Romanos 5
1 Sendo pois justificados pela fé, temos paz com Deus, por nosso Senhor Jesus Christo;
Since we stand justified as the result of faith, let us continue to enjoy the peace we have with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Pelo qual tambem temos entrada pela fé a esta graça, na qual estamos firmes, e nos gloriamos na esperança da gloria de Deus.
Through him also we have had our access into this grace in which we have taken our stand, and are exulting in hope of the glory of God.
3 E não sómente isto, mas tambem nos gloriamos nas tribulações; sabendo que a tribulação produz a paciencia,
And not only so, but we are actually exulting also even in our troubles; for we know that trouble works fortitude,
4 E a paciencia a experiencia, e a experiencia a esperança.
and fortitude character, and character, hope -
5 E a esperança não confunde, porquanto o amor de Deus está derramado em nossos corações pelo Espirito Sancto que nos foi dado
a hope which never disappoints us. For through the Holy Spirit who has given to us, the "brimming river of the love of God" has overflowed in our hearts.
6 Porque Christo, estando nós ainda fracos, morreu a seu tempo pelos impios.
For while we were still without strength, Christ died in due time for the ungodly.
7 Porque apenas alguem morrerá por um justo; pois poderá ser que pelo bom alguem ouse tambem morrer.
Why, a man will hardly give his life for another, even for a righteous man, though perchance for a good man one might even take it upon himself to die.
8 Mas Deus recommenda o seu amor para comnosco, em que Christo morreu por nós, sendo nós ainda peccadores.
But God gives proof of his love to us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Logo muito mais agora, sendo justificados pelo seu sangue, seremos por elle salvos da ira.
By how much more, then, being now justified in his blood, shall we be saved through him from the wrath of God.
10 Porque se nós, sendo inimigos, fomos reconciliados com Deus pela morte de seu Filho, muito mais, estando já reconciliados, seremos salvos pela sua vida.
For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved in his life.
11 E não sómente isto, mas tambem nos gloriamos em Deus por nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, pelo qual agora alcançamos a reconciliação.
And not only that, but we exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now obtained our reconciliation.
12 Pelo que, como por um homem entrou o peccado no mundo, e pelo peccado a morte, assim tambem a morte passou a todos os homens por isso que todos peccaram.
Thus, then, sin came into the world through one man, and through sin came death and so death spread to all men, because all had sinned.
13 Porque até á lei estava o peccado no mundo, porém o peccado não é imputado, não havendo lei.
For prior to the Law, sin actually existed in the world, but sin was not set down to man’s account when there was no law.
14 Mas a morte reinou desde Adão até Moysés, até sobre aquelles que não peccaram á similhança da transgressão de Adão, o qual é a figura d'aquelle que havia de vir.
Nevertheless, from Adam to Moses death reigned as king, even over those who had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression. Now Adam is a type of Him who was to come.
15 Mas não é assim o dom gratuito como a offensa. Porque, se pela offensa de um, morreram muitos, muito mais a graça de Deus, e o dom pela graça, que é d'um só homem, Jesus Christo, abundou sobre muitos.
But the free gift is not like the transgression; for if through the transgression of that one man the rest on men died, much more did the grace of God and the gift given in his grace in the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow unto the rest of men.
16 E não foi assim o dom como a offensa, por um só que peccou. Porque o juizo veiu de uma só offensa, na verdade, para condemnação, mas o dom gratuito veiu de muitas offensas para justificação.
And it is not with the free gift as it was through the one that sinned; for the judgment came from one transgression unto condemnation; but the free gift came from many transgressions unto acquittal.
17 Porque, se pela offensa de um só, a morte reinou por esse um, muito mais os que recebem a abundancia da graça, e do dom da justiça, reinarão em vida por um só, que é Jesus Christo.
For if through the transgression of the one, death reigned as king through the one, much more shall those who receive the overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through One, through Jesus Christ.
18 Pois assim como por uma só offensa veiu o juizo sobre todos os homens para condemnação, assim tambem por um só acto de justiça veiu a graça sobre todos os homens para justificação de vida
It follows then, as through the transgression of one man came condemnation unto all men, even so through the act of righteousness of One came acquittal and life to all men.
19 Porque, como pela desobediencia de um só homem, muitos foram feitos peccadores, assim pela obediencia de um muitos serão feitos justos.
For just as through the disobedience of one man the rest were made sinners; even so by the obedience of One shall all the rest be made righteous.
20 Entrou, porém, a lei para que a offensa abundasse; mas, onde o peccado abundou, superabundou a graça.
Now law was brought in so that transgression might abound; but where sin abounded, grace super-abounded;
21 Para que, assim como o peccado reinou para a morte, tambem a graça reinasse pela justiça para a vida eterna, por Jesus Christo nosso Senhor. (aiōnios g166)
in order that as sin has ruled as king in death, so also grace might rule as king in righteousness which issues in eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord, - ours! (aiōnios g166)
