Salmos 89
1 As benignidades do Senhor cantarei perpetuamente: com a minha bocca manifestarei a tua fidelidade de geração em geração.
An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.
2 Pois disse eu: A tua benignidade será edificada para sempre: tu confirmarás a tua fidelidade até nos céus, dizendo:
For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.
3 Fiz um concerto com o meu escolhido: jurei ao meu servo David, dizendo:
I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 A tua semente estabelecerei para sempre, e edificarei o teu throno de geração em geração (Selah)
Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. (Selah)
5 E os céus louvarão as tuas maravilhas, ó Senhor, a tua fidelidade tambem na congregação dos sanctos.
And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.
6 Pois quem no céu se pode egualar ao Senhor? Quem entre os filhos dos poderosos pode ser similhante ao Senhor?
For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? [who] among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?
7 Deus é muito formidavel na assembléa dos sanctos, e para ser reverenciado por todos os que o cercam.
God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.
8 Ó Senhor, Deus dos Exercitos, quem é forte como tu, Senhor? pois a tua fidelidade está á roda de ti?
Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
9 Tu dominas o impeto do mar: quando as suas ondas se levantam, tu as fazes aquietar.
Thou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.
10 Tu quebrantaste a Rahab como se fôra ferida de morte; espalhaste os teus inimigos com o teu braço forte.
Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.
11 Teus são os céus, e tua é a terra; o mundo e a sua plenitude tu os fundaste.
Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, thou hast founded them.
12 O norte e o sul tu os creaste; Tabor e Hermon jubilam em teu nome.
The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.
13 Tu tens um braço poderoso; forte é a tua mão, e alta está a tua dextra.
Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.
14 Justiça e juizo são o assento do teu throno, misericordia e verdade irão adiante do teu rosto.
Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.
15 Bemaventurado o povo que conhece o som alegre: andará, ó Senhor, na luz da tua face.
Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.
16 Em teu nome se alegrará todo o dia, e na tua justiça se exaltará.
In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.
17 Pois tu és a gloria da sua força; e no teu favor será exaltado o nosso poder.
For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 Porque o Senhor é a nossa defeza, e o Sancto d'Israel o nosso Rei.
For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.
19 Então fallaste em visão ao teu sancto, e disseste: Puz o soccorro sobre um que é poderoso: exaltei a um eleito do povo.
Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 Achei a David, meu servo; com sancto oleo o ungi:
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 Com o qual a minha mão ficará firme, e o meu braço o fortalecerá.
With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
22 O inimigo não apertará com elle, nem o filho da perversidade o affligirá.
No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;
23 E eu derribarei os seus inimigos perante a sua face, e ferirei aos que o aborrecem.
But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.
24 E a minha fidelidade e a minha benignidade estarão com elle; e em meu nome será exaltado o seu poder.
And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 Porei tambem a sua mão no mar, e a sua direita nos rios.
And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 Elle me chamará, dizendo: Tu és meu pae, meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação.
He shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation;
27 Tambem o farei meu primogenito, mais elevado do que os reis da terra.
And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 A minha benignidade lhe conservarei eu para sempre, e o meu concerto lhe será firme.
My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;
29 E conservarei para sempre a sua semente, e o seu throno como os dias do céu.
And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 Se os seus filhos deixarem a minha lei, e não andarem nos meus juizos,
If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;
31 Se profanarem os meus preceitos, e não guardarem os meus mandamentos,
If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:
32 Então visitarei a sua transgressão com a vara, e a sua iniquidade com açoites.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Porém não retirarei totalmente d'elle a minha benignidade, nem faltarei á minha fidelidade.
Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;
34 Não quebrarei o meu concerto, não alterarei o que saiu dos meus labios.
My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Uma vez jurei pela minha sanctidade que não mentirei a David.
Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:
36 A sua semente durará para sempre, e o seu throno, como o sol diante de mim,
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
37 Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua, e como uma testemunha fiel no céu (Selah)
It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. (Selah)
38 Porém tu rejeitaste e aborreceste; tu te indignaste contra o teu ungido.
But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:
39 Abominaste o concerto do teu servo: profanaste a sua corôa, lançando-a por terra.
Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:
40 Derribaste todos os seus vallados; arruinaste as suas fortificações.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
41 Todos os que passam pelo caminho o despojam; é um opprobrio para os seus visinhos.
All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.
42 Exaltaste a dextra dos seus adversarios; fizeste com que todos os seus inimigos se regozijassem.
Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:
43 Tambem embotaste os fios da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na peleja.
Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.
44 Fizeste cessar a sua gloria, e deitaste por terra o seu throno.
Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;
45 Abreviaste os dias da sua mocidade; cobriste-o de vergonha (Selah)
The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 Até quando, Senhor? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? arderá a tua ira como fogo?
How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?
47 Lembra-te de quão breves são os meus dias; pelo que debalde creaste todos os filhos dos homens.
Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?
48 Que homem ha, que viva, e não veja a morte? Livrará elle a sua alma do poder da sepultura? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Senhor, onde estão as tuas antigas benignidades, que juraste a David pela tua verdade?
Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?
50 Lembra-te, Senhor, do opprobrio dos teus servos; como eu trago no meu peito o opprobrio de todos os povos poderosos:
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants — that I bear in my bosom [that of] all the mighty peoples —
51 Com o qual, Senhor, os teus inimigos teem diffamado, com o qual teem diffamado as pisadas do teu ungido.
Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 Bemdito seja o Senhor para sempre. Amen, e Amen.
Blessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.
