Salmos 50
1 O Deus poderoso, o Senhor, fallou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu occaso.
The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.
2 Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.
3 Virá o nosso Deus, e não se calará; um fogo se irá consumindo diante d'elle, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor d'elle.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4 Chamará os céus lá do alto, e a terra, para julgar o seu povo.
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 Ajuntae-me os meus sanctos, aquelles que fizeram comigo um concerto com sacrificios.
Gather my saints together to me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 E os céus annunciarão a sua justiça; pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz (Selah)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. (Selah)
7 Ouve, povo meu, e eu fallarei; Ó Israel, e eu protestarei contia ti: Sou Deus, sou o teu Deus.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, even your God.
8 Não te reprehenderei pelos teus sacrificios, ou holocaustos, que estão continuamente perante mim.
I will not reprove you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
9 Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro nem bodes dos teus curraes.
I will take no bullock out of your house, nor he goats out of your folds.
10 Porque meu é todo o animal da selva, e o gado sobre milhares de montanhas.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 Se eu tivesse fome, não t'o diria, pois meu é o mundo e toda a sua plenitude.
If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
13 Comerei eu carne de toiros? ou beberei sangue de bodes?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Offerece a Deus sacrificio de louvor, e paga ao Altissimo os teus votos.
Offer to God thanksgiving; and pay your vows to the most High:
15 E invoca-me no dia da angustia: eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.
And call on me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
16 Mas ao impio diz Deus: Que fazes tu em recitar os meus estatutos, e em tomar o meu concerto na tua bocca?
But to the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth?
17 Visto que aborreces a correcção, e lanças as minhas palavras para detraz de ti
Seeing you hate instruction, and casts my words behind you.
18 Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com elle, e tens a tua parte com adulteros.
When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.
19 Soltas a tua bocca para o mal, e a tua lingua compõe o engano.
You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.
20 Assentas-te a fallar contra teu irmão; fallas mal contra o filho de tua mãe.
You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
21 Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era tal como tu; mas eu te arguirei, e as porei por ordem diante dos teus olhos.
These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes.
22 Ouvi pois isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre.
Now consider this, you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23 Aquelle que offerece o sacrificio de louvor me glorificará; e áquelle que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.
Whoever offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.
