Isaías 66
1 Assim diz o Senhor: Os céus são o meu throno, e a terra o escabello dos meus pés: qual seria a casa que vós me edificarieis? e qual seria o logar do meu descanço?
Thus saith the Lord: Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool: what is this house that you will build to me? and what is this place of my rest?
2 Porque a minha mão fez todas estas coisas, e assim todas estas coisas foram feitas, diz o Senhor; mas para esse olharei, para o pobre e abatido de espirito, e que treme da minha palavra.
My hand made all these things, and all these things were made, saith the Lord. But to whom shall I have respect, but to him that is poor and little, and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my words?
3 Quem mata um boi é como o que fere um homem; quem sacrifica um cordeiro é como o que degola um cão; quem offerece uma oblação é como o que offerece sangue de porco; quem offerece incenso memorativo é como o que bemdiz a um idolo: tambem estes escolhem os seus proprios caminhos, e a sua alma toma prazer nas suas abominações;
He that sacrificeth an ox, is as if he slew a man: he that killeth a sheep in sacrifice, as if he should brain a dog: he that offereth an oblation, as if he should offer swine’s blood; he that remembereth incense, as if he should bless an idol. All these things have they chosen in their ways, and their soul is delighted in their abominations.
4 Tambem eu escolherei seus escarneos, farei vir sobre elles os seus temores; porquanto clamei e ninguem respondeu, fallei, e não escutaram; mas fizeram o que parece mal aos meus olhos, e escolheram aquillo em que não tinha prazer.
Wherefore I also will choose their mockeries, and will bring upon them the things they feared: because I called, and there was none that would answer; I have spoken, and they heard not; and they have done evil in my eyes, and have chosen the things that displease me.
5 Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, os que tremeis da sua palavra. Vossos irmãos, que vos aborrecem e longe de si vos separam por amor do meu nome, dizem: Glorifique-se o Senhor; porém apparecerá para a vossa alegria, e elles serão confundidos.
Hear the word of the Lord, you that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, and cast you out for my name’s sake, have said: Let the Lord be glorified, and we shall see in your joy: but they shall be confounded.
6 Uma voz de grande rumor haverá da cidade, uma voz do templo, a voz do Senhor, que dá o pago aos seus inimigos.
A voice of the people from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies.
7 Antes que estivesse de parto, pariu; antes que lhe viessem as dores, deu á luz um filho macho.
Before she was in labour, she brought forth; before her time came to be delivered, she brought forth a man child.
8 Quem jámais ouviu tal coisa? quem viu coisas similhantes? poder-se-hia fazer parir uma terra n'um só dia? nasceria uma nação de uma só vez? mas já Sião esteve de parto e já pariu seus filhos.
Who hath ever heard such a thing? and who hath seen the like to this? shall the earth bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be brought forth at once, because Sion hath been in labour, and hath brought forth her children?
9 Abriria eu a madre, e não geraria? diz o Senhor: geraria eu, e fechar-me-hia? diz o teu Deus.
Shall not I that make others to bring forth children, myself bring forth, saith the Lord? shall I, that give generation to others, be barren, saith the Lord thy God?
10 Gozae-vos com Jerusalem, e alegrae-vos d'ella, vós todos os que a amaes: alegrae-vos com ella de alegria, todos os que pranteastes por ella;
Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her.
11 Para que mameis, e vos farteis dos peitos das suas consolações: para que chupeis, e vos deleiteis com o resplandor da sua gloria.
That you may suck, and be filled with the breasts of her consolations: that you may milk out, and flow with delights, from the abundance of her glory.
12 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que estenderei sobre ella a paz como um rio, e a gloria das nações como um ribeiro que trasborda; então mamareis, ao colo vos trarão, e sobre os joelhos vos afagarão.
For thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring upon her as it were a river of peace, and as an overflowing torrent the glory of the Gentiles, which you shall suck; you shall be carried at the breasts, and upon the knees they shall caress you.
13 Como alguem a quem consola sua mãe, assim eu vos consolarei; e em Jerusalem vós sereis consolados.
As one whom the mother caresseth, so will I comfort you, and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 E o vereis e alegrar-se-ha o vosso coração, e os vossos ossos reverdecerão como a herva tenra: então a mão do Senhor será notoria aos seus servos, e elle se indignará contra os seus inimigos.
You shall see and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb, and the hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants, and he shall be angry with his enemies.
15 Porque, eis que o Senhor virá em fogo; e os seus carros como um torvelinho; para tornar a sua ira em furor, e a sua reprehensão em chammas de fogo.
For behold the Lord will come with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind, to render his wrath in indignation, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 Porque com fogo e com a sua espada entrará o Senhor em juizo com toda a carne; e os mortos do Senhor serão multiplicados.
For the Lord shall judge by fire, and by his sword unto all flesh, and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
17 Os que se sanctificam, e se purificam nos jardins uns após os outros, no meio d'elles: os que comem carne de porco, e a abominação, e o rato: juntamente serão consumidos, diz o Senhor.
They that were sanctified, and thought themselves clean in the gardens behind the gate within, they that did eat swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse: they shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.
18 Porque conheço as suas obras e os seus pensamentos! o tempo vem em que ajuntarei todas as nações e linguas; e virão, e verão a minha gloria.
But I know their works, and their thoughts: I come that I may gather them together with all nations and tongues: and they shall come and shall see my glory.
19 E porei entre elles um signal, e os que d'elles escaparem enviarei ás nações, a Tarsis, Pul, e Lud, frecheiros a Tubal e Javan, até ás ilhas de mais longe, que não ouviram a minha fama, nem viram a minha gloria; e annunciarão a minha gloria entre as nações
And I will set a sign among them, and I will send of them that shall be saved, to the Gentiles into the sea, into Africa, and Lydia them that draw the bow: into Italy, and Greece, to the islands afar off, to them that have not heard of me, and have not seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory to the Gentiles:
20 E trarão a todos os vossos irmãos, d'entre todas as nações, de presente ao Senhor, sobre cavallos, e em carros, e em liteiras, e sobre mulas, e sobre dromedarios, ao meu sancto monte, a Jerusalem, diz o Senhor: como quando os filhos de Israel trazem os seus presentes em vasos limpos á casa do Senhor:
And they shall bring all your brethren out of all nations for a gift to the Lord, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and in coaches, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as if the children of Israel should bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.
21 E tambem d'elles tomarei a alguns para sacerdotes e para levitas, diz o Senhor.
And I will take of them to be priests, and Levites, saith the Lord.
22 Porque, como os céus novos, e a terra nova, que hei de fazer, estarão diante da minha face, diz o Senhor, assim tambem ha de estar a vossa semente e o vosso nome.
For as the new heavens, and the new earth, which I will make to stand before me, saith the Lord: so shall your seed stand, and your name.
23 E será que desde uma lua nova até á outra, e desde um sabbado até ao outro, virá toda a carne a adorar perante mim, diz o Senhor.
And there shall be month after month, and sabbath after sabbath: and all flesh shall come to adore before my face, saith the Lord.
24 E sairão, e verão os corpos mortos dos homens que prevaricaram contra mim; porque o seu bicho nunca morrerá, nem o seu fogo se apagará; e serão em horror a toda a carne.
And they shall go out, and see the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched: and they shall be a loathsome sight to all flesh.
