Jeremias 32
1 A palavra que veiu a Jeremias da parte do Senhor, no anno decimo de Zedekias, rei de Judah; este anno foi o anno dezoito de Nabucodonozor
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
2 (Cercava, porém, então o exercito do rei de Babylonia a Jerusalem; e Jeremias, o propheta, estava encerrado no pateo da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judah;
At that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard, which was in the palace of the king of Judah.
3 Porque Zedekias, rei de Judah, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Porque prophetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de Babylonia, e elle a tomará;
For Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying: “Why are you prophesying like this? You claim that the LORD says, ‘Behold, I am about to deliver this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.
4 E Zedekias, rei de Judah, não escapará das mãos dos chaldeos; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de Babylonia, e com elle fallará bocca a bocca, e os seus olhos verão os d'elle
Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape from the hands of the Chaldeans, but he will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.
5 E levará Zedekias para Babylonia, e ali estará, até que eu visite, diz o Senhor, e, ainda que pelejeis contra os chaldeos, não ganhareis?)
He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will stay until I attend to him, declares the LORD. If you fight against the Chaldeans, you will not succeed.’”
6 Disse pois Jeremias: Veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
Jeremiah replied, “The word of the LORD came to me, saying:
7 Eis que Hanameel, filho de Sallum, teu tio, virá a ti, dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anathot, pois tens o direito de resgate para compral-a.
Behold! Hanamel, the son of your uncle Shallum, is coming to you to say, ‘Buy for yourself my field in Anathoth, for you have the right of redemption to buy it.’
8 Veiu pois a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do Senhor, ao pateo da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anathot, que está na terra de Benjamin; porque tens o direito hereditario, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do Senhor.
Then, as the LORD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of the guard and urged me, ‘Please buy my field in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for you own the right of inheritance and redemption. Buy it for yourself.’” Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
9 Comprei pois a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anathot; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezesete siclos de prata.
So I bought the field in Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel, and I weighed out seventeen shekels of silver.
10 E subscrevi o auto, e sellei-o, e o fiz testificar por testemunhas: e pesei-lhe o dinheiro n'uma balança.
I signed and sealed the deed, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales.
11 E tomei o auto da compra, tanto o sellado, conforme o mandado e os estatutos, como o aberto.
Then I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy with its terms and conditions, as well as the open copy—
12 E dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaseias, perante os olhos de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, e perante os olhos das testemunhas, que subscreveram o conhecimento da compra, e perante os olhos de todos os judeos que se assentavam no pateo da guarda.
and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of my cousin Hanamel and the witnesses who were signing the purchase agreement and all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.
13 E dei ordem a Baruch, perante os olhos d'elles, dizendo:
In their sight I instructed Baruch,
14 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estes autos, este auto de compra, tanto o sellado, como o aberto, e mette-os n'um vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias,
“This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Take these deeds—both the sealed copy and the open copy of the deed of purchase—and put them in a clay jar to preserve them for a long time.
15 Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas n'esta terra.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields, and vineyards will again be bought in this land.”
16 E depois que dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, orei ao Senhor, dizendo:
After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD:
17 Ah Senhor Jehovah! eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com a tua grande potencia, e com o teu braço estendido: não te é maravilhosa coisa alguma:
“Oh, Lord GOD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for You!
18 Que usas de benignidade com milhares, e rendes a maldade dos paes no seio dos filhos depois d'elles: o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o Senhor dos Exercitos:
You show loving devotion to thousands but lay the iniquity of the fathers into the laps of their children after them, O great and mighty God whose name is the LORD of Hosts,
19 Grande em conselho, e magnifico em feito; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fructo das suas obras:
the One great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are on all the ways of the sons of men, to reward each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.
20 Que pozeste signaes e maravilhas na terra do Egypto até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, qual tu tens n'este dia.
You performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and You do so to this very day, both in Israel and among all mankind. And You have made a name for Yourself, as is the case to this day.
21 E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egypto, com signaes e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto,
You brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.
22 E lhes déste esta terra, que juraste a seus paes que lhes havias de dar: terra que mana leite e mel.
You gave them this land that You had sworn to give their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
23 E entraram n'ella, e a possuiram, porém não obedeceram á tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, elles não o fizeram; pelo que fizeste que lhes succedesse todo este mal
They came in and possessed it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law. They failed to perform all that You commanded them to do, and so You have brought upon them all this disaster.
