Filemón 1
1 Paulo, prisioneiro de Jesus Christo, e o irmão Timotheo, ao amado Philemon, nosso cooperador,
Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy the brother, to Philemon our beloved friend and fellow-laborer,
2 E á amada Apphia, e a Archippo, companheiro de nossa milicia, e á egreja que está em tua casa:
and to the beloved Apphia, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Graça a vós e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pae, e da do Senhor Jesus Christo.
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Graças dou ao meu Deus, lembrando-me sempre de ti nas minhas orações;
I thank my God at all times, making mention of thee in my prayers,
5 Ouvindo a tua caridade e a fé que tens para com o Senhor Jesus Christo, e para com todos os sanctos:
hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
6 Para que a communicação da tua fé seja efficaz no conhecimento de todo o bem que em vós ha por Christo Jesus.
that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us, for Christ Jesus.
7 Porque tive grande gozo e consolação da tua caridade, porque por ti, ó irmão, as entranhas dos sanctos foram recreadas.
For we have great thankfulness and comfort on account of thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Pelo que, ainda que tenha em Christo grande confiança para te mandar o que te convém,
Wherefore, though I have much boldness in Christ to enjoin upon thee that which is befitting,
9 Todavia peço-te antes por caridade, sendo eu tal como sou, Paulo o velho, e tambem agora prisioneiro de Jesus Christo.
yet for love's sake I beseech thee rather; being such a one as Paul an old man, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus,
10 Peço-te por meu filho Onesimo, que gerei nas minhas prisões;
I beseech thee for my child, whom I begot in my bonds, Onesimus;
11 O qual d'antes te era inutil, mas agora a ti e a mim muito util; eu t'o tornei a enviar.
who in time past was unprofitable to thee, but is now profitable to thee and to me;
12 Tu, porém, torna a recebel-o como ás minhas entranhas.
whom I have sent back; and do thou [[receive]] him, that is, my own flesh.
13 Eu bem o quizera reter comigo, para que por ti me servisse nas prisões do evangelho;
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might minister to me in the bonds of the gospel;
14 Porém nada quiz fazer sem o teu parecer, para que o teu beneficio não fosse como por força, mas voluntario.
but I chose to do nothing without thy consent, that thy benefit may be not as from necessity, but willingly.
15 Porque bem pode ser que elle se tenha por isso apartado de ti por algum tempo, para que o retivesses para sempre: (aiōnios g166)
For perhaps he was separated from thee for a season to this end, that thou shouldst receive him back as thine for ever; (aiōnios g166)
16 Não já como servo, antes, mais do que servo, como irmão amado, particularmente de mim: e quanto mais de ti, assim na carne como no Senhor?
no longer as a bond-servant, but above a bond-servant, a brother beloved, especially to me, but how much more to thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord!
17 Assim pois, se me tens por companheiro, recebe-o como a mim mesmo.
If thou then regardest me as a partner, receive him as myself.
18 E, se te fez algum damno, ou te deve alguma coisa, põe-o á minha conta.
And if he wronged thee in anything, or oweth thee, put that to my account.
19 Eu, Paulo, de minha propria mão o escrevi; eu o pagarei, por te não dizer que ainda mesmo a ti proprio a mim te deves.
I Paul have written it with my own hand, I will repay it; not to say to thee, that to me thou owest even thy own self besides.
20 Sim, irmão, eu me regozijarei de ti no Senhor: recreia as minhas entranhas no Senhor.
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.
21 Escrevi-te confiado na tua obediencia, sabendo que ainda farás mais do que digo.
Having confidence in thy obedience I have written to thee, knowing that thou wilt do even more than I say.
22 E juntamente prepara-me tambem pousada, porque espero que pelas vossas orações vos hei de ser concedido.
And at the same time make ready a lodging for me; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted to you.
23 Saudam-te Epaphras, meu companheiro de prisão por Christo Jesus,
Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus,
24 Marcos, Aristarcho, Demas e Lucas, meus cooperadores.
Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-laborers, salute thee.
25 A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo seja com o vosso espirito. Amen.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
