Levítico 12

1 Fallou mais o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 Falla aos filhos d'Israel, dizendo: Se uma mulher conceber e parir um macho, será immunda sete dias, assim como nos dias da separação da sua enfermidade será immunda.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a male child: then shall she be unclean seven days, even as in the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

3 E no dia oitavo se circumcidará ao menino a carne do seu prepucio.

And on the eighth day shall the flesh of his foreskin be circumcised.

4 Depois ficará ella trinta e tres dias no sangue da sua purificação; nenhuma coisa sancta tocará, e não virá ao sanctuario até que se cumpram os dias da sua purificação.

And thirty and three days shall she then continue in the blood of her purification; any thing hallowed shall she not touch, and into the sanctuary shall she not come, until the days of her purification be at an end.

5 Mas, se parir uma femea, será immunda duas semanas, como na sua separação: depois ficará sessenta e seis dias no sangue da sua purificação.

But if she bear a female child, then shall she be unclean two weeks as in her separation; and sixty and six days shall she continue in the blood of the purification.

6 E, quando forem cumpridos os dias da sua purificação por filho ou por filha, trará um cordeiro d'um anno por holocausto, e um pombinho ou uma rola para expiação do peccado, diante da porta da tenda da congregação, ao sacerdote,

And at the completion of the days of her purification, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a sheep of the first year for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest.

7 O qual o offerecerá perante o Senhor, e por ella fará propiciação; e será limpa do fluxo do seu sangue: esta é a lei da que parir macho ou femea

And he shall bring it near before the Lord, and make an atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood: this is the law for her that hath given birth to a male or to a female.

8 Mas, se a sua mão não alcançar assaz para um cordeiro, então tomará duas rolas, ou dois pombinhos, um para o holocausto e outro para a propiciação do peccado: assim o sacerdote por ella fará expiação, e será limpa.

And if her means will not suffice for a lamb, then shall she take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
