Zacarias 4

1 E tornou o anjo que fallava comigo, e me despertou, como a um homem que se desperta do seu somno,

And the Angel that talked with mee, came againe and waked mee, as a man that is raysed out of his sleepe,

2 E me disse: Que vês? E eu disse: Olho, e eis que vejo um castiçal todo de oiro, e um vaso de azeite sobre a sua cabeça, e as suas sete lampadas n'ella; e cada lampada que estava na sua cabeça tinha sete canudos.

And saide vnto me, What seest thou? And I said, I haue looked, and beholde, a candlesticke all of gold with a bowle vpon the toppe of it, and his seuen lampes therein, and seuen pipes to the lampes, which were vpon the toppe thereof.

3 E, por cima d'elle, duas oliveiras, uma á direita do vaso de azeite, e outra á sua esquerda.

And two oliue trees ouer it, one vpon the right side of the bowle, and the other vpon the left side thereof.

4 E respondi, e disse ao anjo que fallava comigo, dizendo: Senhor meu, que é isto?

So I answered, and spake to the Angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my Lord?

5 Então respondeu o anjo que fallava comigo, e me disse: Não sabes tu o que isto é? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu

Then the Angel that talked with mee, answered and said vnto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord.

6 E respondeu, e me fallou, dizendo: Esta é a palavra do Senhor a Zorobabel, dizendo: Não por força nem por violencia, mas sim pelo meu Espirito, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos.

Then he answered and spake vnto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord vnto Zerubbabel, saying, Neither by an armie nor strength, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hostes.

7 Quem és tu, ó monte grande? diante de Zorobabel serás feito uma campina; porque elle produzirá a primeira pedra com algazarras: Graça, graça a ella.

Who art thou, O great mountaine, before Zerubbabel? thou shalt be a plaine, and he shall bring foorth the head stone thereof, with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace vnto it.

8 E a palavra do Senhor veiu mais a mim, dizendo:

Moreouer, the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

9 As mãos de Zorobabel teem fundado esta casa, tambem as suas mãos a acabarão, para que saibaes que o Senhor dos Exercitos me enviou a vós.

The handes of Zerubbabel haue layde the foundation of this house: his handes shall also finish it, and thou shalt knowe that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you.

10 Porque, quem despreza o dia das coisas pequenas? pois aquelles sete se alegrarão, vendo o prumo na mão de Zorobabel: esses são os olhos do Senhor, que discorrem por toda a terra.

For who hath despised the day of the small thinges? but they shall reioyce, and shall see the stone of tinne in the hand of Zerubbabel: these seuen are the eyes of the Lord, which go thorow the whole world.

11 Respondi mais, e disse-lhe: Que são as duas oliveiras á direita do castiçal e á sua esquerda?

Then answered I, and said vnto him, What are these two oliue trees vpon the right and vpon the left side thereof?

12 E, respondendo-lhe outra vez, disse: Que são aquelles dois raminhos das oliveiras, que estão junto aos dois tubos d'oiro, e que vertem de si oiro?

And I spake moreouer, and said vnto him, What bee these two oliue branches, which thorowe the two golden pipes emptie themselues into the golde?

13 E elle me fallou, dizendo: Não sabes tu o que isto é? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu.

And hee answered me, and saide, Knowest thou not what these bee? And I sayde, No, my Lord.

14 Então elle disse: Estes são dois ramos de oleo, que estão diante do Senhor de toda a terra.

Then said he, These are the two oliue branches, that stand with the ruler of the whole earth.
