Jeremias 23
1 Ai dos pastores que destroem e dispersam as ovelhas do meu pasto, diz o Senhor.
Woe to the shepherds, Who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, saith Jehovah.
2 Portanto assim diz o Senhor, o Deus d'Israel, ácerca dos pastores que apascentam o meu povo: Vós dispersastes as minhas ovelhas, e as afugentastes, e não as visitastes: eis que visitarei sobre vós a maldade das vossas acções, diz o Senhor.
For concerning the shepherds, the feeders of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, And have not taken care of them. Behold, I am about to requite you For the evil of your doings, saith Jehovah.
3 E eu mesmo recolherei o resto das minhas ovelhas, de todas as terras para onde as tiver afugentado, e as farei voltar aos seus curraes; e fructificarão, e se multiplicarão.
But I will gather the remnant of my flock From all the countries whither I have driven them, And I will bring them back to their folds, And they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 E levantarei sobre ellas pastores que as apascentem, e nunca mais temerão, nem se assombrarão, nem faltarão, diz o Senhor.
And I will raise up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; They shall fear no more, nor be dismayed; Nor shall they be lost, saith Jehovah.
5 Eis que veem dias, diz o Senhor, em que levantarei a David um Renovo justo; e, sendo rei, reinará, e prosperará, e praticará o juizo e a justiça na terra.
Behold, the days are coming, saith Jehovah, When I will raise up from David a righteous Branch, And a king shall reign and prosper, And shall maintain justice and equity in the land.
6 Nos seus dias Judah será salvo, e Israel habitará seguro: e este será o seu nome, com que o nomearão: O Senhor justiça nossa.
In his days Judah shall be saved, And Israel shall dwell securely; And this is the name which shall be given him, Jehovah-is-our-salvation.
7 Portanto, eis que veem dias, diz o Senhor, e nunca mais dirão: Vive o Senhor, que fez subir os filhos d'Israel da terra do Egypto;
Therefore, behold, the days shall come, saith Jehovah, When they shall no more say, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt!”
8 Mas: Vive o Senhor, que fez subir, e que trouxe a geração da casa de Israel da terra do norte, e de todas as terras para onde os tinha arrojado; e habitarão na sua terra.
But, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up and led the race of Israel from the north country, And from all the countries whither I had driven them!” And they shall dwell in their own land.
9 Quanto aos prophetas, já o meu coração está quebrantado dentro de mim mesmo, todos os meus ossos tremem; sou como um homem bebado, e como um homem vencido de vinho, por causa do Senhor, e por causa das palavras da sua sanctidade.
Concerning the Prophets. My heart is broken within me; All my bones tremble. I am become like a drunken man, Like a man whom wine hath overcome, Because of Jehovah, And because of his holy words.
10 Porque a terra está cheia de adulteros, e a terra chora por causa da maldição: os pastos do deserto se seccam; porque a sua carreira é má, e a sua força não é recta.
For the land is full of adulteries; Because of a curse doth the land mourn; The pastures of the waste are dried up; For they run to do evil, And their might is without right.
11 Porque o propheta, assim como o sacerdote, estão contaminados; até na minha casa achei a sua maldade, diz o Senhor.
Yea, both prophet and priest are profane; Even in my house have I found their wickedness, saith Jehovah.
12 Portanto o seu caminho lhes será como uns escorregadouros na escuridão: serão repuxados, e cairão n'elle; porque trarei sobre elles mal no anno da sua visitação, diz o Senhor.
Therefore shall their way become as slippery places in the dark; They shall be driven on and fall therein; For I will bring evil upon them In the time of their visitation, saith Jehovah.
13 Nos prophetas de Samaria bem vi eu loucura: prophetizavam da parte de Baal, e faziam errar o meu povo Israel.
In the prophets of Samaria have I seen folly; They prophesy in the name of Baal, and cause my people Israel to err.
14 Mas nos prophetas de Jerusalem vejo uma coisa horrenda: commettem adulterios, e andam com falsidade, e esforçam as mãos dos malfeitores, para que não se convertam da sua maldade; teem-se tornado para mim como Sodoma, e os seus moradores como Gomorrah.
In the prophets of Jerusalem also have I seen a horrible thing; They commit adultery, and walk in falsehood; They strengthen the hands of evil-doers, So that none doth turn from his iniquity. They have all become to me as Sodom, And her inhabitants as Gomorrah.
15 Portanto assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos ácerca dos prophetas: Eis que lhes darei a comer alosna, e os farei beber aguas de fel; porque dos prophetas de Jerusalem saiu a contaminação sobre toda a terra.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, And give them the water of hemlock to drink; For from the prophets of Jerusalem Hath profaneness gone forth into all the land.
16 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Não deis ouvidos ás palavras dos prophetas, que vos prophetizam; fazem-vos esvaecer: fallam a visão do seu coração, não da bocca do Senhor.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Hearken not to the words of the prophets; They lead you to vanity; They utter the vision of their own heart, And not from the mouth of Jehovah.
17 Dizem continuamente aos que me desprezam: O Senhor disse: Paz tereis; e a qualquer que anda segundo o proposito do seu coração, dizem: Não virá mal sobre vós
To them that despise me they say continually, “Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace”; And to every one that walketh after the perverseness of his heart, “No evil shall come upon you.”
18 Porque, quem esteve no conselho do Senhor, e viu, e ouviu a sua palavra? quem esteve attento á sua palavra, e ouviu?
For who of them hath stood in the council of Jehovah, And hath seen and heard his word? Who hath listened to his word and heard it?
