Salmos 115
1 Não a nós, Senhor, não a nós, mas ao teu nome dá gloria, por amor da tua benignidade e da tua verdade.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory.
2 Porque dirão as nações: Onde está o seu Deus?
For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the gentiles should say: Where is their God?
3 Porém o nosso Deus está nos céus: fez tudo o que lhe aprouve.
But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would.
4 Os idolos d'elles são prata e oiro, obra das mãos dos homens.
The idols of the gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.
5 Teem bocca mas não fallam: olhos teem, mas não vêem:
They have mouths and speak not: they have eyes and see not.
6 Teem ouvidos, mas não ouvem; narizes teem, mas não cheiram:
They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not.
7 Teem mãos, mas não apalpam; pés teem, mas não andam; nem som algum sae da sua garganta.
They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: neither shall they cry out through their throat.
8 A elles se tornem similhantes os que os fazem, assim como todos os que n'elles confiam.
Let them that make them become like unto them: and all such as trust in them.
9 Israel, confia no Senhor: elle é o seu auxilio e o seu escudo.
The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
10 Casa de Aarão, confia no Senhor: elle é o seu auxilio e o seu escudo.
The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
11 Vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, confiae no Senhor: elle é o seu auxilio e o seu escudo.
They that fear the Lord hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.
12 O Senhor se lembrou de nós; elle nos abençoará; abençoará a casa d'Israel; abençoará a casa d'Aarão.
The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us. He hath blessed the house of Israel: he hath blessed the house of Aaron.
13 Abençoará os que temem ao Senhor, tanto pequenos como grandes.
He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, both little and great.
14 O Senhor vos augmentará cada vez mais, a vós e a vossos filhos.
May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your children.
15 Sois bemditos do Senhor que fez os céus e a terra.
Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
16 Os céus são os céus do Senhor; mas a terra a deu aos filhos dos homens.
The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but the earth he has given to the children of men.
17 Os mortos não louvam ao Senhor, nem os que descem ao silencio.
The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. (questioned)
18 Mas nós bemdiremos ao Senhor, desde agora e para sempre. Louvae ao Senhor.
But we that live bless the Lord: from this time now and for ever.
