam: e os filhos de Zibeon eram Aya e Ana.
— The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
41 Os filhos de Ana foram Dison: e os filhos de Dison foram Hamran, e Esban, e Ithran, e Cheran.
— The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
42 Os filhos de Eser eram Bilhan, e Zaavan, e Jaakan: os filhos de Disan eram Uz e Aran.
— The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
43 E estes são os reis que reinaram na terra de Edom, antes que reinasse rei sobre os filhos de Israel: Bela, filho de Beor; e era o nome da sua cidade Dinhaba.
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 E morreu Bela, e reinou em seu lugar Jobab, filho de Zerah, de Bosra.
And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 E morreu Jobab, e reinou em seu lugar Husam, da terra dos temanitas.
And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 E morreu Husam, e reinou em seu lugar Hadad, filho de Bedad: este feriu os midianitas no campo de Moab; e era o nome da sua cidade Avith.
And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
47 E morreu Hadad, e reinou em seu lugar Samla, de Masreka.
And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 E morreu Samla, e reinou em seu lugar Saul, de Rehoboth, junto ao rio.
And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
49 E morreu Saul, e reinou em seu lugar Baal-hanan, filho de Acbor.
And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 E, morrendo Baal-hanan, Hadad reinou em seu lugar; e era o nome da sua cidade pai: e o nome de sua mulher era Mehetabeel, filha de Matred, a filha de Mezahab.
And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
51 E, morrendo Hadad, foram príncipes em Edom o príncipe Timna, o príncipe Alya, o príncipe Jetheth,
And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
52 O príncipe Aholibama, o príncipe Ela, o príncipe Pinon,

53 O príncipe Quenaz, o príncipe Teman, o príncipe Mibzar,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
54 O príncipe Magdiel, o príncipe Iram: estes foram os príncipes de Edom.
