Josué 19
1 E saiu a segunda sorte por Simeão, pela tribu dos filhos de Simeão, segundo as suas familias: e foi a sua herança no meio da herança dos filhos de Judah.
The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 E tiveram na sua herança: Beer-seba, e Seba, e Molada,
Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,
3 E Hassar-sual, e Bala, e Asem,
Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 E Eltholad, e Bethul, e Horma,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 E Siklag, e Beth-hammarcaboth, e Hassar-susa,
Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,
6 E Beth-lebaoth, e Saruhen: treze cidades e as suas aldeias.
Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.
7 Ain, e Rimmon, e Ether, e Asan: quatro cidades e as suas aldeias.
The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.
8 E todas as aldeias que havia em redor d'estas cidades, até Baalath-beer, que é Ramath do sul: esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos de Simeão, segundo as suas familias.
They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
9 A herança dos filhos de Simeão está entre o quinhão dos de Judah; porquanto a herança dos filhos de Judah era demasiadamente grande para elles: pelo que os filhos de Simeão tiveram a sua herança no meio d'elles.
The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.
10 E saiu a terceira sorte pelos filhos de Zebulon, segundo as suas familias: e foi o termo da sua herança até Sarid.
The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].
11 E sobe o seu termo pelo occidente a Marala, e chega até Dabbeseth: chega tambem até ao ribeiro que está defronte de Jokneam.
It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].
12 E de Sarid volta para o oriente, para o nascente do sol, até ao termo de Chisloth-tabor, e sae a Dobrath, e vae subindo a Japhia.
The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].
13 E d'ali passa pelo oriente para o nascente, a Gath-hepher, em Ethcasin; e sae a Rimmon-methoar, que é Nea.
From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].
14 E torna este termo para o norte a Hannathon: e as suas saidas são o valle de Iphtah-el,
From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.
15 E Cattath, e Nahalal, e Simron, e Idala, e Beth-lehem: doze cidades e as suas aldeias.
Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.
16 Esta é a herança dos filhos de Zebulon, segundo as suas familias: estas cidades e as suas aldeias.
That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 A quarta sorte saiu por Issacar: pelos filhos d'Issacar, segundo as suas familias.
The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.
18 E foi o seu termo Jezreela, e Chesulloth, e Sunem,
Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 E Hapharaim. e Sion, e Anacarath,
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 E Rabbith, e Kision, e Ebes,
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 E Remeth, e En-gannim, e En-hadda, e Beth-patses.
Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.
22 E chega este termo até Tabor, e Sahasima, e Beth-semes; e as saidas do seu termo estão para o Jordão: deze-seis cidades e as suas aldeias.
The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.
23 Esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos d'Issacar, segundo as suas familias: estas cidades e as suas aldeias.
Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.
24 E saiu a quinta sorte pela tribu dos filhos d'Aser, segundo as suas familias.
The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
25 E foi o seu termo Helkath, e Hali, e Beten, e Acsaph,
Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 E Alammelech, e Amad, e Misal: e chega a Carmel para o occidente, e a Sihor-libnath;
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.
27 E volta do nascente do sol a Beth-dagon, e chega a Zebulon e ao valle de Iphtah-el, ao norte de Beth-emek e de Neiel, e vem sair a Cabul pela esquerda,
From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].
28 E Ebron, e Rehob, e Hammon, e Cana, até á grande Sidon.
From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.
29 E volta este termo a Rama, e até á forte cidade de Tyro: então torna este termo a Hosa, e as suas saidas estão para o mar, desde o quinhão da terra até Achzib;
From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,
30 E Uma, e Aphek, e Rechob: vinte e duas cidades e as suas aldeias.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.
31 Esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos d'Aser, segundo as suas familias: estas cidades e as suas aldeias.
Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.
32 E saiu a sexta sorte pelos filhos de Naphtali; para os filhos de Naphtali, segundo as suas familias.
The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
33 E foi o seu termo desde Heleph e desde Allon em Saanannim, e Adami, Nekeb, e Jabneel, até Lakum: e estão as suas saidas no Jordão.
The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].
34 E volta este termo pelo occidente a Azmoth-tabor, e d'ali passa a Huccok: e chega a Zebulon para o sul, e chega a Aser para o occidente, e a Judah pelo Jordão, para o nascente do sol.
The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.
35 E são as cidades fortes: Siddim, Ser, e Hammath, Raccath, e Chinnereth,
[Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
36 E Adama, e Rama, e Hasor,
Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 E Kedes, e Edrei, e En-hazor,
Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,
38 E Iron, e Migdal-el, Horem, e Beth-anath, e Beth-semes: dezenove cidades e as suas aldeias.
Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.
39 Esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos de Naphtali, segundo as suas familias: estas cidades e as suas aldeias.
Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.
40 A setima sorte saiu pela tribu dos filhos de Dan, segundo as suas familias.
The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
41 E foi o termo da sua herança, Sora, e Estaol, e Ir-semes,
Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,
42 E Saalabbin, e Ayalon, e Ithla,
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 E Elon, e Timnath, e Ekron,
Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 E Elteke, e Gibthon, e Baalath,
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 E Jehud, e Bene-berak, e Gath-rimmon,
Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,
46 E Me-jarcom, e Raccon: com o termo defronte de Japho:
Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.
47 Saiu porém pequeno o termo aos filhos de Dan: pelo que subiram os filhos de Dan, e pelejaram contra Lesem, e a tomaram, e a feriram ao fio da espada, e a possuiram e habitaram n'ella, e a Lesem chamaram Dan, conforme ao nome de Dan seu pae.
But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.
48 Esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos de Dan, segundo as suas familias; estas cidades e as suas aldeias.
All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.
49 Acabando pois de repartir a terra em herança segundo os seus termos, deram os filhos d'Israel a Josué, filho de Nun, herança no meio d'elles.
After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.
50 Segundo o dito do Senhor lhe deram a cidade que pediu, a Timnath-serah, na montanha de Ephraim: e reedificou aquella cidade, e habitou n'ella.
They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.
51 Estas são as heranças que Eleazar o sacerdote, e Josué filho de Nun, e os Cabeças dos paes das familias por sorte em herança repartiram ás tribus dos filhos d'Israel em Silo, perante o Senhor, á porta da tenda da congregação. E assim acabaram de repartir a terra.
Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.
