Jó 10
1 A minha alma tem tedio á minha vida: darei livre curso á minha queixa, fallarei na amargura da minha alma.
“My soul has been weary of my life, I leave off my talking to myself, I speak in the bitterness of my soul.
2 Direi a Deus: Não me condemnes: faze-me saber porque contendes comigo.
I say to God, Do not condemn me, Let me know why You strive [with] me.
3 Parece-te bem que me opprimas? que rejeites o trabalho das tuas mãos? e resplandeças sobre o conselho dos impios?
Is it good for You that You oppress? That You despise the labor of Your hands, And shine on the counsel of the wicked?
4 Tens tu porventura olhos de carne? vês tu como vê o homem?
Do you have eyes of flesh? Do You see as man sees?
5 São os teus dias como os dias do homem? Ou são os teus annos como os annos de um homem,
[Are] Your days as the days of man? Your years as the days of a man?
6 Para te informares da minha iniquidade, e averiguares o meu peccado?
That You inquire for my iniquity, And seek for my sin?
7 Bem sabes tu que eu não sou impio: todavia ninguem ha que me livre da tua mão.
For You know that I am not wicked, And there is no deliverer from Your hand.
8 As tuas mãos me fizeram e me formaram todo em roda; comtudo me consomes.
Your hands have taken pains about me, And they make me together all around, And You swallow me up!
9 Peço-te que te lembres de que como barro me formaste e me farás tornar em pó.
Please remember That You have made me as clay, And You bring me back to dust.
10 Porventura não me vasaste como leite, e como queijo me não coalhaste?
Do You not pour me out as milk? And curdle me as cheese?
11 De pelle e carne me vestiste, e com ossos e nervos me ligaste.
Skin and flesh You put on me, And fence me with bones and sinews.
12 Vida e beneficencia me fizeste: e o teu cuidado guardou o meu espirito.
Life and kindness You have done with me. And Your inspection has preserved my spirit.
13 Porém estas coisas as occultaste no teu coração: bem sei eu que isto esteve comtigo.
And these You have laid up in Your heart, I have known that this [is] with You.
14 Se eu peccar, tu me observas; e da minha iniquidade não me escusarás.
If I sinned, then You have observed me, And do not acquit me from my iniquity,
15 Se fôr impio, ai de mim! e se fôr justo, não levantarei a minha cabeça: farto estou de affronta; e olho para a minha miseria.
If I have done wickedly—woe to me, And righteously—I do not lift up my head, Full of shame—then see my affliction,
16 Porque se vae crescendo; tu me caças como a um leão feroz: tornas-te, e fazes maravilhas contra mim.
And it rises—as a lion You hunt me. And You turn back—You show Yourself wonderful in me.
17 Tu renovas contra mim as tuas testemunhas, e multiplicas contra mim a tua ira; revezes e combate estão comigo.
You renew Your witnesses against me, and multiply Your anger with me, Changes and warfare [are] with me.
18 Por quepois me tiraste da madre? Ah se então dera o espirito, e olhos nenhuns me vissem!
And why from the womb Have You brought me forth? I expire, and the eye does not see me.
19 Que tivera sido como se nunca fôra: e desde o ventre fôra levado á sepultura!
I am as [if] I had not been, I am brought from the belly to the grave,
20 Porventura não são poucos os meus dias? cessa pois, e deixa-me, para que por um pouco eu tome alento;
Are my days not few? Cease then, and put from me, And I brighten up a little,
21 Antes que vá e d'onde nunca torne, á terra da escuridão e da sombra da morte;
Before I go, and do not return, To a land of darkness and death-shade,
22 Terra escurissima, como a mesma escuridão, terra da sombra, da morte e sem ordem alguma e onde a luz é como a escuridão.
A land of obscurity as thick darkness, Death-shade—and no order, And the shining [is] as thick darkness.”
