Salmos 54

1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e faze-me justiça pelo teu poder.

“For the leader of the music. To be sung on stringed instruments A psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?” Save me, O God! by thy name, And by thy strength defend my cause!

2 Ó Deus, ouve a minha oração, inclina os teus ouvidos ás palavras da minha bocca.

O God! hear my prayer, Give ear to the words of my mouth!

3 Porque os estranhos se levantam contra mim, e tyrannos procuram a minha vida: não teem posto Deus perante os seus olhos (Selah)

For enemies have risen up against me, And oppressors seek my life; They have not set God before their eyes. (Pause)

4 Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador, o Senhor está com aquelles que susteem a minha alma.

Behold! God is my helper; The Lord is the support of my life.

5 Elle recompensará com o mal aquelles que me andam espiando: destroe-os na tua verdade.

He will repay evil to my enemies; For thy truth's sake, O God! cut them off!

6 Eu te offerecerei voluntariamente sacrificios, louvarei o teu nome ó Senhor, porque é bom.

With a willing heart will I sacrifice to thee; I will praise thy name, O LORD! for it is good;

7 Pois me tem livrado de toda a angustia; e os meus olhos viram o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos.

For thou hast delivered me from all trouble, So that my eye hath looked with joy upon my enemies!
