Romanos 12
1 Rogo-vos pois, irmãos, pela compaixão de Deus, que apresenteis os vossos corpos em sacrificio vivo, sancto e agradavel a Deus, que é o vosso culto racional.
I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God. This is your reasonable service.
2 E não vos conformeis com este mundo, mas transformae-vos pela renovação do vosso entendimento, para que experimenteis qual seja a boa, agradavel, e perfeita vontade de Deus. (aiōn g165)
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Do this to know what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
3 Porque pela graça, que me é dada, digo a cada um d'entre vós que não saiba mais do que convem saber, mas que saiba com temperança, conforme a medida da fé que Deus repartiu a cada um.
For I say, because of the grace that was given to me, that everyone who is among you should not think more highly of themselves than they ought to think. Instead, they should think in a wise way, just as God has given out to each one a certain amount of faith.
4 Porque assim como em um corpo temos muitos membros, e nem todos os membros teem a mesma operação,
For we have many members in one body, but not all the members have the same function.
5 Assim nós, que somos muitos, somos um só corpo em Christo, mas membros uns dos outros.
In the same way, we who are many are one body in Christ, and are individually members of each other.
6 De modo que, tendo differentes dons, segundo a graça que nos é dada, ou seja prophecia, seja ella segundo a medida da fé;
We have different gifts according to the grace that was given to us. If one's gift is prophecy, let it be done according to the proportion of his faith.
7 Ou seja ministerio, seja em ministrar; ou o que ensina em ensinar;
If one's gift is service, let him serve. If one has the gift of teaching, let him teach.
8 Ou o que exhorta, em exhortar; o que reparte, em simplicidade; o que preside, com cuidado; o que exercita misericordia, com alegria.
If one's gift is encouragement, let him encourage. If one's gift is giving, let him do it generously. If one's gift is leading, let it be done with care. If one's gift is in showing mercy, let it be done with cheerfulness.
9 O amor seja não fingido. Aborrecei o mal e apegae-vos ao bem.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; hold on to that which is good.
10 Amae-vos cordealmente uns aos outros com amor fraternal, preferindo-vos em honra uns aos outros.
Concerning love of the brothers, be affectionate to one another. Concerning honor, respect one another.
11 Não sejaes vagarosos no cuidado: sêde fervorosos no espirito, servindo ao Senhor;
Concerning diligence, do not be hesitant. Concerning the spirit, be eager. Concerning the Lord, serve him.
12 Alegrae-vos na esperança, sêde pacientes na tribulação, perseverae na oração;
Rejoice in certain hope, be patient in suffering, be faithful in prayer.
13 Communicae com os sanctos nas suas necessidades, segui a hospitalidade;
Share in the needs of the saints. Find many ways to show hospitality.
14 Abençoae aos que vos perseguem, abençoae, e não amaldiçoeis:
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15 Alegrae-vos com os que se alegram; e chorae com os que choram;
Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.
16 Sêde unanimes entre vós; não ambicioneis coisas altivas, mas accommodae-vos ás humildes; não sejaes sabios em vós mesmos;
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not think in proud ways, but accept lowly people. Do not be wise in your own thoughts.
17 A ninguem torneis mal por mal; procurae as coisas honestas, perante todos os homens.
Repay no one evil for evil. Do good things in the sight of all people.
18 Se fôr possivel, quanto estiver em vós, tende paz com todos os homens.
If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with all people.
19 Não vos vingueis a vós mesmos, amados, mas dae logar á ira, porque está escripto: Minha é a vingança; eu recompensarei, diz o Senhor.
Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give way to the wrath of God. For it is written, “'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay,' says the Lord.”
20 Portanto, se o teu inimigo tiver fome, dá-lhe de comer: se tiver sêde, dá-lhe de beber; porque, fazendo isto, amontoarás brazas de fogo sobre a sua cabeça.
“But if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. For if you do this, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Não te deixes vencer do mal, mas vence o mal com o bem.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
