Salmos 146

1 Louvae ao Senhor. Ó alma minha, louva ao Senhor.

Praise ye the Lord. Praise thou the Lord, O my soule.

2 Louvarei ao Senhor durante a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus emquanto eu fôr vivo.

I will prayse the Lord during my life: as long as I haue any being, I wil sing vnto my God.

3 Não confieis em principes, nem no filho do homem, em quem não ha salvação.

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the sonne of man, for there is none helpe in him.

4 Sae-lhe o espirito, volta para a terra: n'aquelle mesmo dia perecem os seus pensamentos.

His breath departeth, and he returneth to his earth: then his thoughtes perish.

5 Bemaventurado aquelle que tem o Deus de Jacob por seu auxilio, e cuja esperança está posta no Senhor seu Deus.

Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

6 O que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo quanto ha n'elles, e o que guarda a verdade para sempre;

Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:

7 O que faz justiça aos opprimidos, o que dá pão aos famintos. O Senhor solta os encarcerados.

Which executeth iustice for the oppressed: which giueth bread to the hungry: the Lord loseth the prisoners.

8 O Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos: O Senhor levanta os abatidos: o Senhor ama os justos.

The Lord giueth sight to the blinde: the Lord rayseth vp the crooked: the Lord loueth the righteous.

9 O Senhor guarda os estrangeiros: sustem o orphão e a viuva, mas transtorna o caminho dos impios.

The Lord keepeth the strangers: he relieueth the fatherlesse and widowe: but he ouerthroweth the way of the wicked.

10 O Senhor reinará eternamente; o teu Deus, ó Sião, é de geração em geração. Louvae ao Senhor.

The Lord shall reigne for euer: O Zion, thy God endureth from generation to generation. Prayse ye the Lord.
