Salmos 76
1 Conhecido é Deus em Judah: grande é o seu nome em Israel.
For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. In Judah is God known: His name is great in Israel.
2 E em Salem está o seu tabernaculo, e a sua morada em Sião.
In Salem also is his tabernacle, And his dwelling-place in Zion.
3 Ali quebrou as frechas do arco; o escudo, e a espada e a guerra (Selah)
There he brake the arrows of the bow; The shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Selah)
4 Tu és mais illustre, ó glorioso, do que os montes de preza.
Glorious art thou [and] excellent, From the mountains of prey.
5 Os que são ousados de coração são despojados; dormiram o seu somno, e nenhum dos homens de força achou as suas mãos
The stouthearted are made a spoil, They have slept their sleep; And none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 Á tua reprehensão, ó Deus de Jacob, carros e cavallos são lançados n'um somno profundo.
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 Tu, tu és terrivel; e quem subsistirá á tua vista, uma vez que te irares?
Thou, even thou, art to be feared; And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8 Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juizo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,
Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; The earth feared, and was still,
9 Quando Deus se levantou para fazer juizo, para livrar a todos os mansos da terra (Selah)
When God arose to judgment, To save all the meek of the earth. (Selah)
10 Porque a colera do homem redundará em teu louvor; o restante da colera tu o restringirás.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.
11 Fazei votos, e pagae ao Senhor, vosso Deus: tragam presentes, os que estão em redor d'elle, áquelle que é tremendo.
Vow, and pay unto Jehovah your God: Let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12 Elle ceifará o espirito dos principes: é tremendo para com os reis da terra.
He will cut off the spirit of princes: He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
