Levítico 20
1 Fallou mais o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Tambem dirás aos filhos de Israel: Qualquer que, dos filhos de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam em Israel, dér da sua semente a Molech, certamente morrerá; o povo da terra o apedrejará com pedras.
“Say to the people of Israel, 'Anyone among the people of Israel, or any foreigner who lives in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech, must certainly be put to death. The people in the land must stone him with stones.
3 E eu porei a minha face contra esse homem, e o extirparei do meio do seu povo, porquanto deu da sua semente a Molech, para contaminar o meu sanctuario e profanar o meu sancto nome.
I also will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people because he has given his child to Molech, so as to defile my holy place and profane my holy name.
4 E, se o povo da terra de alguma maneira esconder os seus olhos d'aquelle homem que houver dado da sua semente a Molech, assim que o não matem,
If the people of the land close their eyes to that man when he gives any of his children to Molech, if they do not put him to death,
5 Então eu porei a minha face contra aquelle homem, e contra a sua familia, e o extirparei do meio do seu povo, com todos os que fornicam após d'elle, fornicando após de Molech.
then I myself will set my face against that man and his clan, and I will cut him off and everyone else who prostitutes himself in order to play the harlot with Molech.
6 Quando uma alma se virar para os adivinhadores e encantadores, para fornicar após d'elles, eu porei a minha face contra aquella alma, e a extirparei do meio do seu povo.
The person who turns to those who talk with the dead, or to those who talk with spirits so as to prostitute themselves with them, I will set my face against that person; I will cut him off from among his people.
7 Portanto sanctificae-vos, e sêde sanctos, pois Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
Therefore consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am Yahweh your God.
8 E guardae os meus estatutos, e fazei-os: Eu sou o Senhor que vos sanctifica.
You must keep my commands and carry them out. I am Yahweh who sets you apart as holy.
9 Quando um homem amaldiçoar a seu pae ou a sua mãe certamente morrerá: amaldiçoou a seu pae ou a sua mãe; o seu sangue é sobre elle.
Everyone who curses his father or his mother must surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother, so he is guilty and deserves to die.
10 Tambem o homem que adulterar com a mulher de outro, havendo adulterado com a mulher do seu proximo, certamente morrerá o adultero e a adultera.
The man who commits adultery with another man's wife, that is, anyone who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife—the adulterer and the adulteress must both certainly be put to death.
11 E o homem que se deitar com a mulher de seu pae descobriu a nudez de seu pae; ambos certamente morrerão: o seu sangue é sobre elles.
If a man lies with his father's wife, he uncovers his father's nakedness. Both the son and his father's wife must certainly be put to death. Their blood is upon them.
12 Similhantemente, quando um homem se deitar com a sua nora, ambos certamente morrerão: fizeram confusão; o seu sangue é sobre elles.
If a man sleeps with his daughter-in-law, both of them must certainly be put to death. They have committed perversion. They are guilty and deserve to die.
13 Quando tambem um homem se deitar com outro homem, como com mulher, ambos fizeram abominação; certamente morrerão; o seu sangue é sobre elles.
If a man sleeps with another man, as with a woman, both of them have done something detestable. They must surely be put to death. They are guilty and deserve to die.
14 E, quando um homem tomar uma mulher e a sua mãe, maldade é: a elle e a ellas queimarão com fogo, para que não haja maldade no meio de vós
If a man marries a woman and also marries her mother, this is wickedness. They must be burned, both he and the women, so that there will be no wickedness among you.
15 Quando tambem um homem se deitar com um animal, certamente morrerá; e matareis o animal.
If a man sleeps with an animal, he must surely be put to death, and you must kill the animal.
16 Tambem a mulher que se chegar a algum animal, para ter ajuntamento com elle, aquella mulher matarás com o animal; certamente morrerão; o seu sangue é sobre elles.
If a woman approaches any animal to sleep with it, you must kill the woman and the animal. They must certainly be put to death. They are guilty and deserve to die.
17 E, quando um homem tomar a sua irmã, filha de seu pae, ou filha de sua mãe, e elle vir a nudez d'ella, e ella vir a sua, torpeza é: portanto serão extirpados aos olhos dos filhos do seu povo: descobriu a nudez de sua irmã, levará sobre si a sua iniquidade.
If a man sleeps with his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and he uncovers her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing. They must be cut off from the presence of their people, because he has slept with his sister. He must carry his guilt.
18 E, quando um homem se deitar com uma mulher que tem a sua enfermidade, e descobriu a sua nudez, descobrindo a sua fonte, e ella descobrir a fonte do seu sangue, ambos serão extirpados do meio do seu povo.
If a man sleeps with a woman during her menstrual period and has slept with her, he has uncovered the flow of her blood, the source of her blood. Both the man and woman must be cut off from among their people.
19 Tambem a nudez da irmã de tua mãe, ou da irmã de teu pae não descobrirás: porquanto descobriu a sua parenta, sobre si levarão a sua iniquidade.
You must not sleep with your mother's sister, or with your father's sister, because you would disgrace your close relative. You must carry your own guilt.
20 Quando tambem um homem se deitar com a sua tia descobriu a nudez de seu tio: seu peccado sobre si levarão; sem filhos morrerão.
If a man sleeps with his aunt, he has dishonored his uncle. They will bear responsibility for their sin, and they will die without children.
21 E quando um homem tomar a mulher de seu irmão, immundicia é: a nudez de seu irmão descobriu: sem filhos ficarão.
If a man marries his brother's wife while his brother is still living, that is disgraceful. He has dishonored his brother, and I will take away from their children any property they may have inherited from their parents.
22 Guardae pois todos os meus estatutos, e todos os meus juizos, e fazei-os, para que vos não vomite a terra, na qual eu vos metto para habitar n'ella.
You must therefore keep all my statutes and all my decrees; you must obey them so that the land into which I am bringing you to live will not vomit you up.
23 E não andeis nos estatutos da gente que eu lanço fóra diante da vossa face, porque fizeram todas estas coisas: portanto fui enfadado d'elles.
You must not walk in the customs of the nations that I will drive out before you, for they have done all these things, and I detest them.
24 E a vós vos tenho dito: Em herança possuireis a sua terra, e eu a darei a vós, para possuil-a em herança, terra que mana leite e mel: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos separei dos povos.
I said to you, “You will inherit their land; I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the other peoples.
25 Fareis pois differença entre os animaes limpos e immundos, e entre as aves immundas e as limpas; e as vossas almas não fareis abominaveis por causa dos animaes, ou das aves, ou de tudo o que se arrasta sobre a terra; as quaes coisas apartae de vós, para tel-as por immundas.
You must therefore distinguish between the clean animals and the unclean, and between the unclean birds and the clean. You must not defile yourselves with unclean animals or birds or with any creature that crawls along the ground, which I have separated as unclean from you.
26 E ser-me-heis sanctos, porque Eu, o Senhor, sou sancto, e separei-vos dos povos, para serdes meus.
You must be holy, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples, for you belong to me.
27 Quando pois algum homem ou mulher em si tiver um espirito adivinho, ou fôr encantador, certamente morrerão: com pedras se apedrejarão; o seu sangue é sobre elles.
A man or a woman who talks with the dead or who talks with spirits must certainly be put to death. The people must stone them with stones. They are guilty and deserve to die.'”
