Cantares de Salomâo 8
1 Ah! quem me dera que me fôras como irmão, e mamáras os peitos de minha mãe! que te achara na rua, e te beijára, e nem me desprezariam!
O that thou [wert] as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! [when] I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.
2 Te levaria e introduziria na casa de minha mãe, e tu me ensinarias; e te daria a beber vinho aromatico e do mosto das minhas romãs.
I would lead thee, [and] bring thee into my mother’s house, [who] would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
3 A sua mão esquerda esteja debaixo da minha cabeça, e a sua direita me abrace.
His left hand [should be] under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 Conjuro-vos, ó filhas de Jerusalem, que não acordeis nem desperteis o meu amor, até que queira.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, until he please.
5 Quem é esta que sobe do deserto, e vem encostada tão aprazivelmente ao seu amado? Debaixo d'uma macieira te despertei, ali te produziu tua mãe com dores; ali te produziu com dores aquella que te pariu.
Who [is] this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth [that] bare thee.
6 Põe-me como sello sobre o teu coração, como sello sobre o teu braço, porque o amor é forte como a morte, e duro como a sepultura o ciume: as suas brazas são brazas de fogo, labaredas do Senhor. (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love [is] strong as death; jealousy [is] cruel as the grave: the coals thereof [are] coals of fire, [which hath a] most vehement flame. (Sheol h7585)
7 As muitas aguas não poderiam apagar este amor, nem os rios afogal-o: ainda que desse alguem toda a fazenda de sua casa por este amor, certamente a desprezariam.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if [a] man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
8 Temos uma irmã pequena, que ainda não tem peitos: que faremos a esta nossa irmã, no dia em que d'ella se fallar?
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9 Se ella fôr um muro, edificaremos sobre ella um palacio de prata; e, se ella fôr uma porta, a cercaremos com taboas de cedro.
If she [be] a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she [be] a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
10 Eu sou um muro, e os meus peitos são como umas torres: então eu era aos seus olhos como aquella que acha paz.
I [am] a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.
11 Teve Salomão uma vinha em Baal-hamon; entregou esta vinha a uns guardas; e cada um lhe trazia pelo seu fructo mil peças de prata.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand [pieces] of silver.
12 A minha vinha que tenho está diante de mim: as mil peças de prata são para ti, ó Salomão, e duzentas para os guardas do seu fructo.
My vineyard, which [is] mine, [is] before me: thou, O Solomon, [must have] a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
13 Ó tu, a que habitas nos jardins, para a tua voz os companheiros attentam; faze-m'a pois tambem ouvir.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear [it].
14 Vem depressa, amado meu, e faze-te similhante ao corço ou ao filho dos veados sobre os montes dos aromas.
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
