Salmos 9
1 Eu te louvarei, Senhor, com todo o meu coração; contarei todas as tuas maravilhas.
Unto the end, for the hidden things of the Son. A psalm for David. I will give praise to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: I will relate all thy wonders.
2 Em ti me alegrarei e saltarei de prazer; cantarei louvores ao teu nome, ó Altissimo.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou most high.
3 Porquanto os meus inimigos voltaram para traz, cairam e pereceram diante da tua face.
When my enemy shall be turned back: they shall be weakened and perish before thy face.
4 Pois tu tens sustentado o meu direito e a minha causa; tu te assentaste no tribunal, julgando justamente.
For thou hast maintained my judgment and my cause: thou hast sat on the throne, who judgest justice.
5 Reprehendeste as nações, destruiste os impios; apagaste o seu nome para sempre e eternamente.
Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles, and the wicked one hath perished: thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.
6 Oh! inimigo! acabaram-se para sempre as assolações; --e tu arrazaste as cidades, e a sua memoria pereceu com ellas.
The swords of the enemy have failed unto the end: and their cities thou hast destroyed. Their memory hath perished with a noise.
7 Mas o Senhor está assentado perpetuamente; já preparou o seu tribunal para julgar.
But the Lord remaineth for ever. He hath prepared his throne in judgment:
8 Elle mesmo julgará o mundo com justiça; fará juizo aos povos com rectidão.
And he shall judge the world in equity, he shall judge the people in justice.
9 O Senhor será tambem um alto refugio para o opprimido; um alto refugio em tempos de angustia.
And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.
10 E em ti confiarão os que conhecem o teu nome; porque tu, Senhor, nunca desamparaste aos que te buscam.
And let them trust in thee who know thy name: for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O Lord.
11 Cantae louvores ao Senhor, que habita em Sião; annunciae entre os povos os seus feitos.
Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:
12 Pois quando busca derramamento de sangue, lembra-se d'elles; não se esquece do clamor dos miseraveis.
For requiring their blood he hath remembered the: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.
13 Tem misericordia de mim, Senhor, olha para a minha miseria, que soffro d'aquelles que me aborrecem; tu que me levantas das portas da morte,
Have mercy on me, O Lord: see my humiliation which I suffer from my enemies.
14 Para que eu conte todos os teus louvores nas portas da filha de Sião, e me alegre na tua salvação.
Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
15 As gentes enterraram-se na cova que fizeram; na rede que ocultaram ficou preso o seu pé.
I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they have prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.
16 O Senhor é conhecido pelo juizo que fez; enlaçado foi o impio nas obras de suas mãos (Higgaion, Selah)
The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)
18 Porque o necessitado não será esquecido para sempre, nem a expectação dos miseraveis perecerá perpetuamente.
For the poor man shall not be forgotten to the end: the patience of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Levanta-te, Senhor; não prevaleça o homem; sejam julgadas as gentes diante da tua face.
Arise, O Lord, let not man be strengthened: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.
20 Põe-os em medo, Senhor, para que saibam as nações que não são mais do que homens (Selah)
Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: that the Gentiles may know themselves to be but men.
