Salmos 34
1 Louvarei ao Senhor em todo o tempo: o seu louvor estará continuamente na minha bocca.
A Psalme of Dauid, when he changed his behauiour before Abimelech, who droue him away, and he departed. I will alway giue thankes vnto the Lord: his praise shalbe in my mouth continually.
2 A minha alma se gloriará no Senhor: os mansos o ouvirão e se alegrarão.
My soule shall glory in the Lord: the humble shall heare it, and be glad.
3 Engrandecei ao Senhor comigo; e juntos exaltemos o seu nome.
Praise ye the Lord with me, and let vs magnifie his Name together.
4 Busquei ao Senhor, e elle me respondeu: livrou-me de todos os meus temores.
I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he deliuered me out of all my feare.
5 Olharam para elle, e foram illuminados; e os seus rostos não ficaram confundidos.
They shall looke vnto him, and runne to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,
6 Clamou este pobre, e o Senhor o ouviu, e o salvou de todas as suas angustias.
This poore man cryed, and the Lord heard him, and saued him out of all his troubles.
7 O anjo do Senhor acampa-se em redor dos que o temem, e os livra.
The Angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that feare him, and deliuereth them.
8 Provae, e vêde que o Senhor é bom; bemaventurado o homem que n'elle confia.
Taste ye and see, howe gratious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 Temei ao Senhor, vós, os seus sanctos, pois não teem falta alguma aquelles que o temem.
Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him.
10 Os filhos dos leões necessitam e soffrem fome, mas aquelles que temem ao Senhor não teem falta de coisa alguma.
The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.
11 Vinde, meninos, ouvi-me: eu vos ensinarei o temor do Senhor.
Come children, hearken vnto me: I will teache you the feare of the Lord.
12 Quem é o homem que deseja a vida, que quer largos dias para vêr o bem?
What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good?
13 Guarda a tua lingua do mal, e os teus labios de fallarem o engano.
Keepe thy tongue from euill, and thy lips, that they speake no guile.
14 Aparta-te do mal, e faze o bem: procura a paz, e segue-a.
Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it.
15 Os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os justos, e os seus ouvidos attentos ao seu clamor.
The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie.
16 A face do Senhor está contra os que fazem o mal, para desarreigar da terra a memoria d'elles.
But the face of the Lord is against them that doe euill, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
17 Os justos clamam, e o Senhor os ouve, e os livra de todas as suas angustias.
The righteous crie, and the Lord heareth them, and deliuereth them out of all their troubles.
18 Perto está o Senhor dos que teem o coração quebrantado, e salva os contritos de espirito.
The Lord is neere vnto them that are of a contrite heart, and will saue such as be afflicted in Spirite.
19 Muitas são as afflicções do justo, mas o Senhor o livra de todas.
Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord deliuereth him out of them all.
20 Elle lhe guarda todos os seus ossos; nem sequer um d'elles se quebra.
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 A malicia matará o impio, e os que aborrecem o justo serão desolados.
But malice shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous, shall perish.
22 O Senhor resgata a alma dos seus servos, e nenhum dos que n'elle confiam será desolado.
The Lord redeemeth the soules of his seruants: and none, that trust in him, shall perish.
