Salmos 72
1 Ó Deus, dá ao rei dos teus juizos, e a tua justiça ao filho do rei.
“For Solomon.” To the king, O God! give thy justice, And to the son of a king thy righteousness!
2 Elle julgará ao teu povo com justiça, e aos teus pobres com juizo.
Yea! he shall judge thy people with equity, And thine oppressed ones with justice.
3 Os montes trarão paz ao povo e os outeiros com justiça.
For the mountains shall bring forth peace to the people, And the hills, through righteousness.
4 Julgará os afflictos do povo, salvará os filhos do necessitado, e quebrantará o oppressor.
He shall defend the oppressed of the people; He shall save the needy, And break in pieces the oppressor.
5 Temer-te-hão emquanto durar o sol e a lua, de geração em geração.
They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon shall endure, From generation to generation.
6 Elle descerá como a chuva sobre a herva ceifada, como os chuveiros que humedecem a terra.
He shall be like rain descending on the mown field, —Like showers which water the earth.
7 Nos seus dias florescerá o justo, e abundancia de paz emquanto durar a lua.
In his days shall the righteous flourish, And great shall be their prosperity, as long as the moon shall endure.
8 Dominará de mar a mar, e desde o rio até ás extremidades da terra.
He shall have dominion from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.
9 Aquelles que habitam no deserto se inclinarão ante elle, e os seus inimigos lamberão o pó.
They that dwell in the desert shall bow before him, And his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Os reis de Tarsis e das ilhas trarão presentes; os reis de Sheba e de Saba offerecerão dons.
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts;
11 E todos os reis se prostrarão perante elle; todas as nações o servirão.
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him.
12 Porque elle livrará ao necessitado quando clamar, como tambem ao afflicto e ao que não tem quem o ajude.
For he shall deliver the poor who crieth for aid, And the oppressed who hath no helper.
13 Compadecer-se-ha do pobre e do afflicto, e salvará as almas dos necessitados.
He shall spare the weak and needy, And save the lives of the poor.
14 Libertará as suas almas do engano e da violencia, e precioso será o seu sangue aos olhos d'elle.
He shall redeem them from deceit and violence, And their blood shall be precious in his sight.
15 E viverá, e se lhe dará do oiro de Sheba; e continuamente se fará por elle oração; e todos os dias o bemdirão.
He shall prosper, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba; Prayer also shall be made for him continually, And daily shall he be praised.
16 Haverá um punhado de trigo em terra sobre as cabeças dos montes; o seu fructo se abalará como o Libano, e os da cidade florescerão como a herva da terra.
There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; Its fruit shall shake like Lebanon, even on the tops of the mountains; And they of the cities shall flourish as the grass of the earth.
17 O seu nome permanecerá eternamente; o seu nome se irá propagando de paes a filhos emquanto o sol durar, e os homens serão abençoados n'elle; todas as nações lhe chamarão bemaventurado.
His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun. By him shall men bless themselves; All nations shall call him blessed.
18 Bemdito seja o Senhor Deus, o Deus d'Israel, que só elle faz maravilhas.
[[Praised be God, Jehovah, the God of Israel, Who alone doeth wonderful things!
19 E bemdito seja para sempre o seu nome glorioso; e encha-se toda a terra da sua gloria. Amen e Amen.
