Isaías 43

1 Porém agora, assim diz o Senhor que te creou, ó Jacob, e que te formou, ó Israel: Não temas, porque eu te remi: chamei-te pelo teu nome, tu és meu.

And now thus says the Lord God that made you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you [by] your name; you are mine.

2 Quando passares pelas aguas estarei comtigo, e quando pelos rios, não te submergirão: quando passares pelo fogo, não te queimarás, nem a chamma arderá em ti.

And if you pass through water, I am with you; and the rivers shall not overflow you: and if you go through fire, you shall not be burned; the flame shall not burn you.

3 Porque eu sou o Senhor teu Deus, o Sancto d'Israel, o teu Salvador: dei ao Egypto por teu resgate a Ethiopia e a Seba, em teu logar.

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, that saves you: I have made Egypt and Ethiopia your ransom, and [given] Soene for you.

4 Emquanto foste precioso aos meus olhos, tambem foste glorificado, e eu te amei, pelo que dei os homens por ti, e os povos pela tua alma.

Since you became precious in my sight, you have become glorious, and I have loved you: and I will give men for you, and princes for your life.

5 Não temas, pois, porque estou comtigo: trarei a tua semente desde o oriente, e te ajuntarei desde o occidente.

Fear not; for I am with you: I will bring your seed from the east, and will gather you from the west.

6 Direi ao norte; Dá; e ao sul; Não retenhas: trazei meus filhos de longe, e minhas filhas das extremidades da terra.

I will say to the north, Bring; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from the [land] afar off, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

7 Todos os chamados do meu nome, e os que creei para a minha gloria, os formei, e tambem os fiz.

[even] all who are called by my name: for I have prepared him for my glory, and I have formed him, and have made him:

8 Trazei o povo cego, que tem olhos; e os surdos, que teem ouvidos.

and I have brought forth the blind people; for [their] eyes are alike blind, and they that have ears are deaf.

9 Todas as nações se congreguem juntamente, e os povos se reunam; quem d'entre elles pode annunciar isto, e fazer-nos ouvir as coisas antigas? produzam as suas testemunhas, para que se justifiquem, e se ouça, e se diga: Verdade é.

All the nations are gathered together, and princes shall be gathered out of them: who will declare these things? or who will declare to you things from the beginning? let them bring forth their witnesses, and be justified; and let them hear, and declare the truth.

10 Vós sois as minhas testemunhas, diz o Senhor, e o meu servo, a quem escolhi; para que o saibaes, e me creiaes, e entendaes que eu sou o mesmo, e que antes de mim deus nenhum se formou, e depois de mim nenhum haverá.

Be you my witnesses, and I [too am] a witness, says the Lord God, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know, and believe, and understand that I am [he]: before me there was no other God, and after me there shall be none.

11 Eu, eu sou o Senhor, e fóra de mim não ha Salvador.

I am God; and beside me there is no Saviour.

12 Eu annunciei, e eu salvei, e eu o fiz ouvir, e Deus estranho não houve entre vós, pois vós sois as minhas testemunhas, diz o Senhor; eu sou Deus.

I have declared, and have saved; I have reproached, and there was no strange [god] among you: you are my witnesses, and I am the Lord God,

13 Ainda antes que houvesse dia, eu sou; e ninguem ha que possa fazer escapar das minhas mãos: obrando eu, quem o desviará?

even from the beginning; and there is none that can deliver out of my hands: I will work, and who shall turn it back?

14 Assim diz o Senhor, teu Redemptor, o Sancto d'Israel: Por amor de vós enviei a Babylonia, e a todos os fiz descer como fugitivos, a saber, os chaldeos, nos navios em que exultavam.

Thus says the Lord God that redeems you, the Holy One of Israel; for your sakes I will send to Babylon, and I will stir up all that flee, and the Chaldeans shall be bound in ships.

15 Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Sancto, o Creador d'Israel, vosso Rei.

I am the Lord God, your Holy One, who have appointed for Israel your king.

16 Assim diz o Senhor, o que preparou no mar um caminho, e nas aguas impetuosas uma vereda;

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty water;

17 O que trouxe o carro e o cavallo, o exercito e a força: elles juntamente se deitaram, e nunca se levantarão: já estão apagados; como um pavio se apagaram.

who brought forth chariots and horse, and a mighty multitude: but they have lain down, and shall not rise: they are extinct, as quenched flax.

18 Não vos lembreis das coisas passadas, nem considereis as antigas.

Remember you not the former things, and consider not the ancient things.

19 Eis que farei uma coisa nova, agora sairá á luz: porventura não a sabereis? porque porei um caminho no deserto, e rios no ermo.

Behold, I [will] do new things, which shall presently spring forth, and you shall know them: and I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the dry land.

20 Os animaes do campo me servirão, os dragões, e os filhos do abestruz; porque porei aguas no deserto, e rios no ermo, para dar de beber ao meu povo, ao meu eleito.

the beasts of the field shall bless me, the owls and young ostriches; for I have given water in the wilderness, and rivers in the dry land, to give drink to my chosen race,

21 A este povo formei para mim; o meu louvor relatarão.

my people whom I have preserved to tell forth my praises.

22 Comtudo tu não me invocaste a mim, ó Jacob, mas te cançaste de mim, ó Israel.

I have not now called you, O Jacob; neither have I made you weary, O Israel.

23 Não me trouxeste o gado miudo dos teus holocaustos, nem me honraste com os teus sacrificios; não te fiz servir com presentes, nem te fatiguei com incenso.

You have not brought me the sheep of your whole burnt offering; neither have you glorified me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with sacrifices, neither have I wearied you with frankincense.

24 Não me compraste por dinheiro canna aromatica, nem com a gordura dos teus sacrificios me encheste, mas me déste trabalho com os teus peccados, e me cançaste com as tuas maldades.

Neither have you purchased for me victims for silver, neither have I desired the fat of your sacrifices: but you did stand before me in your sins, and in your iniquities.

25 Eu, eu sou o que apago as tuas transgressões por amor de mim, e dos teus peccados me não lembro.

I, [even] I, am he that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake, and your sins; and I will not remember [them].

26 Faze-me lembrar; entremos em juizo juntamente: aponta tu as tuas razões, para que te possa justificar.

But do you remember, and let us plead [together]: do you first confess your transgressions, that you may be justified.

27 Teu primeiro pae peccou, e os teus interpretes prevaricaram contra mim.

Your fathers first, and your princes have transgressed against me.

28 Pelo que profanarei os maioraes do sanctuario; e farei de Jacob um anathema, e de Israel um opprobrio.

And the princes have defiled my sanctuaries: so I gave Jacob [to enemies] to destroy, and Israel to reproach.
