Jeremias 49
1 Contra os filhos de Ammon. Assim diz o Senhor: Acaso não tem filhos Israel, nem tem herdeiro? porque pois herdou Malcam a Gad e o seu povo habitou nas suas cidades?
Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why [then] doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?
2 Portanto, eis que veem dias, diz o Senhor, em que farei ouvir em Rabba dos filhos de Ammon o alarido de guerra, e tornar-se-ha n'um montão de assolação, e os logares da sua jurisdicção serão queimados a fogo; e Israel herdará aos que o herdaram, diz o Senhor
Therefore behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir to them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
3 Uiva, ó Hesbon, porque já é destruida Ai; clamae, ó filhas de Rabba, cingi-vos de saccos, lamentae, e rodeae pelos vallados; porque Malcam irá em captiveiro, os seus sacerdotes e os seus principes juntamente.
Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, [and] his priests and his princes together.
4 Porque te glorias dos valles, já se escorreu o teu valle, ó filha rebelde que confias nos teus thesouros, dizendo: Quem virá contra mim?
Why gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, [saying], Who shall come to me?
5 Eis que eu trarei temor sobre ti, diz o Senhor Jehovah dos Exercitos, de todos os que estão ao redor de ti; e sereis lançados fóra cada um diante de si, e ninguem recolherá o desgarrado.
Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that are about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
6 Mas depois d'isto farei voltar os captivos dos filhos de Ammon, diz o Senhor.
And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.
7 Contra Edom. Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Acaso já não ha mais sabedoria em Teman? já pereceu o conselho dos entendidos? corrompeu-se a sua sabedoria?
Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; [Is] wisdom no more in Teman? hath counsel perished from the prudent? hath their wisdom vanished?
8 Fugi, virae-vos, buscae profundezas para habitar, ó moradores de Dedan, porque eu trouxe sobre elle a ruina de Esaú, no tempo em que o visitei.
Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time [that] I will visit him.
9 Se vindimadores viessem a ti, não deixariam rabiscos? se ladrões de noite viessem, não te damnificariam quanto lhes é sufficiente?
If grape-gatherers come to thee, would they not leave [some] gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
10 Mas eu despi a Esaú, descobri os seus esconderijos, e não se poderá esconder: é destruida a sua semente, como tambem seus irmãos e seus visinhos, e já elle não é
But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is laid waste, and his brethren, and his neighbors, and he [is] not.
11 Deixa os teus orphãos: eu os guardarei em vida; e as tuas viuvas confiar-se-hão em mim.
Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve [them] alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
12 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que os que não estavam condemnados a beberem o copo totalmente o beberão; e tu mesmo totalmente serias absolto? não serás absolto, mas totalmente o beberás.
For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment [was] not to drink of the cup have assuredly drank; and [art] thou he [that] shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink [of it].
13 Porque por mim mesmo jurei, diz o Senhor, que Bozra servirá de espanto, de opprobrio, de assolação, e de execração; e todas as suas cidades se tornarão em assolações perpetuas.
For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all her cities shall be perpetual wastes.
14 Ouvi um rumor vindo do Senhor, que um embaixador é enviado ás nações, para lhes dizer: Ajuntae-vos, e vinde contra ella, e levantae-vos para a guerra.
I have heard a rumor from the LORD, and an embassador is sent to the heathen, [saying], Assemble, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15 Porque eis que te fiz pequeno entre as nações, desprezado entre os homens.
For lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, [and] despised among men.
16 A tua terribilidade te enganou, e a arrogancia do teu coração, tu que habitas nas cavernas das rochas, que occupas as alturas dos outeiros; ainda que alces o teu ninho como a aguia, de lá te derribarei, diz o Senhor.
Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, [and] the pride of thy heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the hight of the hill: though thou shouldst make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.
17 Assim servirá Edom de espanto: todo aquelle que passar por ella se espantará, e assobiará por causa de todas as suas pragas.
Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all her plagues.
