Levítico 21
1 Depois disse o Senhor a Moysés: Falla aos sacerdotes, filhos d'Aarão, e dize-lhes: O sacerdote não se contaminará por causa d'um morto entre os seus povos,
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the priests the sons of Aaron, and you shall tell them [that] they shall not defile themselves in their nation for the dead,
2 Salvo por seu parente mais chegado a elle: por sua mãe, e por seu pae, e por seu filho, e sua filha, e por seu irmão,
but [they may mourn] for a relative who is very near to them, for a father and mother, and sons and daughters, for a brother,
3 E por sua irmã virgem, chegada a elle, que ainda não teve marido: por ella se contaminará.
and for a virgin sister that is near to one, that is not espoused to a man; for these one shall defile himself.
4 Não se contaminará por principe entre os seus povos, para se profanar.
He shall not defile himself suddenly among his people to profane himself.
5 Não farão calva na sua cabeça, e não raparão a ponta da sua barba, nem darão golpes na sua carne
And you shall not shave your head for the dead with a baldness on the top; and they shall not shave their beard, neither shall they make gashes on their flesh.
6 Sanctos serão a seu Deus, e não profanarão o nome do seu Deus, porque offerecem as offertas queimadas do Senhor, o pão do seu Deus: portanto serão sanctos.
They shall be holy to their God, and they shall not profane the name of their God; for they offer the sacrifices of the Lord as the gifts of their God, and they shall be holy.
7 Não tomarão mulher prostituta ou infame, nem tomarão mulher repudiada de seu marido; pois sancto é a seu Deus.
They shall not take a woman who is a harlot and profaned, or a woman put away from her husband; for he is holy to the Lord his God.
8 Portanto o sanctificarás, porquanto offerece o pão do teu Deus: sancto será para ti, pois Eu, o Senhor que vos sanctifica, sou sancto.
And you shall hallow him; he offers the gifts of the Lord your God: he shall be holy, for I the Lord that sanctify them [am] holy.
9 E quando a filha d'um sacerdote começar a fornicar, profana a seu pae; com fogo será queimada.
And if the daughter of a priest should be profaned to go a whoring, she profanes the name of her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
10 E o summo sacerdote entre seus irmãos, sobre cuja cabeça foi derramado o azeite da uncção, e que fôr sagrado para vestir os vestidos, não descobrirá a sua cabeça nem rasgará os seus vestidos
And the priest that is chief among his brethren, the oil having been poured upon the head of the anointed one, and he having been consecrated to put on the garments, shall not take the mitre off his head, and shall not rend his garments:
11 E não se chegará a cadaver algum, nem por causa de seu pae, nem por sua mãe, se contaminará;
neither shall he go in to any dead body, neither shall he defile himself for his father or his mother.
12 Nem sairá do sanctuario, para que não profane o sanctuario do seu Deus, pois a corôa do azeite da uncção do seu Deus está sobre elle; Eu sou o Senhor.
And he shall not go forth out of the sanctuary, and he shall not profane the sanctuary of his God, because the holy anointing oil of God [is] upon him: I [am] the Lord.
13 E elle tomará uma mulher na sua virgindade.
He shall take for a wife a virgin of his own tribe.
14 Viuva, ou repudiada, ou deshonrada, ou prostituta, estas não tomará, mas virgem dos seus povos tomará por mulher.
But a widow, or one that is put away, or profaned, or a harlot, these he shall not take; but he shall take for a wife a virgin of his own people.
15 E não profanará a sua semente entre os seus povos; porque Eu sou o Senhor que o sanctifico.
And he shall not profane his seed among his people: I [am] the Lord that sanctifies him.
16 Fallou mais o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
17 Falla a Aarão, dizendo: Ninguem da tua semente, nas suas gerações, em que houver alguma falta, se chegará a offerecer o pão do seu Deus
Say to Aaron, A man of your tribe throughout your generations, who shall have a blemish on him, shall not draw near to offer the gifts of his God.
18 Pois nenhum homem em quem houver alguma deformidade se chegará: como homem cego, ou côxo, ou de nariz chato, ou de membros demasiadamente compridos,
No man who has a blemish on him shall draw near; a man blind, lame, with his nose disfigured, or his ears cut,
19 Ou homem que tiver quebrado o pé, ou quebrada a mão,
a man who has a broken hand or a broken foot,
20 Ou corcovado, ou anão, ou que tiver belida no olho, ou sarna, ou impigens, ou que tiver testículo quebrado.
or humpbacked, or blear-eyed, or that has lost his eye-lashes, or a man who has a malignant ulcer, or tetter, or one that has lost a testicle.
21 Nenhum homem da semente de Aarão, o sacerdote, em quem houver alguma deformidade, se chegará para offerecer as offertas queimadas do Senhor: falta n'elle ha; não se chegará para offerecer o pão do seu Deus
Whoever of the seed of Aaron the priest has a blemish on him, shall not draw near to offer sacrifices to your God, because he has a blemish on him; he shall not draw near to offer the gifts of God.
22 O pão do seu Deus das sanctidades de sanctidades e das coisas sanctas poderá comer.
The gifts of God [are] most holy, and he shall eat of the holy things.
23 Porém até ao véu não entrará, nem se chegará ao altar, porquanto falta ha n'elle, para que não profane os meus sanctuarios; porque Eu sou o Senhor que os sanctifico.
Only he shall not approach the veil, and he shall not draw near to the altar, because he has a blemish; and he shall not profane the sanctuary of his God, for I am the Lord that sanctifies them.
24 E Moysés fallou isto a Aarão e a seus filhos, e a todos os filhos de Israel.
And Moses spoke to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
