Salmos 4
1 Ouve-me; quando eu clamo, ó Deus da minha justiça, na angustia me déste largueza; tem misericordia de mim e ouve a minha oração.
TO THE OVERSEER. WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. A PSALM OF DAVID. In my calling answer me, O God of my righteousness. In adversity You gave enlargement to me; Favor me, and hear my prayer.
2 Filhos dos homens, até quando convertereis a minha gloria em infamia? até quando amareis a vaidade e buscareis a mentira? (Selah)
Sons of men! Until when [is] my glory for shame? You love a vain thing, you seek a lie. (Selah)
3 Sabei pois que o Senhor separou para si aquelle que lhe é querido; o Senhor ouvirá quando eu clamar a elle.
And know that YHWH Has separated a saintly one to Himself. YHWH hears in my calling to Him.
4 Perturbae-vos e não pequeis: fallae com o vosso coração sobre a vossa cama, e calae-vos. (Selah)
“Tremble, and do not sin”; Say [thus] in your heart on your bed, And be silent. (Selah)
5 Offerecei sacrificios de justiça, e confiae no Senhor.
Sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in YHWH.
6 Muitos dizem: Quem nos mostrará o bem? Senhor, exalta sobre nós a luz do teu rosto.
Many are saying, “Who shows us good?” Lift on us the light of Your face, O YHWH,
7 Pozéste alegria no meu coração, mais do que no tempo em que se multiplicaram o seu trigo e o seu vinho.
You have given joy in my heart, From the time their grain and their wine Have been multiplied.
8 Em paz tambem me deitarei e dormirei, porque só tu, Senhor, me fazes habitar em segurança.
Together I lie down and sleep in peace, For You, O YHWH, alone, Cause me to dwell in confidence!
