Isaías 60

1 Levanta-te, esclarece, porque já vem a tua luz, e a gloria do Senhor já vae nascendo sobre ti.

Arise, shine, for thy light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon thee.

2 Porque eis que as trevas cobriram a terra, e a escuridão os povos; porém sobre ti o Senhor virá nascendo, e a sua gloria se verá sobre ti.

For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 E as nações caminharão á tua luz, e os reis ao resplandor que te nasceu.

And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

4 Levanta em redor os teus olhos, e vê; todos estes já se ajuntaram, e veem a ti: teus filhos virão de longe, e tuas filhas se crearão á tua ilharga.

Lift up thine eyes round about, and see. They all gather themselves together. They come to thee. Thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be carried in the arms.

5 Então o verás, e serás illuminado, e o teu coração se espantará e alargará; porque a abundancia do mar se tornará a ti, e as riquezas das nações virão a ti.

Then thou shall see and be radiant, and thy heart shall thrill and be enlarged, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to thee. The wealth of the nations shall come to thee.

6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedarios de Midian e Epha; todos virão de Seba: oiro e incenso trarão, e publicarão os louvores do Senhor.

The multitude of camels shall cover thee. The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praises of Jehovah.

7 Todas as ovelhas de Kedar se congregarão a ti, os carneiros de Nebaioth te servirão: com agrado subirão ao meu altar, e eu glorificarei a casa da minha gloria.

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to thee. The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to thee. They shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

8 Quem são estes que veem voando como nuvens, e como pombas ás suas janellas?

Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

9 Certamente as ilhas me aguardarão, e primeiro os navios de Tarsis, para trazer teus filhos de longe, a sua prata e o seu oiro com elles, para o nome do Senhor teu Deus, e para o Sancto de Israel, porquanto te glorificou.

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified thee.

10 E os filhos dos estrangeiros edificarão os teus muros, e os seus reis te servirão; porque no meu furor te feri, porém na minha benignidade tive misericordia de ti

And foreigners shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee. For in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor I have had mercy on thee.

11 E as tuas portas estarão abertas de continuo, nem de dia nem de noite se fecharão; para que tragam a ti as riquezas das nações, e, conduzidos com ellas, os seus reis.

Thy gates also shall be open continually. They shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to thee the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.

12 Porque a nação e o reino que te não servirem perecerão; e as taes nações de todo serão assoladas.

For that nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish. Yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

13 A gloria do Libano virá a ti; a faia, o pinheiro, e o buxo juntamente, para ornarem o logar do meu sanctuario, e glorificarei o logar dos meus pés.

The glory of Lebanon shall come to thee, the fir tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary. And I will make the place of my feet glorious.

14 Tambem virão a ti, inclinando-se, os filhos dos que te opprimiram; e prostrar-se-hão ás plantas dos teus pés todos os que te blasphemaram; e chamar-te-hão a cidade do Senhor, a Sião do Sancto de Israel.

And the sons of those who afflicted thee shall come bending to thee. And all those who despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet. And they shall call thee The city of Jehovah, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 Em logar de que foste deixada, e aborrecida, e ninguem passava por ti, te porei uma excellencia perpetua, um gozo de geração em geração.

Whereas thou have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

16 E mamarás o leite das nações, e mamarás os peitos dos reis; e saberás que eu sou o Senhor, o teu Salvador, e o teu Redemptor, o Possante de Jacob.

Thou shall also suck the milk of the nations, and shall suck the breast of kings. And thou shall know that I, Jehovah, am thy Savior, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 Por cobre trarei oiro, e por ferro trarei prata, e por madeira bronze, e por pedras ferro: e farei pacificos os teus inspectores e justos os teus exactores.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron. I will also make thy officers peace, and thine overseers righteousness.

18 Nunca mais se ouvirá violencia na tua terra, desolação nem destruição nos teus termos; mas aos teus muros chamarás salvação, e ás tuas portas louvor.

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders, but thou shall call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

19 Nunca mais te servirá o sol para luz do dia, nem com o seu resplandor a lua te alumiará; mas o Senhor será a tua luz perpetua, e o teu Deus a tua gloria.

The sun shall no more be thy light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to thee, but Jehovah will be to thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

20 Nunca mais se porá o teu sol, nem a tua lua minguará; porque o Senhor será a tua luz perpetua, e os dias do teu luto se virão a acabar.

Thy sun shall no more go down, nor shall thy moon withdraw itself, for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light. And the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

21 E todos os do teu povo serão justos, para sempre herdarão a terra; serão renovos por mim plantados, obra das minhas mãos, para que seja glorificado.

Thy people also shall all be righteous. They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

22 O mais pequeno virá a ser mil, e o minimo um povo grandissimo: eu, o Senhor, ao seu tempo o farei promptamente.

The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.
