Salmos 47

1 Applaudi com as mãos, todos os povos; cantae a Deus com voz de triumpho.

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” O clap your hands, all ye nations! Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!

2 Porque o Senhor Altissimo é tremendo, e Rei grande sobre toda a terra.

For terrible is Jehovah, the Most High, The great king over all the earth.

3 Elle nos subjugará os povos e as nações debaixo dos nossos pés.

He hath subdued nations under us, And kingdoms under our feet;

4 Escolherá para nós a nossa herança, a gloria de Jacob, a quem amou (Selah)

He hath chosen for us an inheritance, The glory of Jacob, whom he loved. (Pause)

5 Deus subiu com jubilo, o Senhor subiu ao som de trombeta.

God goeth up with a shout; Jehovah with the sound of the trumpet.

6 Cantae louvores a Deus, cantae louvores; cantae louvores ao nosso Rei, cantae louvores.

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our king, sing praises!

7 Pois Deus é o Rei de toda a terra, cantae louvores com intelligencia.

For God is king of all the earth; Sing to him hymns of praise!

8 Deus reina sobre as nações: Deus se assenta sobre o throno da sua sanctidade.

God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon his holy throne.

9 Os principes do povo se ajuntam, o povo do Deus de Abrahão; porque os escudos da terra são de Deus: elle está muito elevado!

The princes of the nations gather themselves together To the people of the God of Abraham; For the mighty of the earth belong to God; He is supremely exalted.
