Salmos 73
1 Verdadeiramente bom é Deus para com Israel, para com os limpos de coração.
A Melody of Asaph. Nothing but good, is God, Unto Israel, Unto the pure in heart.
2 Emquanto a mim, os meus pés quasi que se desviaram; pouco faltou para que escorregassem os meus passos.
But, as for me, —My feet had, almost stumbled, My steps had, well-nigh slipped;
3 Pois eu tinha inveja dos loucos, quando via a prosperidade dos impios.
For I was envious of the boasters, At the prosperity of the lawless, used I to look.
4 Porque não ha apertos na sua morte, mas firme está a sua força.
For they have no pangs in their death, And vigorous is their body;
5 Não se acham em trabalhos como outra gente, nem são afflictos como outros homens.
Of the toil of weak mortals, have they none, Nor, with the sons of earth, are they hard smitten.
6 Pelo que a soberba os cerca como um colar; vestem-se de violencia como de adorno.
For this cause, doth arrogance deck them as a neck-chain, And a garment of wrong is their attire;
7 Os olhos d'elles estão inchados de gordura: elles teem mais do que o coração podia desejar.
Their iniquity, hath proceeded from fatness, They have surpassed the imaginations of the heart;
8 São corrompidos e tratam maliciosamente de oppressão; fallam arrogantemente.
They mock, and wickedly command oppression, From on high, they command;
9 Põem as suas boccas contra os céus, e as suas linguas andam pela terra.
They have set, in the heavens, their mouth, And, their tongue, marcheth through the earth.
10 Pelo que o seu povo volta aqui, e aguas de copo cheio se lhes espremem.
Therefore must his people return thither, And, the waters of abundance, are drained by them;
11 E dizem: Como o sabe Deus? ou ha conhecimento no Altissimo?
And they say—How doth GOD know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 Eis que estes são impios, e prosperam no mundo; augmentam em riquezas.
Lo! these, are the lawless, Who are secure for an age, They have attained unto wealth.
13 Na verdade que em vão tenho purificado o meu coração; e lavei as minhas mãos na innocencia.
Altogether in vain, Have I cleansed my heart, And bathed in pureness, my hands;
14 Pois todo o dia tenho sido afflicto, e castigado cada manhã.
And yet been smitten all the day, And been rebuked morning by morning!
15 Se eu dissesse: Fallarei assim; eis que offenderia a geração de teus filhos.
If I had thought, I will relate it thus, Lo! the circle of thy sons, had I betrayed.
16 Quando pensava em entender isto foi para mim muito doloroso;
When I reasoned, that I might understand this, A vexation, it was in mine eyes:
17 Até que entrei no sanctuario de Deus: então entendi eu o fim d'elles.
Until I could enter the holy places of God, —Could give heed to their hereafter: —
18 Certamente tu os pozeste em logares escorregadios: tu os lanças em destruição.
Surely, in slippery places, dost thou set them, —Thou hast suffered them to fall into places of danger.
19 Como caem na desolação, quasi n'um momento! ficam totalmente consumidos de terrores.
How have they become desolate, as in a moment! They have ceased—come to an end, by reason of calamities.
20 Como um sonho, quando se acorda, assim, ó Senhor, quando acordares, desprezarás a apparencia d'elles.
As the dream of him that waketh, O my Lord! when rousing thyself up, their shadowy being, wilt thou despise.
21 Assim o meu coração se azedou, e sinto picadas nos meus rins.
But my heart had grown embittered, And, in my reins, had I received wounds;
22 Assim me embruteci, e nada sabia; fiquei como uma besta perante ti.
But, I, was brutish, and could not perceive, Like the beasts, had I become before thee.
23 Todavia estou de continuo comtigo; tu me sustentaste pela minha mão direita.
Nevertheless, I, am continually before thee, Thou hast taken hold of my right hand;
24 Guiar-me-has com o teu conselho, e depois me receberás em gloria.
By thy counsel, wilt thou guide me, And, afterwards, unto glory, wilt thou take me.
25 Quem tenho eu no céu senão a ti? e na terra não ha a quem eu deseje além de ti.
Whom have I in the heavens? And, compared with thee, there is nothing I desire on earth.
26 A minha carne e o meu coração desfallecem; mas Deus é a fortaleza do meu coração, e a minha porção para sempre
Failed have my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart—and my portion, is God unto times age-abiding.
27 Pois eis que os que se alongam de ti, perecerão; tu tens destruido todos aquelles que se desviam de ti.
For lo! they who are far from thee, shall perish, Thou hast put an end to every one who wandered unchastely from thee.
28 Mas para mim, bom é approximar-me de Deus; puz a minha confiança no Senhor Deus, para annunciar todas as tuas obras.
But, as for me, the drawing near of God, is my blessedness, —I have made, of My Lord Yahweh, my refuge, —That I may recount all thy works.
