Jeremias 48
1 Contra Moab assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, Deus de Israel: Ai de Nebo, porque foi destruida: envergonhada está Kiriathaim, já é tomada: Misgab está envergonhada e espantada.
Concerning Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled; Kirjathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and dismayed.
2 Já não ha mais gloriação de Moab ácerca de Hesbon; pensaram mal contra ella, dizendo: Vinde, e desarreiguemol-a, para que não seja mais povo; tambem tu, ó Madmen, serás desarreigada; a espada te irá seguindo
Moab's praise is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from [being] a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be cut down; the sword shall pursue thee.
3 Voz de grito de Horonaim: ruina e grande destruição.
A voice of crying from Horonaim; wasting and great destruction!
4 Já está destruida Moab: seus filhinhos fizeram-se ouvir com gritos.
Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
5 Porque na subida de Luhith subirá choro sobre choro; porque na descida de Horonaim os adversarios de Moab ouviram um lastimoso clamor.
For by the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim is heard the anguish of the cry of destruction.
6 Fugi, salvae a vossa vida, e sereis como a tamargueira no deserto.
Flee, save your lives, and be like a shrub in the wilderness.
7 Porque, por causa da tua confiança nas tuas obras, e nos teus thesouros, tambem tu serás tomada; e Camos sairá para o captiveiro, os seus sacerdotes e os seus principes juntos.
For because thou hast confided in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken, and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
8 Porque virá o destruidor sobre cada uma das cidades, e nenhuma escapará, e perecerá o valle, e destruir-se-ha a campina; porque o Senhor o disse.
And the waster shall come upon every city, that not a city shall escape; and the valley shall perish, and the plateau shall be destroyed: as Jehovah hath said.
9 Dae azas a Moab; porque voando sairá, e as suas cidades se tornarão em assolação, e ninguem morará n'ellas.
Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; and the cities thereof shall become a desolation, without inhabitant.
10 Maldito aquelle que fizer a obra do Senhor fraudulosamente: e maldito aquelle que veda a sua espada do sangue.
Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah negligently, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood!
11 Moab esteve descançado desde a sua mocidade, e repousou nas suas fezes, e não foi trafegado de vaso em vaso, nem foi para o captiveiro; por isso permaneceu o seu sabor n'elle, e o seu cheiro não mudou.
Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and hath settled on his lees; he hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste hath remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
12 Portanto, eis que dias veem, diz o Senhor, em que lhe enviarei andantes, que o farão andar a grandes passos; e despejarão os seus vasos, e romperão os seus odres.
Therefore behold, days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him pourers that shall pour him off, and shall empty his vessels, and break in pieces his flagons.
13 E Moab terá vergonha de Camos, como se envergonhou a casa de Israel de Beth-el, sua confiança.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.
14 Como direis, pois: Valentes somos e homens fortes para a guerra?
How do ye say, We are mighty, and men of valour for the war?
15 Já está destruido Moab, e subiu das suas cidades, e os seus mancebos escolhidos desceram á matança, diz o rei, cujo nome é o Senhor dos Exercitos.
Moab is laid waste, and his cities are gone up [in smoke], and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.
16 Já é chegada a vinda da perdição de Moab; e apressura-se muito o seu mal
The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
17 Condoei-vos d'elle todos os que estaes em redor d'elle, e todos os que sabeis o seu nome: dizei: Como se quebrou a vara forte, o cajado formoso?
All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!
18 Desce da tua gloria, e assenta-te em secco, ó moradora, filha de Dibon; porque já o destruidor de Moab subiu contra ti, e já desfez as tuas fortalezas.
Come down from [thy] glory and sit in the drought, O inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; the spoiler of Moab is come up against thee, thy strongholds hath he destroyed.
19 Põe-te no caminho, e espia, ó moradora de Aroer: pergunta ao que vae fugindo; e á que escapou dize: Que succedeu?
Stand by the way, and watch, inhabitress of Aroer; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What is done?
20 Moab está envergonhado, porque foi quebrantado; uivae e gritae: annunciae em Arnon que já Moab está destruido.
Moab is put to shame; for he is broken down: howl and cry; tell it in Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
21 Tambem o juizo veiu sobre a terra da campina: sobre Holon, e sobre Jaza, e sobre Mephaat,
And judgment is come upon the country of the plateau; upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath;
22 E sobre Dibon, e sobre Nebo, e sobre Beth-diblataim,
and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim;
23 E sobre Kiriathaim, e sobre Beth-gamul, e sobre Beth-meon,
and upon Kirjathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon;
24 E sobre Kerioth, e sobre Bozra; e até sobre todas as cidades da terra de Moab, as de longe e as de perto.
and upon Kerijoth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far and near.
25 Já é cortado o corno de Moab, e é quebrantado o seu braço, diz o Senhor.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.
