Romanos 13
1 Toda a alma esteja sujeita ás potestades superiores; porque não ha potestade senão de Deus; e as potestades que ha são ordenadas por Deus.
LET every soul to the powers of dominion be subject. For there is no power that is not from Aloha, and the powers that be, of Aloha are they instituted.
2 Por isso quem resiste á potestade resiste á ordenação de Deus: e os que resistem trarão sobre si mesmos a condemnação.
Whoever then riseth up against the power, against the institution of Aloha he riseth; and they who arise against them will receive judgment.
3 Porque os magistrados não são para temor das boas obras, senão das más. Queres tu pois não temer a potestade? Faze o bem, e terás louvor d'ella.
For judges are not a terror to the workers of good, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do good, and thou shalt have praise from him.
4 Porque elle é ministro de Deus para teu bem. Mas, se fizeres o mal, teme, pois não traz debalde a espada; porque é ministro de Deus, vingador para castigar o que faz o mal.
For he is the servant of Aloha, but to thee for good: and if thou do evil, fear; for not in vain is he girded with the sword; for he is the servant of Aloha, and the dispenser of wrath to them who do evil.
5 Portanto é necessario estar sujeito, não sómente pelo castigo, mas tambem pela consciencia.
And because of this are we bound to be subject, not for the wrath only, but also because of conscience.
6 Porque por isso tambem pagaes tributos: porque são ministros de Deus, attendendo sempre a isto mesmo.
On this account also give we tribute to them; for they are the servants of Aloha over these things constituted.
7 Portanto dae a cada um o que deveis: a quem tributo, tributo: a quem imposto, imposto: a quem temor, temor: a quem honra, honra.
Render therefore to every man as is due to him: to whom tribute (is due, ) tribute; and to whom custom, custom; and to whom reverence, reverence; and to whom honour, honour.
8 A ninguem devaes coisa alguma, senão o amor com que vos ameis uns aos outros; porque quem ama aos outros cumpriu a lei.
And to no man owe any thing, but one another to love. For whoever loveth his neighbour fulfilleth the law:
9 Porque isto: Não adulterarás: Não matarás: Não furtarás: Não darás falso testemunho: Não cubiçarás: e se ha algum outro mandamento, n'esta palavra se resume: Amarás ao teu proximo como a ti mesmo.
for that also which it hath said, Thou shalt not kill; and, Thou shalt not commit adultery; and, Thou shalt not steal; and, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, in this word it is accomplished, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 O amor não faz mal ao proximo. De sorte que o cumprimento da lei é o amor.
Love unto his neighbour evil worketh not: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 E isto, conhecendo o tempo, que é já hora de despertarmos do somno; porque a nossa salvação está agora mais perto de nós do que quando crêmos.
AND also this know, that the time is, and the hour is, when we should be awake from our sleep; for now hath drawn nearer to us our salvation than when we believed.
12 A noite é passada, e o dia é chegado. Rejeitemos pois as obras das trevas, e vistamo-nos das armas da luz.
The night now passeth away, and the day hath drawn nigh; put we away then from us the works of darkness, and let us clothe with the arms of light.
13 Andemos honestamente, como de dia: não em glotonerias, nem em bebedeiras, nem em deshonestidades, nem em dissoluções, nem em contendas e inveja.
And as in the day, let us walk decorously, not with the song, nor with drunkenness, nor in the unclean chamber, nor in envy and in contention;
14 Mas vesti-vos do Senhor Jesus Christo, e não tenhaes cuidado da carne em suas concupiscencias.
but let (every one) clothe himself with our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and care not for your flesh unto the lusts (thereof).
