Salmos 52

1 Porque te glorias na malicia, ó homem poderoso? pois a bondade de Deus permanece continuamente.

To the Overseer. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of Doeg the Edomite, and he declareth to Saul, and saith to him, 'David came in unto the house of Ahimelech.' What, boasteth thou in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God [is] all the day.

2 A tua lingua intenta o mal, como uma navalha amolada, traçando enganos.

Mischiefs doth thy tongue devise, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.

3 Tu amas mais o mal do que o bem, e a mentira mais do que o fallar a rectidão (Selah)

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. (Selah)

4 Amas todas as palavras devoradoras, ó lingua fraudulenta.

Thou hast loved all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 Tambem Deus te destruirá para sempre; arrebatar-te-ha e arrancar-te-ha da tua habitação; e desarreigar-te-ha da terra dos viventes (Selah)

Also — God doth break thee down for ever, Taketh thee, and pulleth thee out of the tent, And He hath uprooted thee Out of the land of the living. (Selah)

6 E os justos o verão, e temerão: e se rirão d'elle:

And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.

7 Eis aqui o homem que não poz em Deus a sua fortaleza; antes confiou na abundancia das suas riquezas, e se fortaleceu na sua maldade.

'Lo, the man who maketh not God his strong place, And trusteth in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.'

8 Mas eu sou como a oliveira verde na casa de Deus; confio na misericordia de Deus para sempre, eternamente.

And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, To the age and for ever,

9 Para sempre te louvarei, porque tu o fizeste, e esperarei no teu nome, porque é bom diante de teus sanctos.

I thank Thee to the age, because Thou hast done [it], And I wait [on] Thy name for [it is] good before Thy saints!
