Salmos 75

1 A ti, ó Deus, glorificamos, a ti damos louvor, pois o teu nome está perto, as tuas maravilhas o declaram.

To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' A Psalm of Asaph: a Song. Unto thee we give thanks, O God, we give thanks; and thy name is near: thy marvellous works declare it.

2 Quando eu occupar o logar determinado, julgarei rectamente.

When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity.

3 A terra e todos os seus moradores estão dissolvidos, mas eu fortaleci as suas columnas (Selah)

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. (Selah)

4 Disse eu aos loucos: Não enlouqueçaes; e aos impios: Não levanteis a fronte:

I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

5 Não levanteis a vossa fronte altiva, nem falleis com cerviz dura;

Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [stiff] neck.

6 Porque nem do oriente, nem do occidente, nem do deserto vem a exaltação.

For not from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south doth exaltation [come]:

7 Mas Deus é o Juiz; a um abate, e a outro exalta.

For God is the judge; he putteth down one and exalteth another.

8 Porque na mão do Senhor ha um calix, cujo vinho é roxo; está cheio de mistura; e dá a beber d'elle; mas as fezes d'elle todos os impios da terra as sorverão e beberão.

For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink.

9 E eu o declararei para sempre; cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacob.

But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.

10 E quebrarei todas as forças dos impios, mas as forças dos justos serão exaltadas.

And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
