Romanos 14
1 Ora, quanto ao que está enfermo na fé, recebei-o, não em contendas de disputas.
To him who is feeble in the faith, reach forth the hand. And be not divided in your thoughts.
2 Porque um crê que de tudo se pode comer, e outro, que é enfermo, come legumes.
For one man believeth, that he may eat every thing: and he that is feeble, eateth herbs.
3 O que come não despreze ao que não come; e o que não come não julgue ao que come; porque Deus o recebeu por seu
And he that eateth, should not despise him that eateth not; and he that eateth not, should not judge him that eateth, for God hath received him.
4 Quem és tu, que julgas ao servo alheio? Para seu proprio Senhor está em pé ou cae; porém estará firme; porque poderoso é Deus para o firmar.
Who art thou, that thou judgest a servant not thine; and who, if he standeth, he standeth to his Lord; and if he falleth, he falleth to his Lord? But he will assuredly stand; for his Lord hath power to establish him.
5 Um faz differença entre dia e dia, mas outro julga eguaes todos os dias. Cada um esteja inteiramente seguro em seu proprio animo.
One man discriminateth between days; and another judgeth all days alike. But let every one be sure, in regard to his knowledge.
6 Aquelle que faz caso do dia, para o Senhor o faz; e o que não faz caso do dia, para o Senhor o não faz. O que come, para o Senhor come, porque dá graças a Deus; e o que não come, para o Senhor não come, e dá graças a Deus.
He that esteemeth a day, esteemeth it for his Lord: and he that esteemeth not a day, for his Lord, he doth not esteem it. And he that eateth, eateth to his Lord, and giveth thanks to God: and he that eateth not, to his Lord he eateth not, and giveth thanks to God.
7 Porque nenhum de nós vive para si, e nenhum morre para si.
For there is not one of us, who liveth for himself: and there is not one, who dieth for himself.
8 Porque, se vivemos, para o Senhor vivemos: se morremos, para o Senhor morremos. De sorte que, ou vivamos ou morramos, somos do Senhor.
Because, if we live, to our Lord it is we live; or if we die, to our Lord it is we die. Whether we live, therefore, or whether we die, we are our Lord's.
9 Porque para isto tambem morreu Christo, e resuscitou, e tornou a viver; para ser Senhor, tanto dos mortos, como dos vivos.
Moreover, for this cause Messiah died, and revived, and arose; that he might be Lord of the dead and of the living.
10 Mas tu, porque julgas a teu irmão? Ou tu, tambem, porque desprezas a teu irmão? Pois todos havemos de comparecer ante o tribunal de Christo.
But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or, why dost thou despise thy brother? For we must all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah,
11 Porque está escripto: Vivo eu, diz o Senhor: que todo o joelho se dobrará diante de mim, e toda a lingua confessará a Deus.
as it is written: As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow; and to me every tongue shall give praise.
12 De maneira que cada um de nós dará conta de si mesmo a Deus.
So then, every one of us must give account of himself to God.
13 Assim que não nos julguemos mais uns aos outros; mas antes julgae isto, não pôr tropeço ou escandalo ao irmão.
Henceforth, judge ye not one another; but rather, judge ye this, that thou erect not a stumbling-block for thy brother.
14 Eu sei, e estou certo no Senhor Jesus, que nenhuma coisa é de si mesmo immunda senão para aquelle que a tem por immunda, para esse é immunda.
I know indeed, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing which is unclean in itself; but to him who thinketh any thing to be unclean, to him only it is defiled.
15 Mas, se por causa da comida se contrista teu irmão, já não andas conforme o amor. Não destruas com a tua comida aquelle por quem Christo morreu.
But if thou grievest thy brother, because of food, thou walkest not in love. On account of food, destroy not him for whom Messiah died.
16 Não seja pois blasphemado o vosso bem;
And let not our good thing be matter of reproach.
17 Porque o reino de Deus não é comida nem bebida, mas justiça, e paz, e alegria no Espirito Sancto.
For the kingdom of God, is not food and drink; but is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 Porque quem n'isto serve a Christo agradavel é a Deus e acceito aos homens.
For he who is in these things a servant of Messiah, is pleasing to God, and approved before men.
19 Sigamos pois as coisas que servem para a paz e para a edificação de uns para com os outros.
Now let us strive after peace, and after the edification of one another.
20 Não destruas por causa da comida a obra de Deus. É verdade que todas as coisas são limpas, mas é mau para o homem que come com escandalo.
And let us not, on account of food, destroy the work of God. For every thing is, indeed, pure; yet it is evil, to the man who eateth with stumbling.
21 Bom é não comer carne, nem beber vinho, nem fazer outras coisas em que teu irmão tropece, ou se escandalize, ou se enfraqueça.
It is proper, that we neither eat flesh, nor drink wine, nor do any thing, whereby our brother is stumbled.
22 Tens tu fé? Tem-n'a em ti mesmo diante de Deus. Bemaventurado aquelle que não se condemna a si mesmo no que approva.
Thou art one in whom there is faith; keep it to thyself, before God. Blessed is he, who doth not condemn himself, in that thing which he alloweth.
23 Mas aquelle que duvida, se come está condemnado, porque não come por fé; e tudo que não é de fé é peccado.
For he who eateth and doubteth, is condemned; because he eateth not in faith. For every thing which is not of faith, is sin.
