Salmos 7
1 Senhor, meu Deus, em ti confio: salva-me de todos os que me perseguem, e livra-me;
O Jehovah my God, in thee do I take refuge. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
2 Para que elle não arrebate a minha alma, como leão, despedaçando-a, sem que haja quem a livre;
lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 Senhor, meu Deus, se eu fiz isto, se ha perversidade nas minhas mãos,
O Jehovah my God, if I have done this, if there be iniquity in my hands,
4 Se paguei com o mal áquelle que tinha paz comigo (antes livrei ao que me opprimia sem causa):
if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me, (yea, I have delivered him without cause who was my adversary),
5 Persiga o inimigo a minha alma e alcance-a, calque aos pés a minha vida sobre a terra, e reduza a pó a minha gloria. (Selah)
let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it. Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. (Selah)
6 Levanta-te Senhor, na tua ira; exalta-te por causa do furor dos meus oppressores; e desperta por mim para o juizo que ordenaste.
Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger. Lift up thyself against the rage of my adversaries, and awake for me the justice thou have commanded.
7 Assim te rodeará o ajuntamento de povos; por causa d'elles pois volta-te para as alturas.
And let the congregation of the peoples encompass thee about, and return thou on high over them.
8 O Senhor julgará aos povos; julga-me, Senhor, conforme a minha justiça e conforme a integridade que ha em mim.
Jehovah shall judge the peoples. Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.
9 Tenha já fim a malicia dos impios; mas estabeleça-se o justo; pois tu, ó justo Deus, provas os corações e os rins
O let the wickedness of the wicked man come to an end, but establish thou the righteous man. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.
10 O meu escudo é de Deus, que salva os rectos de coração.
My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
11 Deus é um juiz justo, um Deus que se ira todos os dias.
God is a righteous judge. Yea, a God who has indignation every day.
12 Se elle se não converter, amolará a sua espada; já tem armado o seu arco, e está apparelhado.
If a man does not repent, he will whet his sword. He has bent his bow, and made it ready.
13 E já para elle preparou armas mortaes; e porá em obra as suas settas inflammadas contra os perseguidores.
He has also prepared for him the instruments of death. He makes his arrows fiery.
14 Eis que elle está com dôres de perversidade; concebeu trabalhos, e parirá mentiras,
Behold the wicked man, he travails with iniquity. Yea, he has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15 Cavou um poço e o fez fundo, e caiu na cova que fez.
He has made a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 A sua obra cairá sobre a sua cabeça; e a sua violencia descerá sobre a sua mioleira.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own scalp.
17 Eu louvarei ao Senhor segundo a sua justiça, e cantarei louvores ao nome do Senhor altissimo.
I will give thanks to Jehovah according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.
