Salmos 27
1 O Senhor é a minha luz e a minha salvação; a quem temerei? O Senhor é a força da minha vida; de quem me receiarei?
David’s. Yahweh, is my light and my salvation, Of whom shall I be afraid? Yahweh, is the refuge of my life, Of whom shall I be in dread?
2 Quando os malvados, meus adversarios e meus inimigos, se chegaram contra mim, para comerem as minhas carnes, tropeçaram e cairam.
When there drew near against me evil-doers to devour my flesh, mine adversaries, and mine enemies—mine!—they, stumbled and fell!
3 Ainda que um exercito me cercasse, o meu coração não temeria: ainda que a guerra se levantasse contra mim, n'isto confiarei.
Though there pitch against me—a camp, my heart shall not fear, —Though there come up against me—a battle, still, am I confident.
4 Uma coisa pedi ao Senhor, e a buscarei: que possa morar na casa do Senhor todos os dias da minha vida, para contemplar a formosura do Senhor, e inquirir no seu templo.
One thing, have I asked of Yahweh, That, will I seek to secure, —That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh, all the days of my life, To view the delightfulness of Yahweh, And to contemplate in his temple.
5 Porque no dia da adversidade me esconderá no seu pavilhão: no occulto do seu tabernaculo me esconderá: pôr-me-ha sobre uma rocha.
For he will hide me in his pavilion, in the day of calamity, —He will conceal me, in the secrecy of his tent, Within a rock, will he set me on high.
6 Tambem agora a minha cabeça será exaltada sobre os meus inimigos que estão em redor de mim; portanto offerecerei sacrificio de jubilo no seu tabernaculo; cantarei, sim, cantarei louvores ao Senhor.
Now, therefore, shall my head be raised high above my foes round about me, and I will sacrifice in his tent the sacrifices of triumphant joy, I will sing and touch the strings, to Yahweh.
7 Ouve, Senhor, a minha voz quando clamo: tem tambem piedade de mim, e responde-me.
Hear, O Yahweh, With my voice, do I cry, Oh then show me favour and answer me.
8 Quando tu disseste: Buscae o meu rosto; o meu coração te disse a ti: O teu rosto, Senhor, buscarei.
To thee, said my heart—[When thou saidst] Seek ye my face—Thy face, O Yahweh, will I seek!
9 Não escondas de mim a tua face, não rejeites ao teu servo com ira; tu foste a minha ajuda, não me deixes nem me desampares, ó Deus da minha salvação.
Do not hide thy face from me, Do not repulse, in thine anger, thine own servant, —My help, thou hast been, Do not send me away nor forsake me, O my saving God!
10 Porque, quando meu pae e minha mãe me desampararem, o Senhor me recolherá.
When, my own father and mother, had forsaken me, Then, Yahweh, took me up!
11 Ensina-me, Senhor, o teu caminho, e guia-me pela vereda direita; por causa dos que me andam espiando.
Point out to me, O Yahweh, thy way, —And guide me in a level path, because of mine adversaries.
12 Não me entregues á vontade dos meus adversarios; pois se levantaram falsas testemunhas contra mim, e os que respiram crueldade.
Do not give me up unto the desire of mine adversaries, for there have risen up against me witnesses that are false, and he that fanneth up violence.
13 Pereceria sem duvida, se não cresse que veria os bens do Senhor na terra dos viventes.
I believe that I shall see—The goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living,
14 Espera no Senhor, anima-te, e elle fortalecerá o teu coração; espera pois no Senhor.
Wait thou for Yahweh, —Be strong, and let thy heart be bold, Wait, then, for Yahweh!
