Salmos 10
1 Porque estás ao longe, Senhor? Porque te escondes nos tempos de angustia?
Why, O LORD, do You stand far off? Why do You hide in times of trouble?
2 Os impios na sua arrogancia perseguem furiosamente o miseravel; sejam apanhados nas ciladas que machinaram.
In pride the wicked pursue the needy; let them be caught in the schemes they devise.
3 Porque o impio gloria-se do desejo da sua alma; bemdiz ao avarento, e blasphema do Senhor.
For the wicked man boasts in the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.
4 Pela altivez do seu rosto o impio não busca a Deus: todas as suas cogitações são que não ha Deus
In his pride the wicked man does not seek Him; in all his schemes there is no God.
5 Os seus caminhos atormentam sempre: os teus juizos estão longe da vista d'elle em grande altura, e despreza aos seus inimigos.
He is secure in his ways at all times; Your lofty judgments are far from him; he sneers at all his foes.
6 Diz em seu coração: Não serei commovido, porque nunca me verei na adversidade.
He says to himself, “I will not be moved; from age to age I am free of distress.”
7 A sua bocca está cheia d'inprecações, d'enganos e d'astucia; debaixo da sua lingua ha molestia e maldade.
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and violence; trouble and malice are under his tongue.
8 Põe-se nas emboscadas das aldeias; nos logares occultos mata ao innocente; os seus olhos estão occultamente fitos contra o pobre.
He lies in wait near the villages; in ambush he slays the innocent; his eyes watch in stealth for the helpless.
9 Arma ciladas no esconderijo, como o leão no seu covil; arma ciladas para roubar ao miseravel; rouba ao miseravel, trazendo-o na sua rede.
He lies in wait like a lion in a thicket; he lurks to seize the oppressed; he catches the lowly in his net.
10 Encolhe-se, abaixa-se, para que os pobres caiam em suas fortes garras.
They are crushed and beaten down; the hapless fall prey to his strength.
11 Diz em seu coração: Deus esqueceu-se, cobriu o seu rosto, e nunca o verá.
He says to himself, “God has forgotten; He hides His face and never sees.”
12 Levanta-te, Senhor: oh! Deus, levanta a tua mão; não te esqueças dos miseraveis.
Arise, O LORD! Lift up Your hand, O God! Do not forget the helpless.
13 Porque blasphema o impio de Deus? dizendo no seu coração: Tu não o esquadrinharás?
Why has the wicked man renounced God? He says to himself, “You will never call me to account.”
14 Tu o viste, porque attentas para o trabalho e enfado, para o entregar em tuas mãos; a ti o pobre se encommenda, tu és o auxilio do orphão.
But You have regarded trouble and grief; You see to repay it by Your hand. The victim entrusts himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.
15 Quebra o braço do impio e malvado; busca a sua impiedade, até que nenhuma encontres.
Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer; call him to account for his wickedness until none is left to be found.
16 O Senhor é Rei eterno; da sua terra perecerão os gentios.
The LORD is King forever and ever; the nations perish from His land.
17 Senhor, tu ouviste os desejos dos mansos; confortarás os seus corações; os teus ouvidos estarão abertos para elles;
You have heard, O LORD, the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will incline Your ear,
18 Para fazer justiça ao orphão e ao opprimido, afim de que o homem da terra não prosiga mais em usar da violencia.
to vindicate the fatherless and oppressed, that the men of the earth may strike terror no more.
