Mateus 7
1 Não julgueis, para que não sejaes julgados.
Judge not, that you be not judged;
2 Porque com o juizo com que julgardes sereis julgados, e com a medida com que tiverdes medido hão de medir para vós.
for as you judge, you shall be judged; and the measure which you give, the same you shall receive.
3 E porque reparas tu no argueiro que está no olho do teu irmão, e não vês a trave que está no teu olho
And why do you observe the mote in your brother's eye, but you are insensible of the splinter in your own eye?
4 Ou como dirás a teu irmão: Deixa-me tirar o argueiro do teu olho; e, eis uma trave no teu olho?
Or how dare you say to your brother, let me take the mote out of your eye; when lo! you have a splinter in your own?
5 Hypocrita, tira primeiro a trave do teu olho, e então cuidarás em tirar o argueiro do olho do teu irmão.
Hypocrite, first take the splinter out of your own eye; then you will see clearly to take the mote out of your brother's eye.
6 Não deis aos cães as coisas sanctas, nem deiteis aos porcos as vossas perolas, não seja caso que as pizem com os pés, e, voltando-se, vos despedacem.
Give not things holy to dogs, and cast not your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot, and turn upon you, and tear you apart.
7 Pedi, e dar-se-vos-ha; buscae, e encontrareis; batei, e abrir-se-vos-ha.
Ask, and you shall obtain; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
8 Porque, aquelle que pede, recebe; e, o que busca, encontra; e, ao que bate, se abre.
For whosoever asks, obtains; whosoever seeks, finds; and to every one who knocks, the door shall be opened.
9 E qual d'entre vós é o homem que, pedindo-lhe pão o seu filho, lhe dará uma pedra?
Who of you men would give his son a stone, when he asks bread;
10 E, pedindo-lhe peixe, lhe dará uma serpente?
or a serpent, when he asks a fish?
11 Se vós, pois, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas coisas aos vossos filhos, quanto mais vosso Pae, que está nos céus, dará bens aos que lh'os pedirem?
If you then, though evil, can give good things to your children, how much more will your Father, who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?
12 Portanto, tudo o que vós quereis que os homens vos façam, fazei-lh'o tambem vós, porque esta é a lei e os prophetas.
Whatever you would that others do to you, do you the same to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Entrae pela porta estreita; porque larga é a porta, e espaçoso o caminho que conduz á perdição, e muitos são os que entram por elle;
Enter in through the strait gate; for wide is the gate of perdition, broad is its way leading thither; and many are they who enter by it.
14 Porque estreita é a porta, e apertado o caminho que leva á vida, e poucos ha que o encontrem.
But how strait is the gate of life; how narrow the way leading thither; and how few are they who find it!
15 Acautelae-vos, porém, dos falsos prophetas, que veem para vós vestidos como ovelhas, mas interiormente são lobos devoradores.
Beware of false teachers, who come to you in the garb of sheep, while inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 Por seus fructos os conhecereis. Porventura colhem-se uvas dos espinheiros ou figos dos abrolhos?
By their fruits you shall discover them. Are grapes gathered from thorns; or figs from thistles?
17 Assim, toda a arvore boa produz bons fructos, e toda a arvore má produz fructos maus.
Every good tree yields good fruit, and every evil tree evil fruit.
18 Não pode a arvore boa dar maus fructos; nem a arvore má dar fructos bons.
A good tree can not yield evil fruit, nor an evil tree good fruit.
19 Toda a arvore que não dá bom fructo corta-se e lança-se no fogo.
Every tree which yields not good fruit, is cut down, and turned into fuel.
20 E, assim, pelos seus fructos os conhecereis.
Wherefore, by their fruits you shall discover them.
21 Nem todo o que me diz: Senhor, Senhor! entrará no reino dos céus, mas aquelle que faz a vontade de meu Pae, que está nos céus.
Not every one who says to me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father, who is in heaven.
22 Muitos me dirão n'aquelle dia: Senhor, Senhor, não prophetizámos nós em teu nome? e em teu nome não expulsámos demonios? e em teu nome não fizemos muitas maravilhas?
Many will say to me on that day, Master, Master, have we not taught in thy name, and in thy name performed many miracles?
23 E então lhes direi abertamente: Nunca vos conheci: apartae-vos de mim, vós que obraes a iniquidade.
To whom I will declare, I never acknowledged you. Depart from me, you who practice iniquity.
24 Todo aquelle, pois, que escuta estas minhas palavras e as pratica, assimilhal-o-hei ao homem prudente, que edificou a sua casa sobre a rocha;
Therefore, whosoever hears these my precepts, and does them, I will compare to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock.
25 E desceu a chuva, e correram rios, e assopraram ventos, e combateram aquella casa, e não caiu, porque estava edificada sobre a rocha.
For although the rain descended, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, it fell not, because it was founded upon the rock.
26 E aquelle que ouve estas minhas palavras, e as não executa, comparal-o-hei ao homem insensato, que edificou a sua casa sobre a areia;
But whosoever hears these my precepts, and does them not, shall be compared to a simpleton, who built his house upon the sand.
27 E desceu a chuva, e correram rios, e assopraram ventos, e combateram aquella casa, e caiu, e foi grande a sua queda.
For when the rain descended, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and dashed against that house, it fell, and great was its ruin.
28 E aconteceu que, concluindo Jesus este discurso, a multidão se admirou da sua doutrina,
When Jesus had ended this discourse, the people were struck with awe at his manner of teaching;
29 Porque os ensinava como tendo auctoridade; e não como os escribas.
for he taught as one who had authority, and not as the Scribes.