18 Será como a destruição de Sodoma e Gomorrah, e dos seus visinhos, diz o Senhor: não habitará ninguem ali, nem morará n'ella filho de homem
As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring [cities], saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
19 Eis que elle como leão subirá da enchente do Jordão contra a morada do forte; porque n'um momento o farei correr d'ali; e quem é o escolhido que porei sobre ella? porque quem é similhante a mim? e quem me emprazaria? e quem é o pastor que subsistiria perante mim?
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who [is] a chosen [man], [that] I may appoint over her? for who [is] like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who [is] that shepherd that will stand before me?
20 Portanto ouvi o conselho do Senhor, que decretou contra Edom, e os seus designios que intentou entre os moradores de Teman: certamente os mais pequenos do rebanho os arrastarão: certamente assolará as suas moradas sobre elles.
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
21 A terra estremeceu do estrondo da sua queda: tocante ao grito, até ao Mar Vermelho se ouviu o sonido.
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise of it was heard in the Red sea.
22 Eis que elle como aguia subirá, e voará, e estenderá as suas azas sobre Bozra: e será o coração dos valentes de Edom n'aquelle dia como o coração da mulher que está com dôres de parto.
Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
23 Contra Damasco. Envergonhou-se Hamath e Arpad, porquanto ouviram más novas, se desmaiaram: no mar ha angustia, não se pode socegar.
Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are faint-hearted; [there is] sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
24 Enfraquecida está Damasco; virou as costas para fugir, e tremor a tomou: angustia e dôres a tomaram como da que está de parto.
Damascus hath become feeble, [and] turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on [her]: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.
25 Como não é deixada a afamada cidade? a cidade de meu folguedo?
How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
26 Portanto cairão os seus mancebos nas suas ruas; e todos os homens de guerra serão consumidos n'aquelle dia, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos.
Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.
27 E accenderei fogo ao muro de Damasco, e consumirá os palacios de Benhadad.
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-hadad.
28 Contra Kedar, e contra os reinos de Hazor, que Nabucodonozor, rei de Babylonia, feriu. Assim diz o Senhor: Levantae-vos, subi contra Kedar, e destrui os filhos do oriente.
Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and lay waste the men of the east.
29 Tomarão as suas tendas, e os seus gados, as suas cortinas e todos os seus vasos, e os seus camelos levarão para si; e lhes clamarão: Ha medo de todos os lados.
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry to them, Fear [is] on every side.
30 Fugi, desviae-vos para mui longe, buscae profundezas para habitar, ó moradores de Azor, diz o Senhor: porque Nabucodonozor, rei de Babylonia, tomou conselho contra vós, e intentou um designio contra vós.
Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
31 Levantae-vos, subi contra uma nação em repouso, que habita confiadamente, diz o Senhor, que não tem portas, nem ferrolho; habitam sós.
Arise, go up to the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, [which] dwell alone.
32 E os seus camelos serão para preza, e a multidão dos seus gados para despojo: e os espalharei a todo o vento, áquelles que moram nos ultimos cantos da terra, e de todos os seus lados lhes trarei a sua ruina, diz o Senhor.
And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter into all winds them [that are] in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calamity from all sides of it, saith the LORD.
33 E Hazor se tornará em morada de dragões, em assolação para sempre: ninguem habitará ali, nem morará n'ella filho de homem
And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, [and] a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor [any] son of man dwell in it.
34 A palavra do Senhor, que veiu a Jeremias, o propheta, contra Elam, no principio do reinado de Zedekias, rei de Judah, dizendo:
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,
35 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Eis que eu quebrarei o arco de Elam, o principal do seu poder.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
36 E trarei sobre Elam os quatro ventos dos quatro cantos dos céus, e os espalharei por todos estes ventos; e não haverá nação aonde não venham os fugitivos de Elam.
And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them towards all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
37 E atemorizarei a Elam diante de seus inimigos e diante dos que procuram a sua morte; e farei vir sobre elles o mal, o furor da minha ira, diz o Senhor; e enviarei após elles a espada; até que venha a consumil-os.
For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, [even] my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:
38 E porei o meu throno em Elam: e destruirei d'ali o rei e os principes, diz o Senhor.
And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.
39 Será, porém, no ultimo dos dias que farei voltar os captivos de Elam, diz o Senhor.
But it shall come to pass in the latter days, [that] I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.
