Isaías 6
1 No anno em que morreu o rei Uzias, eu vi ao Senhor assentado sobre um alto e sublime throno; e as suas fraldas enchiam o templo.
In the yeere of the death of King Vzziah, I saw also the Lord sitting vpon an high throne, and lifted vp, and the lower partes thereof filled the Temple.
2 Seraphins estavam por cima d'elle: cada um tinha seis azas: com duas cobriam os seus rostos, e com duas cobriam os seus pés e com duas voavam.
The Seraphims stoode vpon it: euery one had sixe wings: with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine he did flie.
3 E clamavam uns aos outros, dizendo: Sancto, Sancto, Sancto é o Senhor dos Exercitos: toda a terra está cheia da sua gloria.
And one cryed to another, and sayde, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hostes: the whole world is full of his glory.
4 E os umbraes das portas se moveram com a voz do que clamava, e a casa se encheu de fumo.
And the lintles of the doore cheekes moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Então disse eu: Ai de mim! que vou perecendo, porquanto sou de labios immundos, e habito no meio d'um povo immundo de labios, porque os meus olhos viram o rei, o Senhor dos Exercitos.
Then I sayd, Wo is me: for I am vndone, because I am a man of polluted lips, and I dwell in the middes of a people of polluted lips: for mine eyes haue seene the King and Lord of hostes.
6 Porém um dos seraphins voou para mim, trazendo na sua mão uma braza viva, que tomara do altar com uma tenaz;
Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with the tongs:
7 E com ella tocou a minha bocca, e disse: Eis que isto tocou os teus labios: assim já se tirou de ti a tua culpa, e já está expiado o teu peccado.
And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.
8 Depois d'isto ouvi a voz do Senhor, que dizia: A quem enviarei, e quem ha e ir por nós? Então disse eu: Eis-me aqui, envia-me a mim.
Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd, Here am I, send me.
9 Então disse elle: Vae, e dize a este povo: Ouvi, de facto, e não entendeis, e vede, em verdade, mas não percebeis.
And he sayd, Goe, and say vnto this people, Ye shall heare in deede, but ye shall not vnderstand: ye shall plainely see, and not perceiue.
10 Engorda o coração d'este povo, e aggrava-lhe os ouvidos, e fecha-lhe os olhos; para que não veja com os seus olhos, e não ouça com os seus ouvidos, nem entenda com o seu coração, nem se converta, e elle o venha a sarar.
Make the heart of this people fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts, and conuert, and he heale them.
11 Então disse eu: Até quando, Senhor? E respondeu: Até que se assolem as cidades, e não fique morador algum, nem homem algum nas casas, e a terra seja assolada de todo.
Then sayd I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate,
12 E o Senhor alongue d'ella aos homens, e no meio da terra seja grande o desamparo.
And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great desolation in the mids of the land.
13 Porém ainda a decima parte ficará n'ella, e tornará a ser pastada: e como no carvalho, e como na azinheira, em que depois de se desfolharem, ainda fica firmeza, assim a sancta semente será a firmeza d'ella.
But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof.