24 Eis aqui os vallados! já vieram contra a cidade para tomal-a, e a cidade está dada na mão dos chaldeos, que pelejam contra ella, por causa da espada, e da fome, e da pestilencia; e o que fallaste se ez, e eis aqui o estás presenciando.
See how the siege ramps are mounted against the city to capture it. And by sword and famine and plague, the city has been given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What You have spoken has happened, as You now see!
25 Comtudo tu me disseste, Senhor Jehovah: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o testifiquem testemunhas, posto que a cidade esteja já dada na mão dos chaldeos.
Yet You, O Lord GOD, have said to me, ‘Buy for yourself the field with silver and call in witnesses, even though the city has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans!’”
26 Então veiu a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:
Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
27 Eis que eu sou o Senhor Deus de toda a carne: porventura ser-me-hia coisa alguma maravilhosa?
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me?
28 Portanto assim diz o Senhor: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos chaldeos, e na mão de Nabucodonozor, rei de Babylonia, e tomal-a-ha.
Therefore this is what the LORD says: Behold, I am about to deliver this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it.
29 E os chaldeos, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão n'ella, porão fogo a esta cidade, e queimarão juntamente as casas sobre cujos terraços queimarão incenso a Baal e offerecerão libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem á ira.
And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will come in, set it on fire, and burn it, along with the houses of those who provoked Me to anger by burning incense to Baal on their rooftops and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.
30 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judah não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel sómente me provocaram á ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o Senhor.
For the children of Israel and of Judah have done nothing but evil in My sight from their youth; indeed, they have done nothing but provoke Me to anger by the work of their hands, declares the LORD.
31 Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me foi esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha face;
For this city has aroused My wrath and fury from the day it was built until now. Therefore I will remove it from My presence
32 Por toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judah, que fizeram, para me provocarem á ira, assim elle como os seus reis, os seus principes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus prophetas, como tambem os homens de Judah e os moradores de Jerusalem.
because of all the evil the children of Israel and of Judah have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their kings, their officials, their priests and prophets, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem.
33 E me viraram as costas, e não o rosto: ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, comtudo elles não ouviram, para receberem o ensino.
They have turned their backs to Me and not their faces. Though I taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline.
34 Antes pozeram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem.
They have placed their abominations in the house that bears My Name, and so have defiled it.
35 E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no valle do filho de Hinnom, para fazerem que seus filhos e suas filhas passassem pelo fogo a Moloch; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem subiu ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação; para fazerem peccar a Judah.
They have built the high places of Baal in the Valley of Hinnom to make their sons and daughters pass through the fire to Molech—something I never commanded them, nor had it ever entered My mind, that they should commit such an abomination and cause Judah to sin.
36 E por isso agora assim diz o Senhor o Deus de Israel, ácerca d'esta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de Babylonia, á espada, e á fome, e á pestilencia:
Now therefore, about this city of which you say, ‘It will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword and famine and plague,’ this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:
37 Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os houver lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este logar, e farei que habitem n'elle seguramente.
I will surely gather My people from all the lands to which I have banished them in My furious anger and great wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them dwell in safety.
38 E me serão por povo, e eu lhes serei por Deus.
They will be My people, and I will be their God.
39 E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um mesmo caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e de seus filhos, depois d'elles.
I will give them one heart and one way, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and for the good of their children after them.
40 E farei com elles um concerto eterno, que não tornarei de após elles, para fazer-lhes bem; e porei o meu temor no seu coração, para que nunca se apartem de mim
I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put My fear in their hearts, so that they will never turn away from Me.
41 E alegrar-me-hei d'elles, fazendo-lhes bem; e os plantarei n'esta terra certamente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.
Yes, I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
42 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre elle todo o bem que eu fallo a respeito d'elle.
For this is what the LORD says: Just as I have brought all this great disaster on this people, so I will bring on them all the good I have promised them.
43 E comprar-se-hão campos n'esta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Já está tão deserta, que não ha n'ella nem homem nem animal; está dada na mão dos chaldeos.
And fields will be bought in this land about which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; it has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans.’
44 Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e subscreverão os autos, e os sellarão, e farão que testifiquem testemunhas na terra de Benjamin, e nos contornos de Jerusalem, e nas cidades de Judah, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planicies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu captiveiro, diz o Senhor.
Fields will be purchased with silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah—the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev—because I will restore them from captivity, declares the LORD.”
