Levítico 19
1 Fallou mais o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 Falla a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Sanctos sereis, porque Eu, o Senhor vosso Deus, sou sancto.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I, Adonai your God, am holy.
3 Cada um temerá a sua mãe e a seu pae, e guardará os meus sabbados: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Shab'totay ·Intermissions·. I am Adonai your God.
4 Não vos virareis para os idolos, nem vos fareis deuses de fundição: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten deities for yourselves. I am Adonai your God.
5 E, quando sacrificardes sacrificio pacifico ao Senhor, da vossa propria vontade o sacrificareis.
“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Adonai, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
6 No dia em que o sacrificardes, e no dia seguinte, se comerá; mas o que sobejar ao terceiro dia será queimado com fogo.
It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.
7 E, se alguma coisa d'elle fôr comida ao terceiro dia, coisa abominavel é: não será acceita.
If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;
8 E qualquer que o comer levará a sua iniquidade, porquanto profanou a sanctidade do Senhor; por isso tal alma será extirpada do seu povo.
but everyone who eats it shall bear his depravity (moral evil), because he has profaned the holy thing of Adonai, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.
9 Quando tambem segardes a sega da vossa terra, o canto do teu campo não segarás totalmente, nem as espigas caidas colherás da tua sega.
“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 Similhantemente não rabiscarás a tua vinha, nem colherás os bagos caidos da tua vinha: deixal-os-has ao pobre e ao estrangeiro: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Adonai your God.
11 Não furtareis nem mentireis, nem usareis de falsidade cada um com o seu proximo;
“‘You shall not steal from, defraud, or lie to one another.
12 Nem jurareis falso pelo meu nome, pois profanarás o nome do teu Deus: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and shall not profane את the name of your God. I am Adonai.
13 Não opprimirás o teu proximo, nem o roubarás: a paga do jornaleiro não ficará comtigo até á manhã.
“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 Não amaldiçoarás ao surdo, nem porás tropeço diante do cego: mas terás temor do teu Deus: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
15 Não fareis injustiça no juizo: não acceitarás o pobre, nem respeitarás o grande; com justiça julgarás o teu proximo.
“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor uprightly.
16 Não andarás como mexeriqueiro entre os teus povos: não te porás contra o sangue do teu proximo: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Adonai.
17 Não aborrecerás a teu irmão no teu coração: não deixarás de reprehender o teu proximo, e n'elle não soffrerás peccado.
“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear crime deserving penalty, sin ·missing the goal· because of him.
18 Não te vingarás nem guardarás ira contra os filhos do teu povo; mas amarás o teu proximo como a ti mesmo: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall not take vengeance or revenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· your neighbor as yourself. I am Adonai.
19 Guardareis os meus estatutos: não permittirás que se ajuntem misturadamente os teus animaes de differente especie: no teu campo não semearás semente de mistura, e vestido de diversos estofos misturados não vestireis.
“‘You shall keep my regulations. “‘You shall not cross-breed different kinds of animals. “‘You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘Don’t wear a garment made of two kinds of material.
20 E, quando um homem se deitar com uma mulher que fôr serva desposada do homem, e não fôr resgatada, nem se lhe houver dado liberdade, então serão açoitados; não morrerão, pois não foi libertada.
“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 E, por expiação da sua culpa, trará ao Senhor, á porta da tenda da congregação, um carneiro da expiação,
He shall bring his fault incurring guilt offering to Adonai, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a fault incurring guilt offering.
22 E, com o carneiro da expiação da culpa, o sacerdote fará propiciação por elle perante o Senhor, pelo seu peccado que peccou; e o seu peccado, que peccou, lhe será perdoado.
The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the fault incurring guilt offering before Adonai for his habitual sin ·missing the mark· which he has sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)·: and the habitual sin ·missing the mark· which he has sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)· shall be forgiven him.
23 E, quando tiverdes entrado na terra, e plantardes toda a arvore de comer, ser-vos-ha incircumciso o seu fructo; tres annos vos será incircumciso; d'elle não se comerá.
“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years they shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 Porém no quarto anno todo o seu fructo será sancto para dar louvores ao Senhor.
But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Adonai.
25 E no quinto anno comereis o seu fructo, para que vos faça crescer a sua novidade: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Adonai your God.
26 Não comereis coisa alguma com o sangue; não agourareis nem adivinhareis.
“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.
27 Não cortareis o cabello, arredondando os cantos da vossa cabeça, nem damnificarás a ponta da tua barba.
“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.
28 Pelos mortos não dareis golpes na vossa carne: nem fareis marca alguma sobre vós: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Adonai.
29 Não contaminarás a tua filha, fazendo-a fornicar: para que a terra não fornique, nem se encha de maldade.
“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 Guardareis os meus sabbados, e o meu sanctuario reverenciareis: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall keep my Shab'totay ·Intermissions·, and revere my sanctuary; I am Adonai.
31 Não vos virareis para os adivinhadores e encantadores; não os busqueis, contaminando-vos com elles: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
“‘Don’t turn to those who are spirit-mediums, nor to the sorcerers. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Adonai your God.
32 Diante das cãs te levantarás, e honrarás a face do velho; e terás temor do teu Deus: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall rise up before the silver haired, and honor the face of an elder old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
33 E quando o estrangeiro peregrinar comtigo na vossa terra, não o opprimireis.
“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 Como um natural entre vós será o estrangeiro que peregrina comvosco: amal-o-has como a ti mesmo, pois estrangeiros fostes na terra do Egypto: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. I am Adonai your God.
35 Não commettereis injustiça no juizo, nem na vara, nem no peso, nem na medida.
“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.
36 Balanças justas, pedras justas, epha justa, e justo hin tereis: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra do Egypto.
You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah [0.63 bushels; 5.9 gal; 22 L], and a just hin [0.98 gal; 3.7 L]. I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
37 Pelo que guardareis todos os meus estatutos, e todos os meus juizos, e os fareis: Eu sou o Senhor.
“‘You shall observe all my regulations, and all my judgments, and do them. I am Adonai.’”
