Salmos 57
1 Tem misericordia de mim, ó Deus, tem misericordia de mim, porque a minha alma confia em ti; e na sombra das tuas azas me abrigo, até que passem as calamidades.
To the Chief Musician. "Do not destroy." A precious Psalm, of David. When he fled from the face of Saul into the Cave. Show me favour, O God, Show me favour, For, in thee, hath my soul sought refuge, —And, in the shadow of thy wings, will I seek refuge, Until the storm of ruin pass by.
2 Clamarei ao Deus altissimo, ao Deus que por mim tudo executa.
I will cry unto God Most High, Unto GOD, who accomplisheth on my behalf:
3 Elle enviará desde os céus, e me salvará do desprezo d'aquelle que procurava devorar-me (Selah) Deus enviará a sua misericordia e a sua verdade.
He will send out of heaven, that he may save me, He who is panting for me, hath reproached. (Selah) God will send out his lovingkindness and his faithfulness.
4 A minha alma está entre leões, e eu estou entre aquelles que estão abrazados, filhos dos homens, cujos dentes são lanças e frechas, e a sua lingua espada afiada.
My soul, is in the midst of lions, I lie down amidst flames, As for the sons of men, Their teeth, are spear and arrows, And, their tongue, is a sharp sword.
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; seja a tua gloria sobre toda a terra.
Be exalted Above the Heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
6 Armaram uma rede aos meus passos; a minha alma está abatida; cavaram uma cova diante de mim, porém elles mesmos cairam no meio d'ella (Selah)
A net, did they fix for my steps, My soul was bowed down, —They digged before me a pit, They fell into the midst thereof! (Selah)
7 Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus, preparado está o meu coração; cantarei, e direi psalmos.
Fixed is my heart, O God, Fixed is my heart, I will sing, and touch the strings.
8 Desperta, gloria minha, desperta, alaude e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei ao romper da alva.
Awake, mine honour, Awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn;
9 Louvar-te-hei, Senhor, entre os povos; eu te cantarei entre as nações.
I will thank thee, among the peoples, O My Lord, I will praise thee in song, among the races of men.
10 Pois a tua misericordia é grande até aos céus, e a tua verdade até ás nuvens.
For, great, unto the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, And, unto the skies, thy faithfulness.
11 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; e seja a tua gloria sobre toda a terra.
Be exalted Above the heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
