Salmos 51
1 Tem misericordia de mim, ó Deus, segundo a tua benignidade; apaga as minhas transgressões, segundo a multidão das tuas misericordias.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Lava-me completamente da minha iniquidade, e purifica-me do meu peccado.
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
3 Porque eu conheço as minhas transgressões, e o meu peccado está sempre diante de mim.
For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.
4 Contra ti, contra ti sómente pequei, e fiz o que é mau á tua vista, para que sejas justificado quando fallares, e puro quando julgares.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.
5 Eis que em iniquidade fui formado, e em peccado me concebeu minha mãe.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Eis que amas a verdade no intimo, e no occulto me fazes conhecer a sabedoria.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purifica-me com hyssope, e ficarei puro: lava-me, e ficarei mais branco do que a neve.
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Faze-me ouvir jubilo e alegria, para que gozem os ossos que tu quebraste.
Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Esconde a tua face dos meus peccados, e apaga todas as minhas iniquidades.
Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Cria em mim, ó Deus, um coração puro, e renova em mim um espirito recto.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.
11 Não me lances fóra da tua presença, e não retires de mim o teu Espirito Sancto.
Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.
12 Torna a dar-me a alegria da tua salvação, e sustem-me com o teu Espirito voluntario.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Então ensinarei aos transgressores os teus caminhos, e os peccadores a ti se converterão.
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Livra-me dos crimes de sangue, ó Deus, Deus da minha salvação, e a minha lingua louvará altamente a tua justiça.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; [And] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 Abre, Senhor, os meus labios, e a minha bocca entoará o teu louvor.
O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.
16 Pois não queres os sacrificios que eu daria; tu não te deleitas em holocaustos.
For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
17 Os sacrificios para Deus são o espirito quebrantado; a um coração quebrantado e contrito não desprezarás, ó Deus.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Faze o bem a Sião, segundo a tua boa vontade; edifica os muros de Jerusalem.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Então te agradarás dos sacrificios da justiça, dos holocaustos e das offertas queimadas; então se offerecerão novilhos sobre o teu altar.
Then wilt thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt-offering and whole burnt-offering: Then will they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
