João 15
1 Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pae é o lavrador.
“I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser;
2 Toda a vara em mim, que não dá fructo, a tira; e alimpa toda o que dá fructo, para que dê mais fructo.
every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away, and everyone bearing fruit, He cleanses by pruning it, that it may bear more fruit;
3 Vós já estaes limpos, pela palavra que vos tenho fallado.
you are already clean, because of the word that I have spoken to you;
4 Estae em mim, e eu em vós: como a vara de si mesma não pode dar fructo, se não estiver na videira, assim nem vós, se não estiverdes em mim.
remain in Me, and I in you, as the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, if it may not remain in the vine, so neither you, if you may not remain in Me.
5 Eu sou a videira, vós as varas: quem está em mim, e eu n'elle, esse dá muito fructo; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.
I AM the vine, you the branches; he who is remaining in Me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit, because apart from Me you are not able to do anything;
6 Se alguem não estiver em mim, será lançado fóra, como a vara, e seccará; e os colhem, e os lançam no fogo, e ardem
if anyone may not remain in Me, he was cast forth outside as the branch, and was withered, and they gather them, and cast into fire, and they are burned;
7 Se vós estiverdes em mim, e as minhas palavras estiverem em vós, pedireis tudo o que quizerdes, e vos será feito.
if you may remain in Me, and My sayings may remain in you, whatever you may wish you will ask, and it will be done to you.
8 N'isto é glorificado meu Pae, que deis muito fructo; e assim sereis meus discipulos.
In this was My Father glorified, that you may bear much fruit, and you will become My disciples.
9 Como o Pae me amou, tambem eu vos amei a vós; permanecei n'este meu amor.
According as the Father loved Me, I also loved you, remain in My love;
10 Se guardardes os meus mandamentos, permanecereis no meu amor; como eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pae, e permaneço no seu amor.
if you may keep My commands, you will remain in My love, according as I have kept the commands of My Father, and remain in His love;
11 Tenho-vos dito estas coisas, para que o meu gozo permaneça em vós, e o vosso gozo seja cumprido.
these things I have spoken to you, that My joy in you may remain, and your joy may be full.
12 O meu mandamento é este: Que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.
This is My command, that you love one another, according as I loved you;
13 Ninguem tem maior amor do que este: de dar alguem a sua vida pelos seus amigos.
greater love has no one than this, that anyone may lay down his life for his friends;
14 Vós sereis meus amigos, se fizerdes o que eu vos mando.
you are My friends if you may do whatever I command you;
15 Já vos não chamarei servos, porque o servo não sabe o que faz o seu senhor, mas tenho-vos chamado amigos, porque tudo quanto ouvi de meu Pae vos tenho feito conhecer.
I no longer call you servants, because the servant has not known what his lord does, and I have called you friends, because all things that I heard from My Father, I made known to you.
16 Não me escolhestes vós a mim, porém eu vos escolhi a vós, e vos constitui, para que vades e deis fructo, e o vosso fructo permaneça; para que tudo quanto em meu nome pedirdes ao Pae elle vol-o conceda.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you might go away, and might bear fruit, and your fruit might remain, that whatever you may ask of the Father in My Name, He may give you.
17 Isto vos mando: que vos ameis uns aos outros.
These things I command you, that you love one another;
18 Se o mundo vos aborrece, sabei que, primeiro do que a vós, me aborreceu a mim.
if the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you;
19 Se vós fosseis do mundo, o mundo amaria o que era seu, mas, porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso o mundo vos aborrece.
if you were of the world, the world would have been cherishing its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose [you] out of the world—because of this the world hates you.
20 Lembrae-vos da palavra que vos disse: Não é o servo maior do que o seu senhor. Se a mim me perseguiram, tambem vos perseguirão a vós; se guardaram a minha palavra, tambem guardarão a vossa.
Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his lord; if they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will also keep yours;
21 Mas tudo isto vos farão por causa do meu nome; porque não conhecem aquelle que me enviou.
but all these things will they do to you, because of My Name, because they have not known Him who sent Me;
22 Se eu não viera, nem lhes houvera fallado, não teriam peccado, mas agora não teem desculpa do seu peccado.
if I had not come and spoken to them, they were not having sin; but now they have no pretext for their sin.
23 Aquelle que me aborrece aborrece tambem a meu Pae.
He who is hating Me, hates My Father also;
24 Se eu entre elles não fizesse obras, quaes nenhum outro tem feito, não teriam peccado; mas agora, viram-n'as e me aborreceram a mim e a meu Pae.
if I did not do among them the works that no other has done, they were not having sin, and now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father;
25 Mas isto é para que se cumpra a palavra que está escripta na sua lei: Aborreceram-me sem causa.
but—that the word may be fulfilled that was written in their law—They hated Me without a cause.
26 Mas, quando vier o Consolador, que eu da parte do Pae vos hei de enviar, a saber, aquelle Espirito de verdade, que procede do Pae, elle testificará de mim.
And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth, who comes forth from the Father, He will testify of Me;
27 E vós tambem testificareis, pois estivestes comigo desde o principio.
and you also testify, because you are with Me from the beginning.”
