Salmos 138

1 Eu te louvarei, Senhor, de todo o meu coração: na presença dos deuses a ti cantarei louvores.

I will give thee thanks with my whole heart. I will sing praises to thee before the gods.

2 Inclinar-me-hei para o teu sancto templo, e louvarei o teu nome pela sua benignidade, e pela tua verdade: pois engrandeceste a tua palavra acima de todo o teu nome.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and give thanks to thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth. For thou have magnified thy word above all thy name.

3 No dia em que eu clamei, me escutaste; e alentaste com força a minha alma.

Thou answered me in the day that I called. Thou encouraged me with strength in my soul.

4 Todos os reis da terra te louvarão, ó Senhor, quando ouvirem as palavras da tua bocca;

All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, for they have heard the words of thy mouth.

5 E cantarão os caminhos do Senhor; pois grande é a gloria do Senhor.

Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.

6 Ainda que o Senhor é excelso, attende todavia para o humilde; mas ao soberbo conhece-o de longe.

For though Jehovah is high, yet he has respect to the lowly. But he knows the haughty from afar.

7 Andando eu no meio da angustia, tu me reviverás: estenderás a tua mão contra a ira dos meus inimigos, e a tua dextra me salvará.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou will revive me. Thou will stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand will save me.

8 O Senhor aprefeiçoará o que me toca; a tua benignidade, ó Senhor, dura para sempre; não desampares as obras das tuas mãos.

Jehovah will perfect that which concerns me. Thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, is forever. Forsake not the works of thine own hands.
