Miquéias 7
1 Ai de mim! porque estou feito como quando se tem colhido as fructas do verão, como os rabiscos da vindima; não ha cacho de uvas para comer; desejou a minha alma figos temporãos.
Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape-gleanings of the vintage: [there is] no cluster to eat: my soul desired the first ripe fruit.
2 Já pereceu o benigno da terra, e não ha entre os homens um que seja recto: todos armam ciladas para sangue; caçam cada um a seu irmão com rede,
The good [man] hath perished from the earth: and [there is] none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
3 Para com ambas as mãos fazerem diligentemente o mal; assim demanda o principe, e o juiz julga pela recompensa, e o grande falla a corrupção da sua alma, e a torcem.
That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge [asketh] for a reward; and the great [man], he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
4 O melhor d'elles é como um espinho; o mais recto é peior do que o espinhal: veiu o dia dos teus vigias, veiu a tua visitação; agora será a sua confusão.
The best of them [is] as a brier: the most upright [is sharper] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen [and] thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
5 Não creias no amigo, nem confieis no vosso guia, d'aquella que repousa no teu seio guarda as portas da tua bocca.
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
6 Porque o filho despreza ao pae, a filha se levanta contra sua mãe, a nora contra sua sogra, os inimigos do homem são os da sua casa.
For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies [are] the men of his own house.
7 Eu, porém, esperarei no Senhor; esperei no Deus da minha salvação: o meu Deus me ouvirá.
Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Ó inimiga minha, não te alegres de mim; ainda bem que eu tenho caido, levantar-me-hei: se morar nas trevas, o Senhor será a minha luz.
Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD [will be] a light to me.
9 Soffrerei a ira do Senhor, porque pequei contra elle, até que julgue a minha causa, e execute o meu direito: elle tirar-me-ha á luz, verei satisfeito a sua justiça.
I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he shall plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I shall behold his righteousness.
10 E a minha inimiga o verá, e cobril-a-ha a confusão; e aquella que me diz: Onde está o teu Deus? os meus olhos a verão satisfeitos; agora será ella pisada como a lama das ruas
Then [she that is] my enemy shall see [it], and shame shall cover her who said to me, Where is the LORD thy God? my eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
11 No dia em que reedificar os teus muros, n'esse dia longe estará ainda o estatuto.
[In] the day that thy walls are to be built, [in] that day shall the decree be far removed.
12 N'aquelle dia virá até ti, desde a Assyria até ás cidades fortes, e das fortalezas até ao rio, e do mar até ao mar, e da montanha até á montanha.
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain.
13 Porém esta terra será posta em desolação, por causa dos seus moradores, por causa do fructo das suas obras.
Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell in it, for the fruit of their doings.
14 Apascenta o teu povo com a tua vara, o rebanho da tua herança, que móra só no bosque, no meio da terra fertil; apascentem-se em Basan e Gilead, como nos dias da antiguidade.
Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, who dwell solitarily [in] the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed [in] Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
15 Eu lhes mostrarei maravilhas, como nos dias da tua subida da terra do Egypto.
According to the days of thy departure from the land of Egypt will I show to him marvelous [things].
16 As nações o verão, e envergonhar-se-hão, por causa de todo o seu poder: porão a mão sobre a bocca, e os seus ouvidos ficarão surdos
The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay [their] hand upon [their] mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
17 Lamberão o pó como serpentes, como uns reptis da terra, tremendo, sairão dos seus encerramentos; com pavor virão ao Senhor nosso Deus, e terão medo de ti.
They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
18 Quem é Deus similhante a ti, que perdoa a iniquidade, e que passa pela rebellião do restante da sua herança? não retem a sua ira para sempre, porque tem prazer na benignidade.
Who [is] a God like to thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth [in] mercy.
19 Tornará a apiedar-se de nós: sujeitará as nossas iniquidades, e tu lançarás todos os seus peccados nas profundezas do mar.
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
20 Darás a Jacob a fidelidade, e a Abrahão a benignidade, que juraste a nossos paes desde os dias antigos.
Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
