Marcos 13
1 E, saindo elle do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discipulos: Mestre, olha que pedras, e que edificios!
As Jesus was coming out from the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look! What wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”
2 E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Vês estes grandes edificios? Não ficará pedra sobre pedra que não seja derribada.
Jesus answered him, “Do yoʋ see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another; all of them will be torn down.”
3 E, assentando-se elle no monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, Pedro, e Thiago, e João e André lhe perguntaram em particular:
Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
4 Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e que signal haverá quando todas essas coisas se houverem de cumprir.
“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
5 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, começou a dizer: Olhae que ninguem vos engane;
Jesus began to say to them in response, “Make sure no one leads you astray.
6 Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Christo: e enganarão a muitos.
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will lead many astray.
7 E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e de rumores de guerras, não vos turbeis; porque assim importa fazer-se; mas ainda não será o fim.
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
8 Porque se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino, e haverá terremotos em diversos logares, e haverá fomes e alvoroços. Estas coisas serão o principio de dôres
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, along with famines and riots. These are the beginning of the labor pains.
9 Mas olhae por vós mesmos, porque vos entregarão aos concilios e ás synagogas; sereis açoitados, e sereis apresentados ante presidentes e reis, por amor de mim, para lhes servir de testemunho.
“You must watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues. For my sake you will even be set before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 Mas importa que o evangelho se pregue primeiro entre todas as gentes.
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
11 Quando pois vos conduzirem para vos entregarem, não estejaes solicitos d'antemão pelo que haveis de dizer; mas, o que vos fôr dado n'aquella hora, isso fallae; porque não sois vós os que fallaes, mas o Espirito Sancto.
When they lead you away and hand you over, do not be anxious beforehand about what you should say. Do not give it much thought, but say whatever is given to you in that hour, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 E o irmão entregará á morte o irmão, e o pae o filho: e levantar-se-hão os filhos contra os paes, e os matarão.
Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.
13 E sereis aborrecidos por todos por amor do meu nome; mas quem perseverar até ao fim esse será salvo.
You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 Ora, quando vós virdes a abominação do assolamento, que foi predito, estando onde não deve estar (quem lê, entenda), então os que estiverem na Judea fujam para os montes.
“When you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing where it should not be” (let the reader understand), “then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
15 E o que estiver sobre o telhado não desça para casa, nem entre a tomar coisa alguma de sua casa;
He who is on the housetop must not come down into his house or go inside to get anything out of his house.
16 E o que estiver no campo não volte atraz, para tomar o seu vestido.
And he who is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
17 Mas ai das gravidas, e das que criarem n'aquelles dias!
Woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!
18 Orae pois, para que a vossa fugida não succeda no inverno;
Pray that your flight will not happen in winter.
19 Porque n'aquelles dias haverá uma afflicção tal, qual nunca houve desde o principio da creação, que Deus creou, até agora, nem tão pouco haverá
For those days will be a time of tribulation unlike any other from the beginning of God's creation until now, and it will never be equaled again.
20 E, se o Senhor não abreviasse aquelles dias, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas, por causa dos escolhidos que escolheu, abreviou aquelles dias.
If the Lord had not cut those days short, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the chosen, whom he has selected, he has cut those days short.
21 E então, se alguem vos disser: Eis aqui está o Christo: ou, Eil-o ali está: não o acrediteis.
If anyone says to you at that time, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ do not believe him.
22 Porque se levantarão falsos christos, e falsos prophetas, e farão signaes e prodigios, para enganarem, se fôr possivel, até os escolhidos.
For false christs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen.
23 Mas vós vede; eis que d'antemão vos tenho dito tudo.
So you must watch out! Behold, I have told you everything in advance.
24 Ora, n'aquelles dias, depois d'aquella afflicção, o sol se escurecerá, e a lua não dará o seu resplendor,
“But in those days, after that time of tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
25 E as estrellas cairão do céu, e as forças que estão nos céus serão abaladas.
The stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 E então verão vir o Filho do homem nas nuvens, com grande poder e gloria.
Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 E então enviará os seus anjos, e ajuntará os seus escolhidos, desde os quatro ventos, da extremidade da terra até á extremidade do céu.
And he will send his angels and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
28 Aprendei pois a parabola da figueira: Quando já o seu ramo se torna tenro, e brota folhas, bem sabeis que já está proximo o verão.
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and put out leaves, you know that summer is near.
29 Assim tambem vós, quando virdes succederem estas coisas, sabei que já está junto ás portas.
So also, when you see these things taking place, know that he is near, at the very gates.
30 Na verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração, até que todas estas coisas aconteçam.
Truly I say to you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have taken place.
31 Passará o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
32 Porém d'aquelle dia e hora ninguem sabe, nem os anjos que estão no céu, nem o Filho, senão o Pae
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven or the Son, but only the Father.
33 Olhae, vigiae e orae; porque não sabeis quando chegará o tempo.
Be on guard; stay alert and pray! For you do not know when the time is coming.
34 Como o homem, que, partindo para fóra da terra, deixou a sua casa, e deu auctoridade aos seus servos, e a cada um a sua obra, e mandou ao porteiro que vigiasse;
It is like a man away on a journey: When he leaves his house and gives authority to his servants, assigning to each one his task, he also commands the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 Vigiae pois, porque não sabeis quando virá o senhor da casa; se á tarde, se á meia noite, se ao cantar do gallo, se pela manhã,
Therefore keep watch, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning.
36 Para que não venha de improviso, e vos ache dormindo.
Otherwise, he may come suddenly and find you sleeping.
37 E as coisas que vos digo digo-as a todos: Vigiae.
What I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!”