19 Eis que saiu com indignação a tempestade do Senhor; e uma tempestade penosa cairá cruelmente sobre a cabeça dos impios.
Behold a whirlwind from Jehovah goeth forth in fury, Even a rushing whirlwind; Upon the head of the wicked shall it rush.
20 Não se desviará a ira do Senhor, até que execute e cumpra os pensamentos do seu coração: no fim dos dias entendereis isso claramente.
The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not turn back, Until he shall have executed, until he shall have accomplished the purpose of his heart. In the latter days ye shall understand it fully.
21 Não mandei os prophetas, comtudo elles foram correndo: não lhes fallei a elles, comtudo elles prophetizaram.
I sent not these prophets, yet they ran; I spake not to them, yet they prophesied.
22 Porém, se estivessem no meu conselho, então fariam ouvir as minhas palavras ao meu povo, e os fariam voltar do seu mau caminho, e da maldade das suas acções.
For if they had stood in my council, Then would they have caused my people to hear my words, And would have turned them from their evil way. And from the wickedness of their doings.
23 Porventura sou eu Deus de perto, diz o Senhor, e não tambem Deus de longe?
Am I a God near at hand, saith Jehovah, And not a God afar off?
24 Esconder-se-hia alguem em esconderijos, que eu não o veja? diz o Senhor; porventura não encho eu os céus e a terra? diz o Senhor.
Can any one hide himself in secret places, So that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah; Do I nor fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.
25 Tenho ouvido o que dizem aquelles prophetas, prophetizando mentiras em meu nome, dizendo: Sonhei, sonhei.
I have heard what the prophets say, Who prophesy falsehood in my name, Saying, “I have dreamed, I have dreamed.”
26 Até quando será isto? ha pois ainda sonho no coração dos prophetas que prophetizam mentiras? são, porém, prophetas do engano do seu coração;
How long shall this be In the heart of the prophets, who prophesy falsehood, The prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
27 Que cuidam que farão que o meu povo se esqueça do meu nome pelos seus sonhos que cada um conta ao seu companheiro, assim como seus paes se esqueceram do meu nome por causa de Baal.
Who think to cause my people to forget my name By the dreams which they relate one to another, As their fathers forgot my name through Baal?
28 O propheta que tem um sonho conte o sonho; e aquelle em quem está a minha palavra, falle a minha palavra com verdade. Que tem a palha com o trigo? diz o Senhor.
The prophet who hath a dream, let him tell a dream; And he that hath my word, let him speak my word truly! What is the chaff to the wheat? saith Jehovah.
29 Porventura a minha palavra não é como o fogo, diz o Senhor, e como um martello que esmiuça a penha?
Is not my word like fire, saith Jehovah, And like a hammer, that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Portanto, eis que eu sou contra os prophetas, diz o Senhor, que furtam as minhas palavras, cada um ao seu companheiro.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That steal my words one from another.
31 Eis que eu sou contra os prophetas, diz o Senhor, que usam de sua lingua, e dizem: Assim o disse.
Behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That take their tongues and utter oracles.
32 Eis que eu sou contra os que prophetizam sonhos falsos, diz o Senhor, e os contam, e fazem errar o meu povo com as suas mentiras e com as suas leviandades; e eu não os enviei, nem lhes dei ordem; e não fizeram proveito nenhum a este povo, diz o Senhor.
Behold, I am against the prophets of false dreams, saith Jehovah, Who tell them, and cause my people to err By their lies and their arrogance. I have not sent them, nor commanded them, And they shall not profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.
33 Quando pois te perguntar este povo, ou qualquer propheta, ou sacerdote, dizendo: Qual é a carga do Senhor? Então lhe dirás: Que carga? Que vos deixarei, diz o Senhor.
And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest Shall ask thee, saying, “What is the burden from Jehovah?” Then say thou to them, “What is the burden?” That I will cast you away, saith Jehovah.
34 E, quanto ao propheta, e ao sacerdote, e ao povo, que disser, Carga do Senhor, eu castigarei o tal homem e a sua casa.
And the prophet, the priest, and the people, Who shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” I will punish that man and his house.
35 Assim direis, cada um ao seu companheiro, e cada um ao seu irmão: Que respondeu o Senhor? e que fallou o Senhor?
Thus shall ye speak, one to another: “What hath Jehovah answered?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
36 Mas nunca mais vos lembrareis da carga do Senhor; porque a cada um lhe servirá de carga a sua propria palavra; pois torceis as palavras do Deus vivo, do Senhor dos Exercitos, o nosso Deus.
And of a burden of Jehovah shall ye speak no more; Else shall every man's word be his burden, Because ye pervert the words of the living God, Of Jehovah of hosts, our God.
37 Assim dirás ao propheta: Que te respondeu o Senhor, e que fallou o Senhor?
Thus shalt thou say to the prophet: “What hath Jehovah answered thee?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
38 Mas, porquanto dizeis: Carga do Senhor; portanto assim o diz o Senhor: Porquanto dizeis esta palavra: Carga do Senhor, havendo-vos ordenado, dizendo: Não direis: Carga do Senhor;
If ye shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Then thus saith Jehovah: Because ye say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Although I sent to you and said, Ye shall not say, “The burden of Jehovah,”
39 Por isso, eis que tambem eu me esquecerei totalmente de vós, e a vós, e á cidade que vos dei a vós e a vossos paes, arrancarei da minha face.
Therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, And I will cast you, and the city which I gave to your fathers, out of my presence;
40 E porei sobre vós perpetuo opprobrio, e eterna vergonha, que não será esquecida.
And I will bring upon you an everlasting reproach, And a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.
