Salmos 5
1 Dá ouvidos ás minhas palavras, ó Senhor, entende a minha meditação.
To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)
2 Attende á voz do meu clamor, Rei meu e Deus meu, pois a ti orarei.
Hearken to the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for to thee will I pray.
3 Pela manhã ouvirás a minha voz, ó Senhor; pela manhã me apresentarei a ti, e vigiarei.
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer to thee, and will look up.
4 Porque tu não és um Deus que tenha prazer na iniquidade, nem comtigo habitará o mal.
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 Os loucos não pararão á tua vista; aborreces a todos os que obram a maldade.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Destruirás aquelles que fallam a mentira; o Senhor aborrecerá o homem sanguinario e fraudulento.
Thou shalt destroy them that speak falsehood: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 Porém eu entrarei em tua casa pela grandeza de tua benignidade; e em teu temor me inclinarei para o teu sancto templo.
But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Senhor, guia-me na tua justiça, por causa dos meus inimigos: endireita diante de mim o teu caminho.
Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of my enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 Porque não ha rectidão na bocca d'elles: as suas entranhas são verdadeiras maldades, a sua garganta é um sepulchro aberto; lisongeam com a sua lingua.
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Declara-os culpados, ó Deus: caiam por seus proprios conselhos; lança-os fóra por causa da multidão de suas transgressões, pois se rebellaram contra ti.
Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 Porém alegrem-se todos os que confiam em ti; exultem eternamente, porquanto tu os defendes; e em ti se gloriem os que amam o teu nome.
But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 Pois tu, Senhor, abençoarás ao justo; coroal-o-has com a tua benevolencia, como de um escudo.
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou surround him as with a shield.
