Salmos 104
1 Bemdize, ó alma minha, ao Senhor: Senhor Deus meu, tu és magnificentissimo, estás vestido de gloria e de magestade.
Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 Elle se cobre de luz como de um vestido, estende os céus como uma cortina.
He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3 Põe nas aguas as vigas das suas camaras; faz das nuvens o seu carro, anda sobre as azas do vento.
He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4 Faz dos seus anjos espiritos, dos seus ministros um fogo abrazador.
He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.
5 Lançou os fundamentos da terra, para que não vacille em tempo algum.
He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever and ever.
6 Tu a cobres com o abysmo, como com um vestido: as aguas estavam sobre os montes.
You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
7 Á tua reprehensão fugiram: á voz do teu trovão se apressaram.
At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8 Sobem aos montes, descem aos valles, até ao logar que para ellas fundaste.
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
9 Termo lhes pozeste, que não ultrapassarão, para que não tornem mais a cobrir a terra.
You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they do not turn again to cover the earth.
10 Tu, que fazes sair as fontes nos valles, as quaes correm entre os montes.
He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
11 Dão de beber a todo o animal do campo; os jumentos montezes matam a sua sêde.
They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 Junto d'ellas as aves do céu terão a sua habitação, cantando entre os ramos.
The birds of the sky nest by them; among the branches they give forth a sound.
13 Elle rega os montes desde as suas camaras: a terra se farta do fructo das suas obras.
He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
14 Faz crescer a herva para as bestas, e a verdura para o serviço do homem, para fazer sair da terra o pão,
He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth:
15 E o vinho que alegra o coração do homem, e o azeite que faz reluzir o seu rosto, e o pão que fortalece o coração do homem.
wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.
16 As arvores do Senhor fartam-se de seiva, os cedros do Libano que elle plantou,
The LORD's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;
17 Onde as aves se aninham: emquanto á cegonha, a sua casa é nas faias.
where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees.
18 Os altos montes são um refugio para as cabras montezes, e as rochas para os coelhos.
The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 Designou a lua para as estações: o sol conhece o seu occaso.
He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
20 Ordenas a escuridão, e faz-se noite, na qual saem todos os animaes da selva.
You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21 Os leõesinhos bramam pela preza, e de Deus buscam o seu sustento.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22 Nasce o sol e logo se acolhem, e se deitam nos seus covis.
The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
23 Então sae o homem á sua obra e ao seu trabalho, até á tarde.
Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening.
24 Ó Senhor, quão variadas são as tuas obras! todas as coisas fizeste com sabedoria; cheia está a terra das tuas riquezas.
LORD, how many are your works. In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
25 Assim é este mar grande e muito espaçoso, onde ha reptis sem numero, animaes pequenos e grandes.
There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
26 Ali andam os navios; e o leviathan que formaste para n'elle folgar.
There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
27 Todos esperam de ti, que lhes dês o seu sustento em tempo opportuno.
All of them look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
28 Dando-lh'o tu, elles o recolhem; abres a tua mão, e se enchem de bens.
You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29 Escondes o teu rosto, e ficam perturbados: se lhes tiras o folego, morrem, e voltam para o seu pó.
You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
30 Envias o teu Espirito, e são creados, e assim renovas a face da terra.
You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
31 A gloria do Senhor durará para sempre: o Senhor se alegrará nas suas obras.
Let the glory of the LORD endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
32 Olhando elle para a terra, ella treme; tocando nos montes, logo fumegam.
He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Cantarei ao Senhor emquanto eu viver; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus, emquanto eu tiver existencia.
I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist.
34 A minha meditação ácerca d'elle será suave: eu me alegrarei no Senhor.
Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Desçam da terra os peccadores, e os impios não sejam mais. Bemdize, ó alma minha, ao Senhor. Louvae ao Senhor.
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD.