26 Embriagae-o, porque contra o Senhor se engrandeceu; e Moab se revolverá no seu vomito, e elle tambem será por escarneo.
Make him drunken, for he magnified himself against Jehovah; and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 Porque não te foi tambem Israel por escarneo? porventura foi achado entre ladrões, porque desde que fallas d'elle te ris?
For was not Israel a derision unto thee? Was he found among thieves, that as oft as thou didst speak of him, thou didst shake the head?
28 Deixae as cidades, e habitae no rochedo, ó moradores de Moab; e sêde como a pomba que se aninha nas extremidades da bocca da caverna.
Leave the cities, and dwell in the rocks, ye inhabitants of Moab, and be like the dove, that maketh her nest in the sides of the cave's mouth.
29 Já ouvimos a soberba de Moab, que é soberbissimo, como tambem a sua arrogancia, e a sua soberba, e sua altivez e a altura do seu coração.
We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, — [he is] very proud; — his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 Eu conheço, diz o Senhor, a sua indignação, porém assim não será: as suas mentiras não o farão assim.
I know his wrath, saith Jehovah; his pratings are vain: they do not as [they say].
31 Por isso uivarei por Moab, e gritarei por todo o Moab: pelos homens de Kir-heres gemerão.
Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir-heres shall there be moaning.
32 Com o choro de Jaezar chorar-te-hei, ó vide de Sibma; já os teus ramos passaram o mar, e chegaram até ao mar de Jaezer; porém o destruidor caiu sobre os fructos do teu verão, e sobre a tua vindima.
O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with more than the weeping of Jaazer: thy shoots passed over the sea, they reached to the sea of Jaazer. The spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
33 Tirou-se pois o folguedo e a alegria do campo fertil e da terra de Moab; porque fiz cessar o vinho dos lagares: já não pisarão uvas com jubilo: o jubilo não será jubilo.
And joy and gladness is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: they shall no more tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.
34 Por causa do grito de Hesbon até Eleale e até Jahaz, deram a sua voz desde Zoar, até Horonaim, como bezerra de tres annos; porque até as aguas do Nimrim se tornarão em assolações.
Because of the cry from Heshbon, unto Elaleh, unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar unto Horonaim, [unto] Eglath-shelishijah: for even the waters of Nimrim shall become desolations.
35 E farei cessar em Moab, diz o Senhor, quem sacrifique no alto, e queime incenso aos seus deuses.
And I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the high place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 Por isso resoará o meu coração por Moab como frautas; tambem resoará o meu coração pelos homens de Kir-heres como frautas; porquanto a abundancia que ajuntou se perdeu.
Therefore my heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and my heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres; because the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.
37 Porque toda a cabeça será calva, e toda a barba será diminuida; sobre todas as mãos ha sarjaduras, e sobre os lombos saccos.
For every head is bald, and every beard clipped; upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 Sobre todos os telhados de Moab e nas suas ruas haverá um pranto geral; porque quebrantei a Moab, como a um vaso que não agrada, diz o Senhor.
It is wholly lamentation upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the public places thereof; for I have broken Moab, like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith Jehovah.
39 Como foi quebrantado? uivam: como virou Moab as costas e se envergonhou? assim será Moab objecto de escarneo e de espanto a todos os que estão em redor d'elle.
They howl, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! And Moab shall be a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.
40 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que voará como a aguia, e estenderá as suas azas sobre Moab.
For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread forth his wings over Moab.
41 Já são tomadas as cidades, e occupadas as fortalezas: e será o coração dos valentes de Moab n'aquelle dia como o coração da mulher que está com dôres de parto
Kerijoth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and at that day the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 E Moab será destruido, para que não seja povo; porque se engrandeceu contra o Senhor.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah.
43 Temor, e cova, e laço, veem sobre ti, ó morador de Moab, diz o Senhor.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.
44 O que fugir do temor cairá na cova, e o que subir da cova ficará preso no laço; porque trarei sobre elle, sobre Moab, o anno da sua visitação, diz o Senhor.
He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon her, upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.
45 Os que fugiam da força pararam á sombra de Hesbon; porém fogo saiu de Hesbon, e a labareda do meio de Sihon, e devorou o canto de Moab e a mioleira dos filhos de arroido.
They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon powerless; for a fire hath come forth from Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath consumed the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the sons of tumult.
46 Ai de ti, Moab; já pereceu o povo de Camos; porque teus filhos foram levados em captiveiro, como tambem tuas filhas em captividade.
Woe to thee, Moab! The people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away in captivity, and thy daughters are captives.
47 Porém farei voltar os captivos de Moab no ultimo dos dias, diz o Senhor. Até aqui o juizo de Moab.
But I will turn the captivity of Moab at the end of the days, saith Jehovah. Thus far is the judgement of Moab.
